    a plate of mexican food
    Hunter B.

We decided to come here for lunch on a Saturday and we were able to get a table immediately. Love how they have the warm chips and salsa at the table. I got the chicken enchiladas dish and it was all basic. The enchiladas were ok but the chicken was good. The rice and beans were just ok as well. Not the worst place to stop for some Mexican food.

Plenty of parking nearby, easy to stop in while you're going shopping at Office Depot of Sierra's

Didn't know what to expect when walking in, but it certainly wasn't the charming interior of this restaurant! There we're murals on all the walls, and you could tell a lot of effort had been put into it's design when this place first opened. The repairs from replacing ceiling tiles we're pretty obvious, but not enough to detract from the overall ambiance. Our waiter brought out chips and salsa right away, and we ended up splitting an Enchiladas Sonora, which was delicious! Between that and the chips and salsa, which they immediately refilled when they saw we were running low, we were stuffed by the time the plate was cleared. The only blemish on our dining experience was when the bill was brought around. When paying, rather than giving me the pad and letting me choose the tip, the waiter pre-selected the second highest default option of 25%, kept the device in hand, and angled it towards me and asked if that was good. It was, because we had a great time, but the whole interaction gave me a really weird vibe, like the tip was being strong armed. An unfortunate way to finish off our meal, and it might lead to us not going back. Haven't decided yet.

Got to the restaurant at 5:30, didn't get our order taken for 20 minutes and we STILL haven't gotten the food at 6:30. Will be leaving soon. Don't even know what the food tastes like. Great Diet Coke though.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I came in to Laredo's, but I was immediately impressed by their charming decorations - they clearly had spent a good amount of time creating a cute and welcoming vibe. We were seated right away and served chips and salsa. The waiter was very attentive, while also giving us enough time to peruse the many options on their menu. I had one of their enchilada meals - it looked and tasted so good I forgot to snag a picture of it. One strange thing happened at the end of the meal - when we were paying for our meal, the waiter had already chosen the 25% tip option and made it a little difficult to choose another tip option. While I always try to tip well, it seemed sort of strange to not be given the option to choose our tip amount.

We had dinner here on a whim because the restaurant next door was too long of a wait and we were starving and WOW it did not disappoint. We of course shared a pitcher of raspberry margarita which was quite sweet but super delicious. My fiancé and I both had the enchiladas. They had HUGE servings and so so yummy. I love spicy and I asked the waiter if they had spicy salsa and he brought me this delicious homemade spicy sauce. It was amazing. We will for sure be back!

I have been aware of this restaurant for years, and finally got around to trying it out, (May 15, 2019). I arrived at 1:30 PM for a late lunch, and half the tables were still occupied, (a good sign). On the plus side; convenient location at the intersection of Whitney Way and Odana Road, plenty of parking, reasonable prices, friendly staff, good chips & salsa, and the food was brought to my table FAST (within 5 minutes). I also give them credit for making an attempt at decor, with the walls painted with murals, as if you were at an outdoor cantina on the streets of a Mexican village. The food (burrito, tostada and quesadilla) was underwhelming, at first. By the time I was halfway through with the meal, I'd changed my mind. It took my palate a few minutes to adjust from my expectations, (spicier food). The ingredients were fresh, and the flour items well-baked. When the meal began, the cheese quesadilla was my least favorite part of the meal, by the end it was the star. I would not go out-of-my-way to dine here, or recommend this place as a must-do to for Mexican dining, but WOULD eat here if I was already in the neighborhood. Decent food, served fast, and at fair prices.

One of our favorite hole in the wall Mexican restaurants! We've been here a few times and have yet to have a bad experience. Service is always great, which can be tough to find sometimes. Besides the great service, the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The only downside is no draft beer, but the margaritas are fantastic and you'll need to try one!!

We had a good time here, but the food left me a bit disappointed…read more We were warmly welcomed, seated right away, service was great. I opted for a couple tacos, chicken and chorizo. I love chorizo. So much. And I was excited about that one the most. But I was surprised when it came...it was certainly sausage-y. But it tasted....sweet? Like breakfast sausage. Or Cincinnati-style/Skyline chili. Not Mexican food, street taco chorizo. With the traditional toppings (and the Wisconsin-style taco toppings) the flavor, which I didn't like anyway, became actively bad. I can only assume this is they type of chorizo they order, but it was so bad on my taste buds. The chicken was ok, but the strangeness of the other taco made it entirely unmemorable. We got some adult beverages which were very tasty, and for an upcharge I got some sour cream that I used to make the rest of my plate in to a bit of a meal-filler because I couldn't finish that taco... So overall, it was fine. But I don't know if I would choose to come back here, but I am sure I could find something else on the menu to get me through.

Maybe because this location is kind of tucked away in a Verona residential neighborhood? It's a nice new space, great decor, and amazing back patio area. It was so nice sitting outside on the patio. This has always been one of my fav restaurants but I haven't gone recently and have never been to this location. Their chips are the best ever. We of course started with chips and salsa. I thought their salsa was just ok but the chips were incredible as always. I had my go-to order, chicken quesadillas. Not as good as they have been in the past. They do always have great rice and bean. I thought my meal was just ok overall. I would love to come back for dinner and maybe try something else on the menu.

Fast forward to yesterday, when I met my brother and mom for lunch. I suggested Chili's because it was close, and they had the "3 for me" special. My lunch was EXCELLENT! I was getting full from the all the food we got, and had to stop myself from trying to finish the burger. The fries were fresh and tasty. The fully-loaded baked potato soup was very good. All that, with a soda, for just $10.99? Yes please! I'll definitely have this near the top of my list when someone says, "hey, let's do lunch". The restaurant was pretty busy (but we could get a table), but service was fast and friendly. Soda refills were on the table before I could even ask. Only four stars because they took away the ability to separate the check by item on the table kiosks, which I imagine is unlikely this specific locations's fault, but still makes it inconvenient when there with friends. The Verona location is about the same size as the Hilldale location was, and it's definitely got a cute vibe. When I stopped in a few weeks ago, I ordered my old tried and true - the chicken quesadilla. This used to be my favorite quesadilla around, because cubed meat disgusts me, and Pasqual's is one of the few places I've ever found that uses pulled chicken. The flavor just wasn't what I remembered, it was rather bland, despite the peppers and the hot salsa. The rice was pretty dry, and also lacked flavor. The chips are still fire though - that seasoning dust on them just really kicks it up a notch! Huge fan of those, and I'm glad you can buy them in the store.
