Last Tuesday we both had previous commitments so we got mom a ride with Easy Rider. The driver was on time and helped mom in and out if the car. For the return trip mom got a little confused about who to call and ended up calling me. I called Easy Rider and Christine assured me that a driver was in the area and would get mom in a few minutes. Which he did. Christine also called my mother to assure her the driver was on the way, and sent me a follow up text message. Thanks to Easy Rider I don't need to worry about mom's transportation if my sister and I are unavailable. For this reason alone, their service is priceless!

Will the ride never showed up. I spoke with easy rides directly and whoever answered the phone kept arguing with me that the driver was here and he was not. I have cameras in my drive my garage door was open and I was in the kitchen. The whole time in the front window looks at the driveway. The gentleman on the phone then said that the driver got out and knocked on the door. Well that's not true because I have three big dogs and they would've been working. Please do not use the service. They are so unreliable.

Discount Taxi's customer service is OUTSTANDING!…read more After learning my flight from TYS would be delayed 6 hours and my new arrival in PIE would be at 12:30 am, I was very concerned the airport car rental office would be closed and my reserved car would not be available. Early that day I contacted Discount Taxi via their site and I quickly received a response. The driver assured me that if the rental office were closed, he would provide transportation from St Pete to Siesta Key (64 miles south). Not only did the driver stay in touch with me during the day, he was at the airport just in case I needed a ride at 1am...far beyond the call of duty. My car rental office was open resulting in not needing to use this taxi service, however, I highly recommend this company to anyone in the St Pete area and I would definitely use them in the future. Knowing I had transportation lined up gave me peace of mind traveling ....a HUGE thank you to Albert! Well Done!

The dispatcher informed me that the cab had come and I wasn't there, and I said, "If that was true, the cab was invisible." I asked a second time for a pickup. At 5:45 I called a third time for the cab that never came, and was informed that "I" had canceled the pickup. I did not. I complained about the absence of service on Google, and Discount Taxi replied that I am mentally ill. I stood in front of my house for more than an hour for nothing but abuse! The next morning, I called Independent Taxi. They arrived 12 minutes later. I am not mentally ill. I am angry and disgusted. Discount Taxi is worth exactly what I paid that afternoon: nothing.

Fast response when seeking a quote....almost immediate reply to my inquiry. Mike knew exactly what ride was needed and price was reasonable. Great job in planning ahead the routes and parking as well. Mike stayed while we were in the concert and advised would be of service to us anytime. Escalade was clean and he even had bottled waters for us which worked out great after the concert when we were all tired, hot, and thirsty. It's where all the buses end their shift or take their breaks, I guess, because there can be four or five buses there at a time. It's nice not having to wait too long. Where I get picked up from work at, I do have to wait a little longer, but maybe I'm just spoiled with my home stop, haha. I like that I can text the shortcode to find out exactly when my bus will arrive. It's usually accurate. The only times I've seen it be a bit off is where there are events going on in Downtown St. Petersburg, but what can you do about that? The buses themselves are nice. Some are being revamped and have new seats. The other buses are still a bit old, but I think they're trying to get all the buses updated as quickly as possible. All of the buses have free wifi, which is pretty nice for those long rides. The buses run from like 5:30am to 10:30pm. You can't get better than that. The price per ride is $2.50, I believe, but if you're a local student you ride for free. Ultimately, even if I had a car, I feel like I'd still use PSTA. It's convenient, and a very simple method of transportation.
