This was the second part of the procedure and we were probably less than 5 minutes into the procedure.
    Dale R.

About two weeks ago, I did a quick Google search of Lasik clinics in the Columbus area. Towards the top of the search was LasikPlus based out of Easton. After reading through numerous reviews, I felt confident LasikPlus would be a suitable place to consider for fixing my jacked-up eyes. Now, to be clear, what most enticed me was their website claiming the procedure could be as low as $250 per eye. Shoot! At that rate, I could pay cash and be done with the whole thing. BUT, in reality, my quote ended up being closer to a couple grand per eye. Because I was able to pay for the whole thing upfront, they kicked off an extra $1k from the tab. Though the cost wasn't $250 per eye, it was WAY cheaper than I originally assumed it would be. In my mind, I thought it'd run closer to $5k per eye, but I guess those crazy rates are gone! What also caught my eye (no pun intended) was their lifetime guarantee. So, if my eyes decided to go wonky, I could go BACK in and get them tuned up. Okay, I was sold. LasikPlus was ready to get me in right away, but I chose to prolong it by 2 weeks so I could get all my business commitments in order. After all, there'd be some recovery time. The day of the procedure, I got in and was prepared to be in the clinic for 1.5-2 hours for a 10-15-minute process. Though I had to wait on about 4-5 people ahead of me, I didn't have to wait more than about an hour before I was in and out. As for the procedure, it was easy peezy...at first. They numb your eyes, you wait a few minutes and then the fun begins. I wasn't the least bit nervous, so I passed on taking a Valium. Boy, did I regret that! It's all fun and games till you have stuff touching your eyeball and some pretty intense pressure. But, for however intense it was, the procedure was done before my anxiety could get any worse. Next, all I had to do was go home, rest with my eyes closed for 4 hours. At first, that was easy enough, but then the burning started to set in. When they tell you that you'll have discomfort and some burning, they REALLY mean it. But, like clockwork, the burning subsided within 4 hours, I got up and was able to experience my new 20/20 vision with some haziness (due to swelling). It's been 3 days since the procedure, and I have some haziness. I went into my check-up and they approved me to be free and clear. I just have to take a series of eye drops for the rest of the week and then continue with a couple eye drops for the next month. After that, they said I'd be good to go and if I needed anything to get in touch with them. Overall, my experience with LasikPlus has been stellar. Their staff was family-like, they set my mind at ease and thoroughly covered all avenues throughout the experience. I'd highly recommend looking into LasikPlus if you're considering this treatment. Fair warning: the $250 minimum most likely will NOT apply to you. Go into it with an open mind and be prepared to invest a bit. After all, it's premium service and high-quality results, so you shouldn't expect bargain-basement pricing. Five-well-earned stars.

Dr Thomas and his team are the best!

Fiften years ago there were only maybe a dozen to twenty eye neurologists in the USA. There are more now but not that many... so the fact that we have three on staff here is incredibly fortunate. The fact that the two I have had care for my vision are empathetic as well as thoroughly skilled is just beyond amazing luck. On the day of your appt charge your phone or bring something to occupy yourself. There can be a lot of waiting... this is normal! Why??? Their patients all have complex issues and the doctors will take as much time to thoroughly try to solve each one. One by one.... That can back up the flow. They will come in fully prepared (meaning they have read your chart thoroughly prior to seeing you) and will ask you as many questions to get to the root of the problem and you will leave with an action plan and answers. The exact script: "I'm calling about your appointment next week, I'll go ahead and cancel it for you unless you tell me otherwise". To make the assumption that I want my appointment cancled, the appointment that I scheduled in person and made sure I scheduled the rest of my life around, is crazy. They call during work hours to proactively "go ahead and cancel your appointment for you", and I am not able to answer my phone during work hours. I recommend you change your language and use a simple "text C to confirm" service instead of doing me this passive aggressive "favor". I'll "go ahead" and find myself a different practice for my eye exams.

It turns out that the guy I used to go to has moved to another state, so I was on the hunt for a new optometrist. I called yesterday December 29, and they were able to fit me for the next day. Very convenient although I'm not sure if this is the norm. (very very friendly on the phone, by the way.) Upon showing up at 10:00am Dr. Weaver was 10 minutes late. At first I was a little disappointed until I learned that she had thrown out her neck and back the previous evening and had to have her assistant pick her up and take her to the chiropractor early that morning and then driver her to work. Why do I bring this up? Because any other doctor I've ever had would have just canceled the appointment and rescheduled, which would have been very inconvenient for me as I wanted to get in by the end of the year. This was awesome. I felt bad because throughout the exam it was clear she was in some pain, but she didn't make a fuss. 5 star customer service! Her exam was thorough and walked me through any scenarios I might have with my contacts (I've got a slightly special case because I wanted contacts, but work on computers 9+ hours a day which usually means I'm stuck with glasses) She answered all questions, was very friendly and polite. When it came time for the billing she was even willing to work through different payment dates/scheduling to get the best deal from my insurance. (speaking of insurance, I didn't see any omissions as to the providers that she accepts- all the major carriers were there) All in all a really great experience here and with Dr. Weaver (and her assistant, who's name escapes me), she's just such a nice person and very easy to work with that I'll definitely be back and highly recommend you check her out if you're in the market. Speaking of which, when's the last time you shopped around for a new eye doc or got a check up? ;-)

This is in regard to my OVERALL Warby Parker experience and not necessarily Easton. I cancelled…read morethe order but clearly the customer service rep continued to not listen. I changed the address in the record LONG before the order shipped but the glasses will still be sent to my old house. Warby Parker is really terrible and I will return the glasses IF they are ever received......which I doubt they will be. The incredibly rude customer service rep simply talks over you and from a script having nothing to do with my question or concern. At the end of the unbearable conversation with this less than professional person, I cancelled the order and I would bet $1000 the order never got cancelled. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM WARBY PARKER - it is not easier; it is not better and it is not cheaper. It is just hours and hours of a nightmare dealing with this company.
