From the moment you walk in, you are greeted like family and feel welcome. It is clear the owner has been there for quite some time, established regulars, and developed good relationships with them. He gave us great suggestions from the extensive choices. Bread was the best part, I loved it. My pastrami hit the spot and was melt in your mouth level but also not fatty or salty. The chicken parm was delicious and well 'seasoned' without being overly cheesy. The cheesesteak was not Philly quality but was tolerable. I was not crazy about the chicken in the chicken club but the sandwich with the bacon was a good concept. The chicken just tasted a little pasty to me and not like a 'real' chicken breast. But my friends loved it. It is a sandwich shop and sooooo ambiance was what it should have been. While it has seats to eat in, it really is more of an order and take out. The beach is right there and just a short walk away. There were many people coming in to pick up online or phone orders. When in the area, I will definitely return.

Larrys Giant subs is THAT. HUGE. Whenever I'm in this town i make sure to stop by Larrys I tried them last year and again, this month when i was in town. The subs are huge, great priced, and packed with flavor. They put alot of meat and toppings in their subs. It's definitely up there as one of my favorite sub places. The service was great, everyone was nice and i was greeted as soon as i entered. It definitely seemed like a neighborhood must have because it appeared staff new alot of frequent customers. I cant wait to come back and eat more delicious subs!

Staff very friendly and helpful! Loved everything on the walls and atmosphere. Subs were amazing. They have an extremely large menu, the Italian sub was my favorite. Tried the Chicago dog as well and not disappointed.

My biggest mistake was walking in and saying to owner, "That's a lot to choose from." As the words exited my mouth, I wished there was an imaginary rope I could use to pull those words back in. I could tell the owner had heard it 1,000 times. As a writer, I'm not a big fan of cliches. We bounced back fast though and he was friendly. He might have been able to tell that I was hoping for that imaginary rope. If we get really technical, we would probably need some kind of attachment on the hook to retrieve the words. About sandwiches and other food items... Sandwich was a 4.5. Cookie was Otis so always solid. Pickle was good, not amazing. I also came back to try a bagel but it's not a bagel place. Always go with the sandwich. It's probably a 4.4 overall but customer service is a big thing for me and they were friendly. Definitely a solid choice when looking for lunch in Ormond Beach.

Wow..what great Subs! My wife had the Italian and I had the Ultimate. The sandwiches were great when they were delivered. But the surprise came the next day for lunch eating the other half on the beach. Was so delicious we recommend this place

World's most expensive non roast beef sandwich!!

In the current world of ridiculous inflation, there are price hikes, but this is straight up greed and highway robbery. Almost $12 for a basic 8" roast beef sandwich?? And on top of it, the sandwich is 85% bread!!! There was barely any roast beef and one slice of cheese per side. Subway now has competition for the lamest sandwiches. This is not a sandwich by any means, let alone $12 from a grungy shop.

You really can't beat a well built sandwich, and Larry's is it. We've had the Killer, the meatball and grilled chicken subs. All were fantastic and made perfectly. If you want a sandwich you can pack for a day at the beach, get Larry's. And just go for the large! It's worth it.

Called to order a carry out. Had to call back as the girl layed the phone down, and forgot about me. I was told 35 minutes until my order would be ready. Showed up 35 minutes later, only to wait for 15 minutes. Got home to discover order was incorrect, and steak was dry, and tough. This place used to be pretty good. I suspect it is under new management as none of the faces looked familiar. Unorganized, inept, and rude. If you want a good sub, good service, and nice people, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

I ordered pizza from the wrong place, so we ended up just going to Larry's and all I have to say is BEST MISTAKE EVER!!! I got the chicken philly- good, REAL chicken, cheese, FRESH mushrooms. It really doesn't get any better. My boyfriend is pretty picky and he is PRAISING this place! We will be back before the end of our vacation! read more

I happen to be driving by on vacation, and saw this place..... did a quick look up on Yelp, and thought I would give it a try. Glad I did..... Friendly, patient staff.... wasn't quite sure what I wanted. Ended up getting the turkey club. and it was GOOD! Very tasty. I made the mistake of waiting about 15 minutes before I started to eat it. It got a little moist, but that was my fault. It was still VERY GOOD! Will have to stop and try some of the other items..... I think I will try the Cuban. read more

Stopped in for the first time and was not disappointed. Perused the menu which is large, asked questions and got answers. Finally decided to try the Chicago roast beef with au jus. Got home and devoured the entire sandwich standing in the kitchen. I will definitely be back and work my way through the large selection. read more

This is the only place I go to get sandwiches for the beach. The selection is outstanding and the quality of the foods equally outstanding. Your sandwiches are "crafted" with care and you can customize what you order. The deli counter is clean and the staff super friendly and efficient. This place is also SUPER honest - several years ago I left my wallet there by accident and the owner tracked me down and phoned me advising they found it! Now that's what I call service which keeps me coming back each time I'm down here on vacation. read more

My wife and I ate lunch here while visiting family in Ormond Beach. She had the chicken club and I had the New York pastrami. Both subs were large, generous portions and tasted delicious. Larry's is a great value for a local restaurant. It is very casual and perfect for hungry beach goers after a day of swimming. read more

I was on the search for a BLT decided to come here. OMG!! I got a large and it is awesome. Super loaded with bacon and lettuce and onions. I skip the tomato. Their mayo is fresh and their rolls are out of this world. Soft and crispy at the same time. I've also had their egg salad. So many choices I would definitely recommend this place read more

Stopped in here on a Sunday morning on our way back to Miami after evacuating for Hurricane Irma. Told the young lady that we wanted a sub that would be good to eat while driving. She had the guy make us an Italian and dressed it the way she thought would be best for our needs. No mushy or drippy sub. Cut it into quarters. It was by far the best sub we've had in many years. Probably would eat more subs if they were in our neighborhood. Keep up the great job, Larry's. Can't remember the young lady's name but she is an asset to this establishment. read more

Came in at 8:20 and they didn't have any soups and then when we went to order they said we'd have to take it to go because they were about to close. About to close as in 40 minutes...The countertop was nasty and sticky. Don't waste your time at this place. read more

Went there on a hunch the smell drew me in from the parking lot. The selection of hot and cold subs is huge. The classics from a ny deli are all there. I ordered a meatball sandwich and I wasn't disappointed the bread was fresh and warm and the meats were fresh and cut to order. Very nice read more

Wanted to try a new place while on vacation here in Daytona! I couldn't have picked a better place! I ordered the Pizza Sub and the Steak n Cheese and a side order of potato salad, and macaroni salad! A new girl was working the register and we ended up with two orders of potato salad but it was still great because the potato salad was amazing! This was a giant sandwich freshly prepared while I waited, really good fresh rye bread, spicy mustard, swiss cheese and a lot of hot from the grill pastrami (deli sliced but I knew that coming in). I got here a few minutes after they opened so there was no line and the woman working the register was so friendly and accommodating, the older gentleman I presume is George was busy tending to the pizzas and sandwich orders that were coming in. I planned to eat this outside at one of the older tables and chairs which I found pretty cool so told her that and she had the sandwich put in a container and didn't bag it but ensured I had plenty of napkins. The sandwich was $17.04 with tax so there went my twenty dollar bill with the tip. Well that seemed a little expensive to me until I opened it up once I grabbed a seat in the shade and found it was easily enough for two or one with half to take home. There are a number of reasons I give them 4 stars but honestly the sandwich was at best a three, it was a little chewy with maybe a little too much time on the grill. I'm happy I was able to experience this place and I'm planning to return to experience a few slices of pizza (two slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza and a can drink for $8.00) sounds more than reasonable to me...
