I prefer not to make fake smiles and small talk with business owners and I appreciate the staff here. If you get to know some of the people here, they are normal humans who work a business, not your best friends. My boyfriend owns a store nearby. I work there occasionally and I totally get the reasoning behind a standoff attitude. If you have a problem with it, you're a transplant or a tourist. Like The Residents sang; " I was just exhausted by the act of being polite.." Amazing designer pieces that would cost thousands new. I've also consigned here. And I'll be back !

Around 12:30p on 8/19 I overheard a woman threaten her daughter (around 9 years old). Daughter walked in saying "please stop" 3 times (mom was trying to persuade her to do something) and the mom said intensely she's going to "give her to surrogate parents". Talking about abandoning your kid as a punishment or for leverage is terrible. I should have said something to let the child know that's wrong, but I didn't.

The store offers designer & alt-designer clothes, shoes & bags for a fraction of what you would pay for them retail (Dries, Owens, Isabel Marant, Acne). For a taste of what they have on offer (as well as heads up on sales), follow them on Instagram. Some of the reviews here mention a snooty staff. I've never experienced that. I have found everyone to be courteous, friendly and respectful, engaged when I had questions, but otherwise leaving me to my own devices (which is the kind of service I prefer). I've also worked with Eva in her closet-cleaning, wardrobe upgrade service and for anyone who is thinking that they might need the same I say DO IT. She doesn't mess around - the process was fun, yes, but also efficient. We did the closet-cleaning, during which we chatted about what I liked, and where I was looking to stylistically go. Then she spent a day scouting stores & sending me pictures of things she found to see what I liked (and didn't like). After that, we shopped together for 3 hours - and boom, just like that, I have a tight, beautiful perfect-for-me selection and a bunch of styling ideas using things I already have. It seems like such a luxury to use a service like this but, honestly, I find that I am making better choices about what to put in my (wonderfully airy) closet (read: fewer expensively suspect decisions). If there is something I have a question about, I text a picture to Eva and she send me back her thoughts. I can't recommend Eva & the store highly enough.

I was trying a jacket on, and been walking in the store to try to match a pants or hat to the jacket, and the guy in the store says, if you're not buying the jacket just put it down so other people can try it too, I'm like what?! However, I ended up buying this jacket and a hat, but the they was walking after me in the store and looking at me while I'm trying the clothes like I'm a thief! What a horrible shopping experience! To be honest, after leaving the store I regretted that I purchased the jacket from these people.

The selection is...interesting. I was very excited by a pale pink leather jacket for $60, but when I tried it on, I looked like a linebacker. I did find some fun plastic necklaces for $5 each, and I'm wearing all three of them together. I also found a "gold" link necklace. I rarely wear costume jewelry, but when I do, it's obviously fake. Reminiscence has extremely civilized hours. They open late-ish and close late-ish. The cashier was friendly. They have a fun selection of new socks, old hats, and racks of clothes arranged by category (jackets, pants, dresses), but not by size. Most items seem to be either $30 or $60.

The boots are fire but I spent $50 on $10 SHEIN shoes. Customer service was 10/10 though. I would expect SHEIN at a thrift store but not a vintage store please source better.

I would have purchased more had she not consistently flung the dressing room curtain open and exposed my half dressed self to everyone shopping in the store. Looking at this reviews now i dont feel as crazy as i did after walking off. Example: I asked for size for different items and the gentleman looked at me said ok and went back to the same spot where he was chatting with another employee to continue his personal conversation and once he was done he came back to asked me one more time what items i needed size... excuse me? Another moment was me walking around looking for a fitting room now mind you they have like 15 employees for a store thats not even big they all see me looking around nobody said anything i had to literally go and asked them if they had fitting rooms they proceeded to point to where the fitting room was located..(rude) then as im taking my clothes off one of the employees without even knocking open the door (the door doesn't have a lock) scaring the sht outta me, doesn't apologize and again without even asking if i was ok with him taking my handbag he just took it and hang it on a rack right next to the door... he didn't care to take it behind the register anyone could have taken it and leave without an issue (this particular moment did it for me because i will go and check them out but they will never get a dollar off of me....) -1 Star because they absolutely could have better racks and features in the store the way they are set up it really looks like a thrift store i compare their looks to 2nd street thrift store but organized. For the price point and the amount of celebrities clientele who visit daily I think the store should have a more upscale look and even more items or more sizes. They can definitely improve in visual, sizes and handbags. Overall i will recommend this boutique to the shoppers who don't like to be bothered and don't really be asking for much information or sizes. If you demand customer service this is not a store for you, if your wallet or cards don't have at least 1,000 to spend please don't waste your time this is not macys.
