This is the way to run a cab company. You can easily reserve a ride from their webpage. You must use the town car service from Tampa Intl, but can save money by having the regular taxi take you to the airport. Friendly drivers, clean cars, speedy service, and mobile reservations. This is how you run a modern cab company! read more

They allow you to book ahead of time for a ride to the airport, and their prices are equivalent to Uber and Lyft, in some cases less. And they are at your door when they say they're going to be. Their cab is clean, they are nice and friendly and they always put your luggage in the back. Highly recommend . read more

Bats gave me a confirmed pickup time then never came. Thirty minutes later another taxi company called to say they were on the way to pick me up but I had canceled as I was already on my way to the airport with lyft. Bats is totally unreliable. Don't trust their confirmed rides as they were a no show for me. read more

Wish i could give a zero. The man that goes by "James" or at least that's the names he gave me was a pig and as soon as I made it clear I wasn't sleeping with him then he had an immediate attitude and rude as could be. Made me fell attacked and inadequate and feel disgusting and weak and scared and like he was about to pull down an alley way and rape me. I had to keep telling him to stop so I could get out on a main road. He played sweet and innocent when I got in but definitely took advantage that I didn't know exactly where I was since I'm not from here. The worst experience I've ever had in a cab and tipped good so he wouldn't be upset and attack me on my dark road. It was disgusting how much his tone changed from picking me up from work to dropping me off. Ill never call bats again. read more

On time for pickup. Fair pricing. Would use again. Great service to airport from the beach area

I placed a call to BATS for a ride. 30 minutes later I called to inquire about the ETA. The dispatcher, when told my name & location, laughed with a "a cab has been dispatched... it's about 3 minutes away. Now it's 47 minutes since the request, I call again. I'm told the usual wait is 45 minutes to an hour... now I'm told the cab is about a minute away. After a few more minutes, a cab pulls in, but it's not "BATS" it has a different name & phone number. In another minute or so, I get a call "your cab is on site." So, I get in this cab and the driver dismisses questions about how, or if the companies are the same... If you are in need of a ride, try a different cab service. read more

We scheduled our taxi for 4:30am and they were right on time and waiting for us at the front door of our hotel! This was the first time we used their services and it definitely won't be the last as they were amazing! From North Redington Beach to Tampa International Airport it was a flat rate of $54 and the baby seat did not cost any extra! Our driver was also very friendly and informative during the drive! read more

It seems like they have a girl answering the calls on her personal phone because when I called she asked me where I need to go I said I need to get a taxi home then she asked me my home address which I gave to her then she told me about 20 to 30 minutes I asked her how when she didn't even know where I need to be picked up from yet she said I just asked you where you need to be picked up from I said no you asked me where I live when I said I need to go home she promptly hung up on me and then when I called the number back it said I'm sorry your call cannot be completed at this time as if she had blocked it read more

I'm spending the holidays in Florida and had not rented a car. I called Bats Taxis twice. The person who takes the call was always very helpful and courteous. Both of my drivers arrived in a timely manner in clean cars. Their prices are more than competitive with other ride share services. I highly recommend Bats because they deliver ! read more

Used this taxi service for three round trip fares to Tropicana Field, as they are almost directly across from the hotel I was staying at. Pick ups were on time. The metered fare ranged from $25 to $33 depending on the route. The local route was cheaper because of the shorter distance, the highway route more expensive because it's a mile and a half longer, and really wasn't that much quicker. Insist on the local route if you want to save a couple of bucks. read more

We use this service for transportation to and from the airport when we visit FL--have for years. Always reliable and the drivers are, more times than not, early. Friendly & polite staff. The negative about our recent experience was the town car that picked us up wreaked of urine. Not faintly either--We were holding our breath the whole way and it was a 40 minute ride. We feel this car should have been taken out of use until it was properly cleaned and deodorized. Consider the comfort of your passengers. read more

I saw BATS recommended on trip advisor and I'm so glad I did. They've been very accommodating with vans large enough for our group of 5 hauling a beach wagon, chairs and other supplies when visiting other area beaches. More so than Uber, which proved hard to find when it came to the XL vehicles. Very friendly drivers and you can track their location. Their rates are also very competitive! read more

Their driver arrived and was passed out in the front seat. Knocked on window and no response. It is 2:30 am but if he cannot drive this late he should not be driving. Sleep driving is just as dangerous as drunk driving read more

The first call went wrong. I tried to give the dispatch person (Judy) the location and the nearest landmark as a tourist, that wasn't good enough for her. She hung up on me. I had my friend call back to try again. We were told about 30 minutes. It was much less. And our driver was amazing! He was friendly, funny and very personable! Sorry I forgot his name! This driver changed my initial opinion. read more

On time pick up! Great driver! Glad we reserved in advance. We're a little nervous since traffic to the airport can be an issue but it was a no-sweat morning. read more

Very frustrating and disappointing. Booked a 5:45 am ride to the airport online over a week ahead of time. When the taxi didn't show up, I called and was told the driver had an airport drop-off and was over 30 minutes away. No apology. Luckily my sister woke up to take me, but I would have missed my flight if I'd relied on BATS. read more

Called for a ride to the airport and was told a driver would be there in 15 minutes. After 25 minutes I called repeatedly and there was no answer. Ended up finding another mode of transportation after waiting for 40 minutes and missed my flight. Would NOT recommend. read more

Gotta love a taxi service that has the acronym "BATS" and the logo has a little bat on it. The car was clean, came exactly when we asked for it and our driver was very chatty and helpful. He even waited for us after we arrived at (what we thought) was our destination, and thank goodness he did, since we had the address wrong and the actual place was another 1/2 mile further down the road! I dont think he was even going to charge us for that extra time either, but we paid him anyway. Cool company! read more

I watched one of your drivers drive through the parking lot of Oakhurst Vets in Seminole this morning. This is at the corner of Park Blvd and Oakhurst Road. Your driver did this to avoid the traffic light at the intersection. The owners of Oakhurst have a very prominent sign telling drivers to not do this. This behavior by your driver is unsafe and discourteous. read more

I recently took a taxi to the airport from Tierra Verde. I have never had such a great experience in a taxi. The driver was so sweet, and so so friendly. I wish I remembered his name!!! Called the dispatcher on May 12,2019 asked to be pick up, told her that we will be waiting in front of Wendy's at the table with red umbrella and gave her the address, she said ok be there in 4 mins and hung up. We waited about 10 minutes, called back got the different dispatcher, he was so rude, told me that I did not give them enough info, only the address I repeated to tell him the same thing I told the first dispatcher, he cut me off would not let me finish and said this to me " never mind what you said just hang up the phone , the driver # 38 is looking for you you did not say that it is at Wendy's..." I have never in my life encounter the rudeness of the second dispatcher and the no brain of the first one. One star is for the driver Eddy, he would get more stars and more tips if he did not stick by those two. I will be waiting for the response of the owners. read more

Driver was nice. Yet... I had to use my own GPS to help him find my friend's house. And OMG... The taxi REEKED of cigarettes. As a non-smoker, it was repulsive & hard to breathe. Won't use them again, unfortunately. read more

He greeted us at baggage claim. Our flight was early but he was there before us. Big nice clean car. He gladly lifted the 3rd row to better accommodate two bulky car seats. It was nice having a local give us tips on good restaurants where the locals go vs tourist traps. He pointed out places all along the way it was a nice way to start our vacation! read more

I arranged service from downtown St Pete to Tampa international and while the driver was on time , the vehicle had a very strong cigarette smoke odor. It was gross ( I could handle a faint odor, but this was over the top). Then, on my return to Tampa international, I arranged a ride home with a town car. With this service the driver is suppose to meet you in the baggage area. No one showed and when I called the dispatcher I was told the driver had problems and would be late. I told the dispatcher to cancel the service and that I would arrange an alternative. Later I received a text from the driver scolding me for not waiting and accusing me of " wasting his gas", I won't use BATS in the future. read more

BATS Taxi used to be a good service, but they have really gone downhill. The last several times we have ordered a taxi from BATS it has been over an hour before they arrived. I don't know whether they don't have enough drivers or a big enough fleet, or poor management. Regardless, they have received our last call. read more

We are visiting St Pete Beach for our nieces wedding. We did not want to have to drive to Sunken Gardens and not be able to have a drink. We had been told that taxi service in St.Pete was sparse and poorly run. We decided to give it a try any way. We were pleasantly surprised. We called BATS at 4:30 and our cab arrived in less than 15 minutes. Our driver was very polite and his cab was clean. We called at 9:30 for a return cab and one arrived in less than 10 minutes. Again very nice driver and clean cab. Sparse Service, NOT! Bad Service, NOT. read more

If I could I would give no stars. I used bats for the first time today. All I have to say Is wow. And not wow in a good way. Taxi #31 picked me up at target on park and Tyrone. Cab was clean. He got their in good time. The problem was the driver was cussing. It was like every other word was cussing. Then someone honked at him. And he started yelling out the window and cussing. I don't know if that is against your policy. But as a passenger I was kinda nervous riding with him. And some of his driving was questionable. One point he came with what seemed inches from rear ending another car. My suggestion call United taxi. They are busy but they are worth the wait in my mind. The driver at United are 10 times friendlier and drive a lot better. Never ever ever using United again. read more

I called them up for a delivery. They quoted the delivery at $12.50. I paid for the items then called back the taxi company to pick it up. They then told me it was $20. I complained about the bait and switch but no deal was possible, that was the best they could do. So the taxi comes they did arrive quickly but the taxi driver tells me it's 23.50 and I give her 25 and then she tells me she has no change. I will never call them again, you decide if it's worth it for you. read more

They are relatively quick in arriving, but I've had a couple instances where the drivers made it clear that I wasn't a priority. They've lied to me about how long they're going to take; one girl even turned around 1/4 mile away from my house with me in the car because she then realized that I wasn't her fare, it was someone else in my building. The cars have always been clean, I guess. read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would. Both drivers that I encountered (cab 18 and cab 28) were absolutely TERRIBLE. They were both extremely rude. The driver in cab 18 was so bad that we didn't even get in it. Then he got so angry that he almost hit a child and an associate of the Vinoy when he sped off the property. And when we finally got in a car it was dirty and gross. Update your cars and train your staff on proper customer service. read more

Poor does not even begin to show how bad my experience was! I spoke with the manager and told him the address I wanted to be picked up at. The driver picked me up at the address they have on file. When the driver called me I told him he was at the wrong address and I was a block over. He signed and hung up on me so I had to walk back to my apartment where he was waiting. He dropped me off in the van and I told him to open the door on the opposite side. My laptop bag was leaning against the door I was at. He did not listen and opened my door, my laptop fell out and now it's lagging and the DVD slot is broken. The contents of my bag fell out and the driver did not even bother to say sorry and didn't even help! My fiance called and spoke with a different manager. She said I never spoke with her brother about where to schedule a pick up. He was told the line was recorded and I was never told that. They claim it is my fault and the manager I spoke with was siding with her brother. What AWFUL people! Never again! After much arguing, I was told that my bag fell out of the van because it was me who was juggling with my stuff and I dropped it. But that's all fine as it is my fault. I was told by the owner not to post any reviews as she has her sources. I told her I will give my reviews via word of mouth. I do not recommend this service. read more
