24 years ago my husband and I moved here from a small town where everyone knew you. You could break down beside the road and within 10 minutes someone would be stopping and helping. We had no family here and knew no one. One of the main things you dont think about is vehicle repair. We were in need of some minor repairs and found a little repair shop by accident. It was called Larry's Service Department. We found Larry to be honest, hard working, and wouldnt try to 'sell' un needed repairs. Well, its 24 years later and we are still using Larry's. He has retired, but he has raised a son to be exactly like him. My own son is grown, with a job and a car payment. Two weeks ago his transmission went out. We took the car to Larry's. We had not needed repairs in a couple of years, but Brandon remembered us by name. He called and quoted a price and was timely on the repair. Two weeks later my son's car just quit. He was driving on 169 and everything just shut down. He was able to pull to the side of the road, call a tow truck and towed it back to Brandon. By noon his car was ready, and he said there would be no charge. Without going into the detailed explanation he gave us, it was related to the replacement of the transmission. My point is, he could have told us it was anything and charged whatever, just to get a little more business. But he didnt, that is not the way they do business. There are a lot of repair shops that feel anything after the fact is a new job. Its refreshing to have that peace, knowing that you wont be over charged, and mainly they are people oriented. I am proud to recommend Larry's Service Department on Admiral and Garnett to anyone. read more
