"All of our discounts have been discontinued and are now in this subscription plan. $350 a month." I walked out. When I stood up to leave, the injector began to haggle. Her offer to "match my previous price" at the eleventh hour was a major insult. It proved that the initial price was arbitrary, a test of what I would tolerate. It made me deeply uncomfortable.
