I have nothing but positive feedback about my surgery experience! The staff at the clinics were professional, helpful, supportive and accommodating. The pre-op to determine if I was a candidate was through and informative. Any questions or concerns I had regarding the surgery, the cost, benefits and risks were answered. My surgery went very well and Dr. Hakim talked me through the surgery so I knew what was happening during the whole procedure. My 24 hours post-op to check my eyes after the surgery was quick and straight-forward, because I had no issues with my eyes I was advised to keep following my drops schedule. I am so excited to live a glasses-free life and can't thank LASIK MD enough! I highly recommend anyone looking to get their eyes done to go with LASIK MD. read more

Most unprofessional company I have ever been to, what ever you do DO NOT go to Kitchener/Waterloo location!!! I got mine done back in July/Aug. I went to the consults before hand and everything seemed great they told me to arrive 15 min before my appointment to fill out paperwork and then I would be seen. I arrived prob 25 min before my appointment filled out the paper work and waited for over 3 hours! Fine what ever I had to wait, I was just not expecting such a long period of wait time. Finally I got in and got my eyes done, the doctor did an amazing job! but then it went down hill from there... On our way home (we live in guelph 45 min-ish to Lasik location) there was an small accident in front of us which delayed us a bit. Finally we got to shoppers to fill my eye drop prescription but as we were walking into the store I felt my left eye get all weird (Was wearing the glasses the ENTIRE time and DID NOT touch my eye) so we went back out the car and put in those temporary drops, it felt better after. Next day we went to our 9 am apt (keep in mind each trip to Lasik there and back overall takes just over an hour) I told the lady they my eye went weird, she explained my lid had folded in half and we would need to redo the procedure (which is fine) but then she made it try and seem like it was MY fault for the lid folding in half (talk about customer service)....now it gets worse...she tells me that the doctor who performed my procedure went on vacation after he did the surgeries from the day before (Why the HELL would you schedule dozens of surgeries if your surgeon was going on vacation the NEXT day! makes 0 sense) anyways she proceeds to tell me that I will have to see the "on call doctor" but they "don't know where the on call doctor is located" (Okay well if you know the original doctor is going on vacation it's pretty damn stupid for you not to know where the on call doctor is located in cases of emergencies). She then said please wait 20 min while we figure out where hes located .... fine also keep in mind the driver who drove to me to my appointment was a G1 driver and I can't drive because i can't see. She comes back and says the on call doctor is located in HAMILTON! and WE have to drive to HIM! That's an HOUR drive with using the highway which we couldn't do since he was a G1 driver! But here's the kicker she then tells us that when we arrive "we will have to wait for the doctor because if he arrives before you and has to wait he will be in a pissy mood". Are you F-ING kidding me! I just dropped basically $3,000 for the procedure have done over 2 hours of driving for consults and appointments, PAID FOR PARKING at your facility and now I have to driver another HOUR and then another HOUR back home! Anyways we left to Hamilton severely unimpressed. We got to Hamilton waited about 20 min (on the drive we got 2 calls demanding to know how far we were) re-did my left eye, doctor was very nice as well as staff. Then as we are about to leave the lady tells me "see you tomorrow at 10 am" (either that or 9 am) and I was like excuse me I don't remember making an appointment, so she told the Kitchener location to call me because they are closed the following day so I would have to drive back to Hamilton for a follow up (HELL FRICKEN NO). The lady from Kitchener calls and practically black mails me saying if i don't go they will take away my 5 year guarantee or what ever it's called. Now I work commission work, I DON'T get paid if im NOT at work...I have already taken 3 days off! Which is a lot for a full-time uni student paying lots of bills! Plus all the money spent on gas driving around like a chicken with my head cut off because Lasik couldn't get their act together. So I explained that to her and she just got pissy with me about it essentially, anyways I ended up going in the next day and never went back and I recommend anyone consider going to that location try a different one or go to a different company!!!! read more

They schedule an appointment with you but it's not actually an appointment. I've been waiting over 30 minutes asked when the dr would see me and was told whenever he's free that the appointment does not mean you will be seen at that time. Very unprofessional! read more

What an amazing experience at Lasik MD! Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and that all of my questions were well answered. They were all so polite and reassuring from the consultation to the procedure! Dr. Hakim was extremely reassuring and guided me through the procedure to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. I felt as though I was treated as a unique individual and not just another person walking into the office. The next day I could already see 20/20 vision!
