Enchiladas Supremas, which is what I had & really enjoyed
April A.

Came here for dinner before the Yamaha Drums event at the Hutton. This is a nice Mexican restaurant with very good service & very delicious food! The ambiance is quiet & relaxing. Also seems to be a drummer's hangout, which I think is great. Many drummers were there for dinner, along with us!

The New Tamarindo Margarita delicious!

This is a go to any day of the week great food and drinks in a casual family friendly atmosphere! A staple that's been around forever!

Ate here on November 1, 2025. This is a classic, low-frills Mexican spot from a local Nashville chain--fast, friendly service and great food. It's not upscale, and it's not Cali-Mex or Tex-Mex. It's the dependable kind of place where "Speedy Gonzalez" is on the lunch menu (you know if you know). We ordered the Speedy Gonzalez for lunch and it was exactly as I remembered from a few years back. We've probably eaten here more than a dozen times and will certainly swing back by next time we're in Nashville.

The service here is great and quick ! The ambience inside feels like a typical Mexican restaurant which is a comforting vibe when eating Mexican food. Great location nearby Vanderbilt campus so it's popular among students. Nothing bad to say about food or prices. I had a ground beef quesadilla and it was filling, came with a variety of small sides, and delicious. My friend got a steak burrito and loved it. We also had the queso dip which we enjoyed even though it was pretty liquid-y. I've also heard amazing things about their margaritas! Overall: a solid Mexican food spot in Midtown with good food, prices, and vibes

Food was so good. Service was a little slow. Pricing is average and comparable to other restaurants.

Shrimp fajitas

Las Palmas is a solid Mexican spot with well seasoned food. As normal, they bring out chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and warm and the salsa had good spice. We had the guacamole dip (not the fresh made) and it needed a little salt but that's just a slight preference for me. We had a Las Palmas mezcalita flight that had prickly pear and passionfruit flavored drinks. For food we had the shrimp fajitas and tacos al carbon (both pictured) I wasn't a fan of the rice at all, but the steak in the tacos were very tasty!

This five star rating is solely based on the margaritas: They should be the blueprint for all margaritas everywhere. Feeling classic? Lime, on the rocks, with salt. Feeling FUN & FRUITY?! The frozen tropical. I cannot think of a better environment to sip (or, if you're me, gulp) down a marg with the girlies. Tell them Lily sent you! Actually don't, not yet. I've only been once. Maybe in like, 2025, once I've established my reputation as a regular, you can tell them Lily sent you.

Nice fajita lunch portion size and great flavor. Comes with sour cream and guacamole. Asked to substitute another portion of guacamole for the sour cream. I was told there would be an extra charge. I declined.

Drove down from Southern Illinois and stopped here. The food was delicious! Seasoning/spice was perfect and the margarita was so good!

We ate here with my father in law. Staff was great and very patient with us since we never been here before. The food was amazing and everything we could have asked for. The environment of this place was pretty nice also. We will definitely come back!!!

DRINKS: The all-you-can-drink option adds $$ (I think $20-25/person), so it isn't cheap... but is worthwhile if your group loves Mimosa's, Vodka's, Bloody Mary's and fresh Fruit Juices. To their credit, Federales' service staff POURS THE DRINKS CONSTANTLY lol. They brought out bottle after bottle, esp for the Mimosa's. We enjoyed it and felt this was part of the experience there - chill out, sink into the vibe, enjoy live music and loosen up while sitting in a modern open-air concept with everyone around smiling and feeling good ... In conclusion, this rivals Adele's for my favorite Nashville brunch spot. The two have very different vibes, and I highly recommend checking out Federales!

Everything was a hit - all of the plates went back empty except for the broccolini, and that was our fault for ordering a vegetable on accident, lol. All that to say that the bar and the service are not even the stars of the show here, it's definitely the food. Tacos are excellent (and thank you for the choice of corn tortillas), meats are flavorful, the drink choices hit the spot, and the service and laid-back ambiance are spot-on. (A big shout out to the more obscure classic rock and blues that they play.) The salsa bar provides a nice variety of flavors to add to the meal. The only problem? They don't have a location closer to West Nashville. Alas.

Little Rey - Nashville, Tennessee…read more Overall Rating: 4.6 Little Rey in Nashville delivers a casual, approachable take on the taqueria experience, with some impressive flavors, a few noticeable misses, and a welcoming atmosphere. During my visit, I ordered the #1 Chicken al Carbón and #3 Steak al Carbón, both prepared Costra Style, along with Cilantro Lime Rice, a small Chile con Queso with chips, and a small Soft Serve Ice Cream topped with Chocolate Syrup. #1 Chicken al Carbón - 3.2/5 The chicken was well-seasoned and flavorful, but unfortunately, the texture didn't quite deliver. The meat was noticeably dry and slightly tough, taking away from what otherwise could have been an excellent taco. The Costra Style preparation added a nice dimension, but the chicken itself needed a little more attention. #3 Steak al Carbón - 4.6/5 The steak was the stronger of the two tacos, delivering excellent flavor and a satisfying overall experience. However, both tacos would have benefited from a more generous portion of fresh onions and cilantro. Another noticeable omission was the lack of lime wedges. That fresh squeeze of lime is a simple but important finishing touch that helps bring together the flavors of a great taco. Cilantro Lime Rice - 4.9/5 One of the highlights of the meal. The rice was flavorful, with an enjoyable texture and a well-balanced combination of cilantro and lime. A simple side dish executed exceptionally well. Chile con Queso - 4.9/5 Another standout. The queso delivered excellent flavor and a satisfying texture. Rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best parts of the meal. Tortilla Chips - 2/5 Unfortunately, the chips were the biggest disappointment. They tasted stale, lacked any noticeable salt, and were excessively greasy. Considering how good the queso was, the poor quality of the chips was particularly disappointing. Fresh, properly seasoned chips would have made a significant difference. Soft Serve Ice Cream with Chocolate Syrup - 5/5 An excellent way to finish the meal. The soft serve was sweet, creamy, and delicious on its own, but the chocolate syrup was the real game changer. Sometimes the simplest desserts are the most satisfying, and this one certainly delivered. Service & Atmosphere Service was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. The interior dining space reminded me quite a bit of Chipotle, with a clean, functional, fast-casual layout. While perfectly comfortable, it didn't offer much in the way of a distinctive taqueria atmosphere. The real ambiance comes from the patio at the front of the restaurant. That outdoor space captures the relaxed, inviting feel of a neighborhood taqueria and gives Little Rey much of its personality. Final Thoughts - 4.7/5 Little Rey has a lot going for it, particularly its bold flavors, excellent sides, friendly staff, and inviting patio. The steak taco, cilantro lime rice, queso, and soft serve were all enjoyable, but the dry chicken, disappointing chips, limited taco garnishes, and missing lime wedges kept the overall experience from reaching its full potential. Would I return? Absolutely. There is enough here to warrant another visit, and with a little more attention to consistency and the small details, Little Rey could deliver an even better dining experience. Overall: 4.8 out of 5 -- Good food, great potential, and a few opportunities for improvement.
