Situated on the highway to Ajijic, my partner, his family, our friends and I stopped at this establishment for lunch after horse back riding. The first impressions at Las Palmas were very good upon entering this informal open air setting with wooden picnic style tables. Our server was Andres. We started out as an appetizer by sharing a sizable bowl of freshly made guacamole with chips. For our entree, we have ordered Arrachera (skirt steak) tacos, Chorizo (sausage) tacos, Las Palmas Fries consisting of French Fries, Melted Cheddar, Bacon And Philadelphia Dip, Surf N' Turf Special Burrito (Flour Burrito with Shrimps, Arrachera Vegetables and Mozzarella Cheese), Fried Calamari, Personal Thousand Queso with mixed cheeses and pieces of pecan Pizza, and Personal 3 Ingredients Pizza. The pizza were made in a clay oven and super fresh. However, the crust was as thin as a Carr water cracker. The service was good and the price reasonable. All in all, a good place to grab some good food and a drink with nothing fancy but nothing missing which we can recommend.

This is a real find. Next to ChulaVista Norte Condos. We've enjoyed everything we've tried, tacos, burritos, chips & guacamole, and the pizzas are excellent!. Highly recommend, and the are #WFPB (whole food plant based) & vegetarian options. The cerveza is VERY cold. There is and extensive selection of food and beer. Enjoy !

This place is walking distance from our neighborhood. This was my very first impression of mexican food and let me tell you I was VERY impressed. I know Pennsylvania especially isn't known for mexican food besides mexican/american chain fast food, but my expectations were beyond exceeded. Even the vegan ones because I know Mexico is known for tacos carne. The servers were so nice and the environment is beautiful. The prices were very good as are most restaurant in Mexico. Needless to say we will be back. The sangria was good, but a margarita is a must. My first time trying a Michelada, but I don't recommend unless you like Bloody Mary's. SO good!

It was approaching 9 pm, dining choices were becoming limited and we just wanted a nosh before turning in for the evening. I am so glad we did AND I am so glad local people brought me in because I probably never would have eaten what we did. First, my hosts ordered me a rice and cinnamon drink that came in goblets that weighed a ton, held a lot and made it seem so festive. Absolutely delicious. They went on to order from the side without photos and a number of handwritten notes, pay attention to those- there's a bargain take home offering of what we had and believe me, I will be going back and bringing it home. What? What are you bringing home you ask? Slices of a gyro like meat whose origins I have no idea what it is besides delicious, roasted in the style of a gyro on a 4" soft corn tortilla with a slice of pineapple. ( I cringed too....don't let that disuade you)... we ordered the plate of 10. It comes with a plate of finely diced onion and a generous mound of chiffonade of cilantro. There's a selection of sauces, a creamy avocado, a smoky chipotle and a fiery one that tickles the palette to top your taco. We also got the Bisteck Gringa Completa. What it lacks in finesse it more than makes up for in warm and welcoming service, tasty food, late hours and super cheap for those nights out.

There are tons of different options for seating - we picked a table in the back with an umbrella for shade near a water feature. The many beautiful peacocks roam around and they are very tame. They come right up to your table looking for food. They are not scary. Service was attentive (English and Spanish). I had drinks only. One of my friends had the chicken enchiladas which she said were good and the other had Hawaiian shrimp which looked and smelled amazing! They also have desserts and alcohol.

My chicken was dry and a bit tasteless. The other 2 members on my party also found their food to be lacking flavor. I was expecting this place to be better, but the best thing about it was the ambiance. Someone at our table made the mistake of giving a peacock a nibble of what was left on her plate, and we suddenly had a small swarm of peacocks that wouldn't leave us alone. Overall, neat place to check out if you are in the area, but not for the food.
