It's fairly lengthy (yes more lengthy than this review) and strenuous but I believe it's only right to share my story regarding my experience with this business and my artist, Miriam. I initially came to her wanting microblading done because I grew up during the 'thin brow fad' in the 90s and I rarely wear makeup so I wanted a more "natural yet maintenanced" look. I will be the first to say that in the cosmetic world, I am very naive and uninformed though I tried to educate myself on this specific procedure but I partially believe she may have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge. The entire process has been a complete upset and it's such a shame because the ladies were so nice while being in their presence but there was a huge lack of concern/care once I left the office (both times) and the reality of the results set in. I would text picture updates and ask questions about my healing phase and never got responses back, I called the business and also tried contacting her via Instagram where we originally met/talked. Nothing. She would actively post stories on her account but couldn't take the time to respond to a worried client.... since I was not getting any replies from my own artist, I went to a handful of others in the area with my questions regarding my results and they have all claimed that instead of microblading, Miriam looked to have attempted a tint & shade or powderbrow instead which is very frustrating for me because I showed her countless Before and After photos of women with thin eyebrows like mine and the look I wanted.. needless to say that's not what I got in return. I truly feel like I was robbed of my money and on top of that, I still decided to OVERtip her each session for her time even though her and I both knew I would leave unsatisfied and uneasy about things. At the end of the day, I'm MORE disappointed with the lack of compassion and attentiveness from my artist than I am the actual results.... and that's saying ALOT seeing how they turned out. Looking back on the situation I 100% believe it was all about the money and not having pride in her work and wanting to make things right. It took a lot of time, courage, trust and budgeting for me to finally take the steps to do this procedure and my heart is completely broken about how everything played out. I would also like to add that I know this ink is different than regular tattoos but I am tatted up and never had this issue with ink being pushed out, as she claimed happened. Also, I feel like she always danced around the issue and gave me the run around instead of being honest about my situation until everything was said/done and paid for. I naturally have dry skin and refrained from any type of excersing for 2 weeks after each session to assure I did not irritate or disrupt the healing process... in retrospect I just wish I would've put that money to better use. $700 down the drain. The result speaks for itself. Lesson learned

I was seated immediately and they started my pedicure. They are sanitary- the bowls are lined and they wear gloves. They either speak English or they don't but there's always at least one English speaking person in the salon. I have not noticed them talking across the room in their language which tends to make me uncomfortable. I love the results and would recommend this salon.

We did the $30 plan asked for a gel polish and acrylic toenail the fake one. Yeah, my daughter had to ask for a rep polish twice. The toenails are not the same size. The second man came and shaved it down, but cut my toe put some alcohol on it. Informed him that it was burning he couldn't speak English or understand it. None of the three men that did our feet. Why pay for something that is improperly done. I would not recommend this location because they do not understand English or comprehend very dissatisfying and very disappointed. My foot is still somewhat burning $122 wasted on BS. As you can see in the photos, one toe is longer than the other one toe is lopsided so very disappointed.

It's so important such that I had put off getting my brows threaded (something I used to do ~monthly) since moving here many months ago. Anything less than perfect ratings was not a ringing endorsement for me, so I kept toughing it out until I found myself back in California. Unfortunately, they had grown a bit out of control and I redid my research out of desperation. Not sure why it didn't pop up for me before, but Glow Studio was a diamond in the rough. It had perfect reviews and they seemed like they knew what they were doing. I can, in fact, now confirm that Emily is an absolute goddess and my brows are saved. I got my brows and upper lip waxed for $35, which is pretty standard pricing. The studio is super cute and clean, and it was such a well-cultivated space that I felt relaxed just being there. The process was seamless, and I felt comfortable with Emily doing what she felt was best for my brows. They came out perfectly -- there was clearly cleaning that was done, they're not thin, and the length was maintained. The waxing process took 10-15 minutes and was not painful. I feel the need to talk about Emily, too. First off, she's got the best vibes and is so easy to talk to. She truly knows what she's doing and has your best interest at heart (she will not let you ruin your brows over some ephemeral trend, girlfriend). She thoroughly walks you through the process and explains the whys of things to you (e.g. why you need to avoid retinol and AHAs leading up to a wax sesh). She is so knowledgeable and confident that it's impossible to not trust her. She's so careful and good at what she does, and I can't imagine going anywhere else in this city. I booked online a few days in advance, and it was a straightforward process. You put in a request for when you'd like to come in and then it gets confirmed. Emily personally texted me the morning of with clear instructions on how to get there and was accommodating to me running a few minutes late. There are plenty of other services available, and I'm beyond excited to come back for a facial and more. Cannot recommend Glow Studio enough; am super grateful to Emily for making my entire day, honestly.

Today was my second time visiting. The first time I went I got a lash lift and today I got a facial and another lash lift (which usually lasts 1month and a half for me). Emily is really friendly and attentive to your needs. She was nice enough to give me cleanser and sunscreen samples. My face is feeling softer and moisturized than ever and I will definitely, definitely go back. The only downside is the studio itself is pretty hard to navigate/enter. Make sure to literally use the other door--left door. I kinda struggled and thought there was another entrace and I felt like an idiot. Use the key pad thingy to let them open the door and glow studios is on the third floor.
