After three attempts by email to contact them, I feel they are not interested in my business.

Some really talented lash extension technicians and other beauty specialists (waxing, threading,…read morefacials, micro blading) decided to open their own studio and pass the savings on to their valued customers! I have been going since their opening day because I know my lash girl Melissa personally and she has been doing my lashes for years...and I am addicted to lash extensions! Conveniently located around the corner from Chester Station, and just a couple doors over from The Big Carrot, this lovely little beauty studio is an oasis of pampering and beautifying! The prices are incredibly reasonable without sacrificing quality. It's not a salon where the same tech does everything, the girls who do lashes have been doing nothing but lashes for years for many satisfied customers, present company included. Usually at these prices you would be getting someone who usually does nails making a mess of your lashes or doing small sections of strip lashes and calling them extensions, where at 6 Degrees you get the real deal for a lot less than other lash extension places. The ladies here are friendly, fun and gorgeous and it feels like hanging out with friends with the bonus of leaving pampered and prettier than you arrived! It's easy to book through their website but you can call or text too! I'm more than a fan, I'm an addict.

I have had facials done by Florence since ~10 years ago. She is professional, experienced and does…read morea great job! She is knowledgeable and constantly learning and improving (new products and techniques). Also, she uses good products (unlike some other facial places that only care about profit). Price is reasonable. It's very good value overall. She would recommend good products for your day-to-day use, but would not hard-sell anything to you (so you can really relax). For the nails, I always find it difficult for me to make a decision on the color/design so I just went with Florence's recommendation and it turned out so nice :) I love them! Now with 6 Degrees Studio, I can get everything done from facial to nails to eyelashes extension (which I'm gonna try next time). The place is very easy to find, the entrance is just a couple doors next to the Big Carrot on Danforth. (locals and foodies would definite know :p) The interior is very nice and calming. It's where I know I can just relax and know everything will be well taken care of. The ladies are all gorgeous and friendly. As far as I could see, they have very good quality clientele.

I came to the conclusion that my hair needed to be dyed... one colour! I recently ran into an acquaintance from college who I found out is a part owner of a salon in the Danforth. Since I have no loyalty to hair salons and wanted try a new place I booked an appointment t see her that week. Even though this location is super far from my place, it is conveniently located next to Chester station. I went up to the second floor and was greeted by the friendliest assistant I had even encountered. She brought me tea and showed me to my seat. Mandye (the hair dresser) went over colour options with me and suggested a couple different things she thought would work well. Their selection of trashy tabloid magazines was impressive and faster than I could say "what other ho did Jesse James sleep with?!" I was done and ready for my bang trim. In the end the service was good, my colour is great and as a bonus there is an AMAZING shoe shop (Balisi) a few doors down.

Bonus fun and enjoyable part was Kel, the shampooist. A very pleasant person to be around. Perhaps the best part of my visit, was probably when she massaged my scalp so wonderfully with that peppermint hair product. *drool* I wonder if we can get our scalp massaged like that, all day long??? I only wished that I was offered water, I had to ask for it, twice. (The last hair salon that I went to was Evoke (uptown). They spoiled me w/ juicy mixes (cranberry with grapefruit), and happened to be sharing some rich chocolate cake with all clients that day). Forgiveable, though. Also, I would have preferred the assortment of magazines to be closer to me. I sat in my chair while the colour set, blah'd and bored. I texted, but in the end I was still bored and too physically tired from all my other errands that day to bother getting up and picking some mags up. I surely would have looked at them, were a few brought over. Overall, it was a good experience. I'd be open to going again, but would be willing to pay a bit more for more service (drinks). Kel is a great and personable shampooist, I'd love to go back just for a shampoo and scalp massage!
