I choose NBC over other places because I can get a simple plain cake reasonably priced and a good portion size. Other locations will charge $3-5 bucks for just a single cupcake or $8-10 bucks for a single slice of cake (if not more). I've tried those too. Many have a beautiful presentation but are not good. But for some reason people do not bake simple anymore. They think every dessert has to have sprinkles or some sort of decor. I pull it off. I don't like decorated treats nor do I eat edible play dough i.e. fondant. It's ok to have those types of desserts but there also needs to be a variety for us simple folks.
