On October 17th, I ordered a Too Faced Palette, fake eye lashes, and a handful of deluxe samples from Sephora with two day shipping. It is November 5th and THREE ORDERS LATER, I still have not received a single item.
Unfortunately for me, in the New York City area, Sephora chooses to use LaserShip as their only method of shipping. As such, I will no longer be shopping online from Sephora as long as I live in the city, along with any other provider who uses LaserShip. Why you might ask? Well...
Order 1 -
1. Ordered Oct 17th, label created and item originally scanned in NJ October 18th, awesome!
2. October 19th- 2:40 AM, arrived at LaserShip final servicing facility -- Maspeth, great, it's on track for a 2 day arrival.
3. October 19th, 8:06 AM, Arrived at LaserShip Facility -- Jamaica, NY????
4. October 19th, 8:07 AM, Your package was missorted to incorrect delivery facility :(
5. October 19th, 11:54 AM Arrived at LaserShip Facility -- Jamaica, NY Isn't it already there???
6. October 19th, 11:55 AM Your package was missorted to incorrect delivery facility....lol I know you already told me.
No further updates. I submitted three help request forms (one on 10/22, two morning of 10/23) before finally receiving an answer later that morning on 10/23: "Your package was missorted. It will be delivered in 2 business days." Uhmmmm but it's been 4 business days since it was last "missorted" sooo shouldn't it be here? Obviously, it's "lost." On 10/25, I received official confirmation that LaserShip "could not confirm control of my package" and was marking it as lost.
Order 2 -
Thankfully Sephora was very understanding and reordered my products for me on 10/24, when I pointed out it was 5 days past the expected delivery date and appeared to be lost. I was hopeful this was just a one off poor delivery experience. LOLNOPE.
Next experience is as follows:
1. October 25th - LaserShip Origin Scan - NJ, 4:45 PM. Cool, again, on track for 2 day delivery.....
2. October 26th, Maspeth, NY 1:48 AM - Arrived at LaserShip Final Servicing Facility...okay....still hopeful at this point.
3. October 26th, 9:33 AM - Arrived at LaserShip Facility, Jamaica, NY. UHOH, this is feeling all too familiar...but still hopeful it will be delivered on this day, in accordance with the 2 day delivery promise.
4.October 27th, 12:01 AM - Label Created, tracking details will be available once the package arrives at the LaserShip Facility.....UM WHAT? It has a label....from the shipper.....it was literally scanned 2 days ago.....why are you creating a new label? (This will be important later)
5. October 28th, 4:06 PM, Maspeth NY: Arrived at LaserShip Final Servicing Facility. Again?
6. October 28th, 11:17 PM, Maspeth NY: Arrived at LaserShip Final Servicing Facility. AGAIN again? This is now the 4th "final" arrival.
7. October 29th, 8:06 AM, Maspeth NY: Loaded onto vehicle.
8. October 29th 8:07 Maspeth, NY: Out for delivery. Finally!
9. October 29th, 2:32 PM, New York, NY: Loaded onto vehicle....wait? What?
10. October 29th, 3:18 PM, New York, NY: Your package has been delivered. Omg finally. FIVE DAYS AFTER ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE. But wait.....
I go to my lobby, because I knew this delivery person was not about to walk up multiple flights of stairs to my apartment, and at first am concerned, because I don't see a Sephora branded box. Sephora ships in a branded box. I go through the packages just in case, and sure enough, in an unmarked box, with a weirdly reprinted label OVER where the box opens, is my package. I go to grab it and almost throw it, because it is SOO light. I am instantly skeptical. I know how much palettes weigh and sis, this ain't it. I take the package up to my apartment and notice again A. nonbranded box B. weird, clearly reprinted label, positioned in an incredibly odd way, over the packing tape. C. How incredibly light it is. I open the box and there's all this weird brown crumbled up paper, which doesn't seem like normal packing material. When I take out the paper...guess what....that's it. Well, not quite. My FREE SAMPLES are still in the box. But my Too Faced Palette and lashes are no where to be found. It's pretty clear the box was opened, my items taken, the box repackaged, the label REPRINTED (on October 27th, at 12:01 AM apparently, thanks for letting me know LaserShip!) and then rerouted for delivery.
Also I submitted a ticket on this order and never got a reply.
Order 3-
Sephora credits me back. I use credit on skincare, thinking this won't be stolen or "lost." Wrong.
11/5 - Item marked as delivered, it clearly is not.I have 2 other packages waiting for me and 9 packages waiting for my neighbors, so skeptical my one Sephora package is the only one missing, not the numerous amazon, DSW, Nordstrom packages sitting in my lobby for days. Submitted a report, not expecting to hear back.
Sephora again has credited me back and I am literally shipping my items to WA so I don't have to deal with LaserShip. read more
