I went in around 11-12ish on 10/14/26 to get a gel manicure and I specifically chose #5 in the cat eye book with the swirl on it. But apparently you have to specify that you want french cat eye when it's clearly shown in this particular book that it's not just the color but a cat eye color with the swirl! I've never had to say I want a swirl because the nail tech just does it with cat eye. My nail tech was terrible and rude! She wouldn't give me her name when I asked and I told her that I would just let Katherine know ( I meant to say Christina) about her terrible customer service! She was passively aggressive with going back and forth with me about the color and how I should have said French and not just pointing and saying #5. She kept tapping at my fingers and the light machine and never saying a word but in a rude manner. She kept drilling my nail beds and sat on the same spot after I kept moving it back because it was burning and hurting because they were already thin! Also, using a high speed knowing I'm pulling back and saying "oh" on purpose! Then she doesn't even soak my nails she dips my fingers quickly in the water and takes them out and proceeds to do a half ass job at removing the dead skin around my nails. Fast forward: When she had to actually do the cat eye swirl after I asked if she was going to do it. She kept arguing with me in a passive aggressive tone about it! I wish I could have recorded how she was low key upset and used the magnet in an upset manner! Then she argued about applying the base coat not all the way to the cuticle but how she stopped in the middle and said that's how she does it! Just a terrible and rude little girl! Unfortunately, I had one of those experiences where you voiced and showed photos of what you have in mind, only to leave the place holding back tears because the end result didn't deliver. If you want a mediocre cut and ok color while paying normal the same as other places, by all means. I think her name is Jasmine and was so excited they booked me in the same day. She's nice by not someone I would ever return to. I already had an asymmetrical bob cut which I wanted a refresh on but clearly this wasn't her specialty. I've had bob cuts now for two years and other stylists use a tool to define and sharpen the edges but she didn't do that, therefore it looks like a cheap cut that makes me look like a teenager. I also requested partial highlights to be on the darker tone. I mentioned I didn't like caramel or light brown colors but more so of dark brown with chocolate tones. The color, for me, wasn't that at all and this is the part where I left there internally crying. I did express the cut looks nothing like the photos I showed her. And while she tried to use toner and a straightener to improve the look because she saw I was deeply unsatisfied, I'm going to have to go elsewhere to get it color corrected and the cut perfected. I entered expecting to leave feeling excited and instead left with a gutted feeling of regret for trusting a new place. I hate looking in the mirror and left with high hopes from the photos shared but mine didn't turn out that at all.
