My eyes decided they weren't putting up with glasses and contacts any longer. I started having so many problems with contacts drying out immediately. I also started having more and more frequent headaches, no matter what we did with the prescription. I decided to make a consultation to see if I was eligible for Lasik. I'm so glad I did! The consultation was fantastic. The front desk lady was also a tech and did all my testing before the doctor. She was soooo great and personable. She made me feel so at ease and comfortable. Next, the doctor did some other tests and decided I was a good candidate for LASIK. She was absolutely great as well and told me it would be life-changing for me since my eyesight was so bad. She was right! So, on my procedure day, we were told to be there around 230pm. I can say we waited sooo long before I went back, over 2 hours past my appointment. It was a bit frustrating, but not a huge deal. There were many people there, like way more than I expected to be there. Anyway, once I went back, my eyes were numbed with some drops, then it was showtime! The room with the laser has an "observation" area; my fiance was able to watch the entire procedure through the windows and on the monitor. I thought that was super cool. As far as the procedure went? Easy, so easy. The doctor made me feel so comfortable, talked me through everything, and it was a flawless experience. Makes me wish I did this a decade ago. It didn't hurt at all, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to get through. I had some stinging later that night, but nothing crazy. I got lasik in 2018 & got an enhancement in 2025. 2018 LASIK procedure/recovery first time around was soooo easy. Dr Gaines did my evaluation & she was so kind and patient and informative. Dr Ellis did my procedure & honestly in and out in ~10 ish minutes if that. Maybe 5 min lol. Recovery was very very easy. Maybe uncomfortable for 2-3 days but I just took Benadryl around the clock to sleep through those days. I was really happy with the result but over the years noticed I was having issues seeing street signs & horrible night vision. Which I always knew was a possibility so I got the lifetime warranty up front. Now come October 2025, I had some time off work & decided to get an enhancement. I can't wear contacts bc of some eye thing I forget, and I'm too active for glasses. Dr Gaines (again the sweetest person alive) recommended prk this time. Dr Ellis did my procedure again easy peasy but I will say it felt like it took longer? And a bit more pressure/uncomfortable than lasik but I didn't have Valium this time so maybe it was just in my head. It didn't hurt by any means but I think I was a bit more freaked out & in my head. Healing process sucked. Absolutely could not open my eyes for 2-3 days. Tearing up all the time. Horrible horrible. I was back to normal ish after 5 days & even then my eyes were so sensitive to light and I had to rest a lot. And everything was blurry and I won't lie I was spiraling and worried that I was going blind. I can't imagine working immediately after the procedure. I got the protective lens removed after 6th day & I'd say I was able to see everything clearly by then. But I'm two months post enhancement & im very very happy with the results. Dry eyes in the morning is real but I use ointment at night & that helps a ton. TLDR lasik in 2018, prk enhancement in 2025 (horrible recovery). doctors & staff amazing. No regrets. read more

Had the procedure done 4 days ago, and the results are truly mind-blowing. The process was super easy- a free consultation and then you're ready to schedule the procedure. Everyone in the office is kind and will answer any questions you have, no matter how small. I struggle with anxiety, especially in medical settings, and they were super receptive and explained everything thoroughly. This process had a couple moments that gave me pause. 1. It's kinda pricey, even with the $1,000 discount 2. The procedure itself is uncomfortable. The LasikPlus office goes above and beyond to make you comfortable: there are no needles and no blades in the whole process. But, at the end of the day they are holding your eye open with a metal device and putting a laser in your eyeball. Even with those things, I'd do it again. Woo! I had my surgery two days after Christmas 2013. The next morning, I could see 20/20. Now, two months later, I see 20/15. It's incredible. I'll briefly describe the benefits of not needing contacts: I don't have to go through the trouble of ordering them, picking them up if they're backordered, dealing with doctors who change my prescription from non-astigmatism to astigmatism for my slight astigmatism from year to year, putting in contacts, being too lazy to put in contacts and then feeling naked even with glasses, having eyes too irritated to wear contacts, having a contact rip, remembering to change contacts every so often so I can order more contacts, looking for a dropped contact, forgetting to take contacts out and being confused when they aren't in the case in the morning, and my favorite: stroking the surface of my eyes to search for contacts at the end of the day only to realize, as I catch a glance of my bloodshot eyes, that I wore glasses rather than put in contacts that morning. Yes, I have traded all of these activities for: regular artificial tears (as necessary), optional prescription eyedrops (2x a day), interest-free payments of about $200 over 18 months, and bragging rights. "My vision is 20/15 now. It's only supposed to get better over the next few months. Do you want my unopened solution?" Then my friends say, "Wow, I want to do that someday." Someday came for me when my friend told me how well her LASIK went at LASIK Plus, and that she got free financing and paid about $3,500 in total. They were about an hour and a half late into admitting me because they decided not to be open on a certain day or afternoon and were trying to fit in all of those people on the afternoon of my appointment. I can see! I can see in the morning when I wake up! I can see in the evening before I go to bed! I can see when in the water! I can see without contacts! I can see without glasses! Seriously, if you're considering Lasik, what are you waiting for? Yes, it's a big investment - but honestly, if you do the math and add up the extra costs for contact lens fitting, contacts, contact solution, and backup glasses every year for years and years - you may see it's worth it in the long run! After wearing glasses and contacts for the better part of my life (over two decades, give or take), and seeing my soon-to-be husband get Lasik and loving the outcome, I decided it was time to take the leap. I had a free consultation, where they measure everything about your eyes (even things I didn't know they could measure), and estimate the cost of fixing them. The cost is definitely a pain point, but after setting up the maximum HSA amount for the year (that's tax free money!), the (small) discount from my insurance, and the promotion they were running, to be able to see perfectly without the aid of anything for at least another 15-20 years (before Presbyopia kicks in) made it worth it to me (plus, I got a lot of points on my credit card!). Everyone on the staff is absolutely great - and Dr. Alban was the best. She is the doctor that actually does the procedure, and I didn't even get to meet her until the day-of. She was personable, calming, and talks you through each step of the procedure - so when you're at the point where you lose your vision for a second (scary as hell), she is talking you through what to expect, what you will feel, and what will happen next. When it was all over, and I stood up from the chair, and I could see - I started to cry and gave her a hug! Yes, getting Lasik was an emotional experience for me! Her call that evening to ask how I was doing was a nice touch. The very next day, you're set up for a checkup - and then on one month, three month, and six month intervals. It's been almost two months since I've gotten Lasik, and I can see just as well as I did with contacts. Once my eyes completely heal, it's possible I will see even better than I could with contacts. I don't have any of the side-effects you hear about, except for mild dry eye, which is slowly going away, thanks to the prescription Restasis and artificial tears. So, I now see 20/15. Yes, it's just as awesome as it sounds. Once I decided to have Lasik, I set out in a pretty serious mission to decide which provider to choose. This is your eye sight we're talking about right? After many phone calls and consultations at 4 different offices, I was confident in my decision to choose LasikPlus. Here's why: 1) So it turns out I have thin corneas. This complicates the decision of which procedure to have significantly. 2 other places provided me this info, then shoved me out the door confused and anxious. So, let me just say, I have 20/15 vision and have no complaints about the individual staff members. I'm not crashing into walls at night, they were all professional and friendly, the surgery itself couldn't have gone smoother. However. I booked my surgery with them right after I moved here, and their advertising post surgery has made me regret not waiting until I learned more about their marketing strategy, or at least used someone who doesn't so blatantly upcharge people by *literally* thousands of dollars for no reason. I paid $2,800 for my surgery. Other people clearly spent way more than I did, based on the reviews, and I'm constantly hearing commercials on the radio saying you can get the same thing here for $500. I don't know about you, but there's a whole lot I can do with $2300 than give it to a guy for a new Jag out of generosity. Between the constant ads for discounts, the bizarre push to write this review for a cheap t shirt (but make sure you pay the $15 for the eye drops you NEED), and the $400 off coupon they gave me to give a friend, I'm pretty much only recommending them to people who can wait for the commercial to come back on or at the very least get a coupon somewhere. I mean, how rude. Had I paid less, I wouldn't be so annoyed and think the rest of their behavior was so tacky. But, y'all know you got some newbie in there who was paying full price for no reason. The least you could have done was not blabber on at me about how you check the inventory every night so make sure I write my review for that t shirt when I get home.... when you're not even supposed to be looking at the computer. (That little tidbit won't come on their 3 item, post surgery check list, either.), or suggested I can get my eye drops there "for a whole dollar less than Walgreens", or made me wait an hour plus for surgery, or close so early every day that you can't even go on your way home from work to get a check up... Beware of shady practices! This place gave me used car salesman vibes. They are definitely highly sales motivated and was not upfront with me when it came to offering prices. To start, they were pushy about getting me scheduled as soon as possible quoting the "sale" price wasn't going to last if I didn't book soon. Then what really angered me was that they signed me up for a credit card that I never agreed to sign up for! Isn't that illegal?! The sales person, Janae (spelling?) told me that they offer financing and she could run a "soft" credit run to check to see if I qualify and that it wouldn't be a hard pull. Next thing, I know she tells me I'm getting a credit card in the mail in the next few weeks. What?! I try to calmly tell her that I never agreed to signing up for a credit card and she misled me. She just casually dismissed my concern saying that it's not a credit line until I activate it. Well, that's not how that works. It was 100% a hard pull and a real credit line as evidence by the notice I got from my credit report service that notified me of both the hard pull and my new line of credit that I never asked for or agreed to! I'm very angry at these kinds of practices and would not recommend this place to anyone. They are only interested in your money and do not respect your rights as a consumer. AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With that said, my review is based more on having lasik done rather than on where you choose to do. Don't get me wrong, Lasik Plus was great and made choosing surgery that much easier, but I will focus more on why having lasik surgery is awesome. I had the lasik surgery done on 12/27/2013 and it was the best decision I ever made. LasikPlus checked the boxes for what I wanted. Plenty of locations throughout the country, which is good in case you move and need touch up work later. On top of that, they are well established company thats been around for years and will continue to be around for many more so a lifetime touch up plan or whatever they call works best for young people like me, age 25. Price point. I went and had surgery done when they offered a discount of $600 plus 5% for vision insurance. Brought my total to a little above $3500. People think that's expensive but that is a very myopic viewpoint. Most people look at lasik on a cost basis. Will lasik save me money over the long haul and so far. I think that is the wrong approach to take. The better question to ask is, will lasik change my quality of life? My answer, TENFOLD!! After the surgery, which takes maybe 2-3 hours, you will feel a bit of discomfort but that all dissipates once you lay down and grap a few hours of sleep. The first week is the worse but its beyond worth it. You just have to remind yourself of the positives. No more contacts, no more glasses, no more squinting, just clear ass vision. And then after that first week, it all clicks. You begin to kick yourself for enduring all those years of contacts and glasses. Your vision will be that perfect. It is that amazing. Three months later and I have to say it has improved my life better than any new laptop or car or house ever could, I mean its your vision and you use that every waking minute your awake. There is no depreciation of your investment. Picture yourself driving down the highway and there is a light rain. If you dont use your wipers everything is a little blurry but once you kick those wiper blades into action, everything clears up in a second. That is what lasik surgery offers. I paid about $3000 for wavefront treatment out of my Health Savings Account. I had a mild-to-moderate prescription that was corrected to 20/15 vision. I can't really ask for anything else. There were no fees for follow up appointments for one year, and the staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. When scheduling, keep in mind you may get large red spots on the whites of your eyes that can last for a month or so. Do plan a whole weekend for recovery. read more

We made our appointment they set him up for his surgery. Immediately after the surgery We called in He was in horrible pain. And could not see .. they said that's normal . Come to find out his contact fell out and he should of come in but the doctors failed us !! We have been in several times since surgery his eye sight worse!! He lost depth perception!! They have nothing to say except take some vitamins! Unacceptable wish we would of never gone here should of gone to Clarkson. They butchered his eye and still expect us to pay for the next 12 months For worse eye site than he had! I wanted to follow up my review now some time has passed. It's been over 6 months since my procedure and I've had no issues. The eye dryness has gone away, I haven't experienced any of the issues with brightness or night driving that had been warned about possibility. I will say what every person seems to. I wish I had done this sooner. Went on my honeymoon and never had to worry about contacts or glasses or issues swimming or snorkeling. Life is supposed to be like this. I had the procedure done about 2 months ago and I am so mad at myself for not having done it sooner! I wish I had done it years ago! The office staff was great, the optometrist was very friendly and informative, and the surgeon was efficient and precise. I had a very strong prescription and astigmatism and they were still able to treat me. The whole procedure only took a few minutes and by the next day I could see almost perfectly. Alright. Whoever has fear of getting LASIK go to this place. Got my treatment done about 19 hours ago and I feel great. I can already notice a huge difference. I walked in yesterday and they re-checked my eyes then the surgeon walked in and introduced herself. She told me she would talk me through the procedure which at first I felt was a little weird because she wouldn't shut up when I was under the laser but when I was forgetting to breathe or starting to freak out a bit because it's just a weird experience her voice was actually nice to listen to and it calmed me down. I felt for a second I was messing up because I thought my eyes were moving but the laser is state of the art apparently tracks your eye movement. No pain at all during the treatment but after my eyes burned pretty good. They told me this would happen. I passed out for a few hours when I got home and when I woke up everything was great.
