For the engagement photos, this was back in November 2023. She was already there when we arrived. Zach and I both felt so awkward and nervous since this was our first photo shoot, but Anna worked her magic and did her best to help us relax for the entire session. She's also a dog person so I was overjoyed that our dog was able to join us in these photos. After we saw the amazing engagement photos, I knew I had to secure her for our wedding day. Her response time is great as well; she will let you know when she is out of town and how long/when to expect a response from her. Our wedding was in mid-July 2024. Anna was there early again to scope out the wedding venue and checked in with both Zach and I the entire event. When I was having trouble walking in my dress, she was quick on her feet to help me. The studio is clean, inviting and spacious for my family. It also has a comfortable area for baby feeding and diaper changes. We decided to do a cake smash Photoshoot for our baby's 1 year birthday. After seeing the many cute…read morecake smash backgrounds that Tangram Studio had, we decided to book with them! Ted was very responsive and we were able to book an appointment for the following week (we took a day off in the middle of the week). We also decided to do the add on for family and pets. I LOVE that there's an option to include our furry family members! As much as I tried to plan ahead and get to the studio in time that day, my baby decided to fight his nap that morning. He eventually fell asleep.. but way too close to the time we had to leave. I reached out to Ted ASAP to ask if there was flexibility to push the photoshoot back a bit so my baby could take an hour nap so he's less likely to be fussy during the photoshoot. He had another scheduled shoot after ours but was flexible for us to come a bit later than scheduled which I was very grateful for! When we got to the studio, the cake smash background was already set up! The studio was so clean! There was a room for us to change the baby and put all our stuff in - there was also a changing table and diaper pail in there! Ted and his assistant were so great with our dogs and baby! They were patient and knew how to get our baby to laugh and look at the camera. There were a few times where I was ready to give up because handling a baby and two dogs for a photoshoot was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be! Ted was so patient with them and continuing to try his best to take the perfect shot for us. I really appreciated that because there were some amazing photos we would have missed out on if not for Ted! Cleanup was super easy - we brought wipes to wipe our baby down and then took him to the bathroom to do a quick rinse before leaving. I was surprised that we got our proof gallery two days later! The unedited proof gallery pictures were honestly high quality and I would not have known they were unedited if they didn't tell me! We received our edited photos 2 weeks later. I was so happy with the fast turnaround time! I asked Ted if he could fix my hair in the family pictures and he was able to do so for me (thank you!!). I'd absolutely come back for another photoshoot in the future and would highly recommend Tangram!

After coming across their photos when researching different potential photographers that had experience at our venue, we were very interested in meeting them. We had an initial video call with them and knew immediately that we wanted to book them for such a critical part of our wedding journey. There aren't enough words to describe how skilled and professional they are--they are amazing photographers (individually and as a duo) and clearly love what they do. Our proposal photoshoot was the only prior experience we had in terms of taking professional photos as a couple. We met them in person for the first time at our engagement photoshoot--they immediately made us feel comfortable and were seriously thoughtful about the entire process, whether it was the location choices, minute-by-minute weather changes/forecast, outfit changes, etc. It really feels like they plan for everything and care about the little details. When we asked them about another vendor they would potentially work with on the day of our wedding, they even referenced notes they made when they had worked with them for a prior wedding. Throughout the whole process, they were prompt communicators (frequently responding to an email within minutes!) and guided us with experience and patience that we really appreciated. Whenever we had something to discuss with them (including choices we needed to make as a couple), they never hesitated to give us suggestions and feedback. Even if they offered an alternative suggestion to an idea of ours, it always felt like they genuinely cared and they wanted what we wanted, and it never felt like criticism. We received our wedding photos just about 2 months after our wedding, and we love every single one of them (all 667)! They are truly the best photographers to work with and just lovely people to be around.
