What went well -everything!…read more You're thinking of having tacos in San Diego, you have to visit this place. I know everyone in my party ordered different things, but I came for the seafood tacos. I ordered the El Gobernador and the biggest juiciest shrimps left me speechless. And the best part was the mango sauce they had at the salsa bar which had the best spice kick I've ever tasted. The place was a bit tight, but we were seated comfortably for a party of five. Don't come here too hungry. allot some time to find parking because as you know, parking in San Diego sucks. So while in the area this place is a try. As for me, I'll be going back for sure!

They were definitely better than I expected, coming from a heavily seafood dominated eatery. The came with a very good amount of crispy yet tender flavorful al pastor meat, topped with a creamy avocado sauce and the chopped red onions and cilantro. The tacos came properly wrapped in double corn tortillas. I do recommend them if you are not into eating something from the sea at this place. The fish taco was good, too. It was more than I expected, given that it came with a host of ingredients that I did not expect. For instance, there was a griddle cheese on the corn tortilla, not that there's anything wrong with that, semi pickled thinly sliced radishes and toasted black sesame seeds. They worked very well in the taco. The fish was well seasoned, but just a little over done. All in all, it was a good grilled fish taco. The gent at the counter had a good sense of humor and was friendly. They offer an adequate amount of inside seating and a good salsa bar. Parking can be tight, but there are more available at the parking structure.

El Viejon Seafood - El Viejon Taco, our favorite. There's sooo much stuff in it, be prepared to get messy. Worth it though!

You have to try this place!…read more It's one of my family's favorite seafood spots. I've had the pulpo tostada and taco multiple times and they're always amazing, super fresh and never overcooked. I usually get the macho sauce on the side so I can spice it up to my level lol. My family has also tried the tuna tostada, micheladas, chilaquiles, and even Dino nuggets for the kids, everything has been consistently great every time we go. The service is always on point, the ambiance is nice, and it's in a great central location. We usually stop by Wood Market afterward to grab a few things. Highly recommend! definitely a spot we'll keep coming back to. Also, shoutout to the Convoy location, it's just as good!

Even though we were a bit late for the breakfast menu, they still let us order the Smoked fish, Gobernador, and Pork Belly-quiles. I loved the flavors, and it had just the right amount of spice I prefer. I also had a Mango-rita that snuck up on me in a good way. We each tried all three plates, and all agreed they were sumptuous. Everyone running the restaurant was super friendly and accommodating to special diet needs as well. I'm glad we tried this establishment. It was quite busy that day, but there was still plenty of parking, and they had booths to sit and enjoy the experience. Portions were large - we all had leftovers to take home. I would love to come back and try more of the menu!
