My fiancé and I were engaged in August. I went to Orin's with a friend in June to look at a…read morespecific Mark Schneider piece that I had found online (Empyrean). I worked with Jennifer, who couldn't have been more pleasant and easy to work with. She seemed genuinely interested in finding the right ring as opposed to making a sale, and I did end up buying that particular ring. After proposing I wanted to look at a Tacori ring to complement the one that had been purchased, so we went to Artisans in Novi. The saleswoman there denigrated the ring, indicating that we'd paid too much. She then offered to "recreate" the jeweler's design for half the price. I explained that I wasn't interested in doing so, but that I did want to see the Tacori piece that I'd emailed about. The salesperson indicated that the price as I wanted it was 5.5k, doing so with a tone that made clear she didn't think we could afford it (we were casually dressed on a Saturday morning). I told her that we were going to go back to Orin's before making a final decision, as the Mark Schneider piece needed to be resized anyway. The salesperson at Artisans scoffed at the jewelry store, scoffed at the city and indicated that I would be back for sure. By this time my fiancé and mother, who was along for the ride, had had enough of the entire experience. I assured them that they'd receive a completely different level of customer service at Orin's and from Jennifer specifically. We continued to Northville and found the perfect ring, again without any attempt to make a sale. In fact, we decided to add a diamond to one of the rings and Jennifer suggested that I go with the smaller of the two options, as it would suit the ring better. In doing so, she suggested a diamond that was 600 dollars cheaper, but made clear to us what her priorities were (i.e., finding the right ring as opposed to making the most money). I don't often write reviews, but did so for both Artisans and Orin's. The experience at the former was not one that I appreciated, while the experience at the latter was one that I genuinely enjoyed. I would absolutely recommend Orin's to anyone looking for engagement/wedding jewelry. Ask for Jennifer.

Do not appreciate being lied to. Tried selling my absolutely stunning engagement diamond to them…read more(their words before they low balled me) and they offered me an insulting amount because "it would probably take a while to sell"....oh and the jewelry you already have isn't sitting around? No one came in the store the over an hour you were analyzing my stone. Be honest you have too much inventory.

I will start by saying My Fiancé loves her ring! I had collected a few pics from her Pinterest…read moreover the years and had a pretty specific idea of what she wanted. A close friend recommended Kevin, and I am very thankful he did. I called up Kevin and he instructed me to email him what I had along with a brief description of what we had spoken about over the phone. At this point, I was still working up the nerve to take the plunge. So, when Kevin promptly responded, promising he could deliver the perfect ring, I was not yet ready. It would be months before I showed up to pick out her diamond. Kevin never pushed for a sale. When I was ready, I went out and saw Kevin. He only had to show me 2 diamonds. I love my girl and I wanted her to love her ring. The ring they built delivered.

I rarely write reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others can make an…read moreinformed decision. I brought Diamond Castle my mother's vintage ring; an irreplaceable heirloom with deep sentimental value. I asked for two small stones to be replaced and the band resized. They accepted the job with confidence and never mentioned any concerns about working with a delicate vintage setting. Within just a few days of receiving the ring back, it fell apart completely. The center stone came loose, several prongs failed, and the setting collapsed. This was not due to age or wear. It was the direct result of poor workmanship. What makes this worse is that if Diamond Castle had simply said the work was beyond their capabilities, I would have absolutely accepted that professional judgment. I would have happily kept the ring safely in my jewelry box and treasured it as it was. Instead, they took on a job they clearly weren't equipped for, and now I don't even know if this precious piece can be salvaged. They did refund me for the work, but no refund can repair the damage done to something so personally meaningful. A reputable jeweler should be honest about their limitations especially when handling sentimental or vintage jewelry. I strongly caution anyone considering trusting Diamond Castle with important or irreplaceable pieces. Transparency, skill, and care matter and unfortunately, my experience showed a lack of all three.

I got married back in 2013 and our original jeweler moved to Cali. I am quite a loyal customer…read more Loyal to the point where I don't look at any other jeweler even when I desperately need a new one. I'm pretty ridiculous I know... But after kids enter the picture, I couldn't squeeze my fat finger into my wedding ring...for two solid years. I'm one of those moms who puts herself last on the totem pole of family priorities so stumbling across KB Jewelers was probably by destiny. haha. The universe was screaming that it was time and not to procrastinate any longer. The owner, Koko was phenomenal. He greets you with a smile and makes you feel comfortable right from the start. He's not pushy and really listens to what you are shopping for. He stays true to your search and ironically even when you are trying to save money, you find yourself coming back for additional jeweler needs. (I had my ring resized, bought a new tungsten band, put a new battery in my watch). KB Jewelers also goes above and beyond with communication (email/phone/in person) and will even deliver some of your pieces to you if needed. This business is one I will definitely recommend to my friends and wedding clients because of the wonderful attention to detail, quick service, fair prices and friendly staff. Oh and if you haven't been in downtown Northville before, no worries. The location is fantastic. The store front is a short skip away from two close parking lots. Give KB Jewelers a shot. You will not be disappointed.
