Luckily for us the entrance is well tucked away at the top of the shopping centre, and we only knew it was there after asking the security guard if there was anything else upstairs - sometimes being nosey pays off! This meant it was fairly full but not absolutely bursting like all the bars on the lower floors. There seemed to be people getting turned away near the door as there were no tables free but mum and I just walked straight past to the bar counter at the back - so sometimes not asking permission for stuff pays off too! The menu is sight to behold (it comes in a box) but we kept it simple, getting giant wine glasses of prosecco as they'd run out of flutes. We perched at the statement golden bar for a while then headed outside to the balcony area. There's lots of white sofas and tables to reserve around. Sipping on bubbles in the evening sunshine and enjoying the view over the Pendigo Lake, we felt like we were in a bar somewhere much more exotic than Brum! The prices match the classy setting so it's not somewhere you'd stay for long unless you have money to burn, but mum felt very treated and the posh loos definitely beat queuing at the arena ;)

When its busy it can be difficult to get past the entry to the place. Theres a mix of high level tables and stools and normal level tables. Theres also a few Sofa's around the place. There's a nice real fire at the rear of the bar however when the place gets busy it get unbearably hot, to the point we had someone standing propping the rear doors (to the smoking area) open to allow some cool air in. The usual selection of drinks on offer for a bar, thay had a small selection of pre-mixed cocktails available. Prices were ok I guess, £3.35 per pint of Carling (however I'm sure this varied depending who served you, at one point I was charged £3.15) They do food in the day but I have never sampled it, I'm told it is pretty good food though. Overall - there's nothing special about this place, its just another fairly bland chain pub.

The interior is light and modern and the restaurant area is welcoming. We were seated at our table speedily and the specials menu and normal food menu were given to us. There are plenty of options and after some deliberation I plumped for the Moroccan style cous cous, chicken skewers and salad with homemade Tzatziki sauce. My partner decided to have the chicken and leek pie with creamy mash. Our food arrived after about 20 minutes and I must say we were a bit disappointed. My chicken skewers were a bit dry so good job there was a sauce. Overall the food was average and the presentation poor. The plus points is that the staff were friendly and attentive, the decor light and modern, they have special offers during the week, and there is ample car parking it's just a shame that their food lets them down a bit. Must do better guys! And for a Sunday afternoon the restaurant wasn't that busy so you are guaranteed a seat.
