i've had an incredible, uplifting experience working with debbie and chanel. everyone notices my…read moreglow and big smile even when i tell them it's a piece. this truly demonstrates the passion, love and care they have for their clients. for someone who has struggled for many years- continues to live with managing the condition (including thousands of dollars spent on cheap wigs) and to be able to smile and radiate is life changing!!

This was the worst hair appointment of my life. I came in with a brand new unit in hopes for a cut…read morein. I was at this salon for over 8 hours only to get the brand new unit completely destroyed. During my appointment my stylist Chanel said several times that she needed to buy me new unit and that she doesn't usually do these. Here is what went wrong. They did not have the correct glue for lace. The glue was applied to both the lace and my scalp (a huge no-no to the lace). I even mentioned it. Five minutes later the glue had seeped all the way through the lace. This caused a disaster. My hair was covered in glue. I then had to have someone come drop proper glue off (why offer a service if you are not even prepared). Then once it was on she literally cut the hair on the back shorter than my real hair! Between the glue disaster and the cut my brand new system was ruined. My stylist kept apologizing to me says she would buy me a new unit and she is sorry that she doesn't really do these. I got sent home with an awful cut, my day wasted and glue was coated all over my hair! I then stopped in the next day to show them the disaster and no one was at the salon. I had left a voicemail with Debbie and she eventually got back to me. I told her what happened. She refunded me the money for the cut in service but not the unit. She even expressed how she shouldn't have even taken me as they normally only do woman's hair. I told her that I would then like a refund for my unit that her inexperienced stylist had botched. I told her how much my hair cost, she than said " they don't cost that much". Again why would she know if she doesn't use this hair often at her salon. I sent her an email with the invoice. I got no response. The super frustrating part is that I waited 6 months for this hair to come in from back order (350$). I ended up having to wait 2 weeks with an awful head of hair on to emergency fly to New York City to have my unit done correctly. The stylists jaws hit the ground when they saw what hairlab Chicago had done to me. The whole experience was traumatizing and stressful and I wasn't heard by owner! In my opinion if you knew better and even admitted that she shouldn't have accepted me as client, then why make me responsible for your mistake! I would never let a client walk out looking like this and then hold them financially responsible. Over all Debbie doesn't want to take responsibility for the mistake and I'm here to warn any further men to not come here! I am completely disgusted and disappointed with my experience here. Apparently it's my fault for getting my hair done there? I just don't get Debbie's logic. They should really take full responsibility to make this right on their end. I have pictures and videos of the whole experience.

I try and visit Lulu's Wiggin Out in Crystal Lake a couple times a year. I live in Sleepy Hollow,…read moreso the location is near. This shop is very hip, eclectic, fun, and personable. Their primary business is wigs, primarily for woman who are cancer survivors and lost their hair from medical procedures. Therefore, the wigs offered are totally top of the line, and the owner and associates are very compassionate for these special needs. I simply shop Lulu's to browse their funky jewelry, clothing, purses, beach and mermaid décor, and new finds that Lulu merchandises! Since I always dress up for Halloween, and absolutely adore wearing wigs this one season per year - Lulu's is the store I choose for top of the line wigs. Sure, I always can buy online or Spirit of Halloween for cheap wigs, but I would rather patronize Lulu's for their unique offerings and quality. This year I had in mind a "white" bob-type hairstyle wig - similar to the wigs rock star "Sia" or "GaGa" sport. Since Lulu just started displaying their Halloween wigs, they actually checked their stock downstairs for me and brought upstairs all their "white" Halloween wigs!!! I picked the exact wig I had in mind. The big plus was that the Halloween wigs was 20% off due to the seasonal discount for Halloween!!! All "hip" woman should check this store out - their merchandise, although slightly pricier than some other boutiques, find product that is original, well-made, and simply lovely!!!

Great service. Worked to make sure wig fit right and brought out many different styles and willing…read moreand happy to bring more. So friendly and helpful
