I saw a young lady sweeping in the produce area & asked if the bakery took orders. There wasn't a counter to speak to anyone just someone working behind the glass bakery cases. The girl went speak to someone whittles her it was too late to place an order today.I explained to her I only wanted to ask some questions and shared that I had driven over an hour to arrive. She returned to speak to the lady back there. The girl returned and said something about her being busy. I figured she might come out but stood there waiting and nothing. If she's there why couldn't come out to speak to a customer? I thought about asking for the manager but frankly I was annoyed by the poor service. I arrived about 5:15 and left at 5:20 today, March 17, 2026. Will never step foot inside this store ever again. I will drive into Houston & visit the one off Wayside or Crosstimbers where they have always had outstanding customer service.

The bathrooms are above-average clean for a gas station and are very modern. It looks like a great place to buy beer--they have a selection equivalent to a grocery store and a dedicated walk-in cooler. The food is another story. I've seen the food well-stocked, but I went in at noon on a Saturday for something hot and was disappointed. They didn't have the chopped beef sandwich or sriracha burger that they advertised as a special. I think they were understaffed and didn't manage to stock. I ended up with a sausage on a stick and a choice off the roller grill. They did have a good variety there, including a breakfast sausage that was tempting, but in the end I went with a pepperoni pizza grilled sausage, with some "chili" and cheese from the dispensers. Gourmet food it was not, but actually not half bad. The sanitary conditions for the food were good. The buns were individually wrapped, and the drink cup lids were in dispensers that cut down on fingering the stack. They had two Freestyle machines, and both appeared to be working properly, which you can't take for granted. The gas is a bit above average in price, but it's convenient and I'm happy to patronize it.

I've only had the tacos here, but they're always good, and they make the corn tortillas fresh to order from a container of masa dough rather than just reheating the bagged stuff on a griddle, which is rare in Cypress. They keep fairly typical taqueria/taco truck hours in that the kitchen closes after lunch, which is usually around 3pm on weekdays and maybe 4pm on the weekend. Their prices are typical, too. Tacos are $1.50, tortas/burritos/quesadillas are $5, and gorditas are $2.50.

I had heard through some community social media that they were serving some basic cooked items like hamburgers, fries, tacos, kids meals, etc. I had stopped next door at the little postal shop and figured I would grab a quick bite. The kitchen is small and behind a counter where you order and pay. There is no price list of any kind. There is a TV screen which has images telling what the serve but no prices. There was a small printed menu but no prices. I figured I would just get a chicken taco. I asked the girl how much, her grasp of English was very poor. I finally asked cuánto cuesta? $4.78 she replied. So I ordered it, I handed here a $5 bill. That 's when I noticed she had on the black latex gloves a lot of cooks wear, they were greasy from touching the food. She proceeded to give me change from my $5 and the coins were all greasy! She touched the cash register several times to do the transaction so I assume the register now had greasy keys and what germs might have been there were now on the gloves. She then went back to make my taco without changing her gloves. This is what I hate about cooks wearing gloves, it is a false sense of hygiene. I received my taco, As I walked out I dropped it into the trash can, $5 wasted.
