This place has done nothing but gone downhill when it was sold. Today was quite adventure there. Went there because they had 2 20 ounce bottle of Pepsi sodas for $2.50. When I went to check out I was told that, get this, Cherry Pepsi is NOT a Pepsi product. The sign outside and inside both said 2 20 oz. Bottle of Mountain Dew or Pepsi products for $2.50. According to the one guy I was not reading this the sign correctly. Then went off on some tangent about the cooler being all Pepsi products. Cans, bottles, and everything else. Then I pointed that the sign and said 20 ounce bottles of MTN Dew or other Pepsi products. His whole thing was that it was for Mountain Dew ONLY!!! I told him it was false advertisement because he is NOT honoring what the advertisement said. He kept on telling me that I was wrong and it was for Mountain Dew only. Once again showed him that what the sign said. I told him to keep his $h!t. Then he FINALLY realized that he was wrong and offered to give me the bottles as it's advertised. I kept on walking. I'm not going to give a place my money when they argue that they are wrong.By the way I went to another Exxon station and guess what? They gave me the two bottle of Pepsi products for the advertisement price. Told them of my adventure at Star Stop. He laughed and said they get constant complaints about them.
This is not the first time I've heard about this. No I was not going there to cause problems, I just wanted something to drink. Friend of mine had the same thing happen to him last year with this same Star Stop and an advertisement like this and the people fixed it by putting duct tape over the "other Pepsi products" part of the advertisement. Not only does this place have a funky smell of like body odor and incense, their product selection is dwindling. read more
