Very fun experience! Staff were friendly & welcoming, lots of produce in the farmstand, great variety of apple, $1.49 a lb -great price! The orchard was crowded with families, couples, kids running around and yet didn't feel rushed or crowded. Beautiful farm, easy parking, stack of wagons to help you out, people wearing masks & keeping 6' apart. You can pick your own or purchase bagged apples in the farmstand. Caramel apples were crazy good! Pumpkins & gourds were also available. And don't forget the apple cider donuts & cider! Great experience

Love love love this place! I had no idea it's only 15 min from our house! You can do just about anything here from picking flowers, picking nectarines and blueberries to apples! We did blueberry and flower picking and it was just so nice and relaxing. You get a bucket for blueberries and a cute bucket with water for flowers and clippers. I would HIGHLY recommend going on the weekend cause they have homemade blueberry donuts to die for!! Also the shop inside has there home grown veggies and fruit, honey, maple syrup, cheese etc. absolutely fantastic place! Oh and they wrap your flowers you picked at the end! Wonderful Mother's Day gift ;)

Been to 3 this year, and this is the best, friendliest, most fun. Good for kid and family More than apples

We came here on the recommendation of a friend and picked blueberries for the first time. The price was reasonable. They had lined buckets at the ready and were open until 6 pm. The perfect combination for a successful first trip. The farm stand is a little cabin on the side of the road. There are flowers and apple orchards lining the street but the blueberries are more in the back. We got lost even with directions from those in the stand. The blueberries were really tasty and will be great in everything we make. They also have some fresh vegetables and other homemade items (jams and local honey) at the farm stand. We picked up some jam, which was also delicious.

    Best farm stand in CT!

There was a time when I thought the front counters of country stores would make an interesting picture of rural america, maybe some one will make it and ... but on to Rucki's. What a cool find. A small country store with fresh vegetables from local gardens, a few canned goods, videos for rent, books to loan, a coffee area, fresh made morning cinnamon rolls, fresh meat, friendly people and more. After chatting with mom, (her daughters are moving things around the store and cashier - I am sure they do everything around the store as well) I learned that the tag line for the store is everything from Bibles to Bullets - and yes they sell bibles and bullets!. So I bought a fresh baked gooey cinnamon roll and gave the young lady a 2 dollar bill. One of my other well known quirks is to carry two dollar bills and use them for purchases and tips. She looked at the two dollar bill, held it up and yelled across the store, mom do we take these and she held it up. Her mom laughed and the young teenagers had her first encounter with a two dollar bill. What fun. Creating memories for her and me as the travels continue. Be sure to visit Frog Rock for another hoot when you are in the area.

Clean, well organized store with a great "aisle of shame", ie, aisle of stuff you don't know you need until you see it! I purchased all my fruit from Aldi's last week and NOTHING has gotten moldy- which typically happens when I buy fruit from stop and shop- within a day or two! So A+ for fruit and produce! They have a really good dairy section and a lot of good frozen items. My only issue would be that they don't have everything! I usually shop for specific snacks for my eight-year-old son and they often don't carry a lot of the snacks that he enjoys! However, with that being said, their prices are amazing! I bought 6-8 items the other day and it was literally under $30!!! If I had purchased that from stop and shop it would have been- no lie- $50-$75! And with the price of groceries just going up and up- I can't afford to spend that much & then in 2 days half of the fruit needs to be thrown out bc of mold! At Aldi's everything I have purchased has been very high quality- especially a lot of the cheeses they carry! Overall they have a GOOD selection of items - but a lot of my usuals they don't carry! Which includes certain cereals like Frosted Flakes, Honey Nut Cheerios and cinnamon toast crunch. If you don't mind non-name brand- they have a ton of substitutions or equivalents- so that's a plus. Another very minor issue- I have when I shop here- is you need a quarter to use a carriage and I always forget change and they don't do bags- so bring your own! Another occasional issue is the lines. It seems like they don't have enough cashiers or maybe I only shop during their "peak" busy times but I have walked in- gotten a few items and have had to leave because the line was just long and taking forever. So if you plan on shopping here- I would try to come when it's not too busy! Overall the service is always consistently good and cashiers are friendly. The store itself is ALWAYS near and tidy- unlike other similar retailers which are just a mess! Side note: They have machines so you can recycle bottles/cans/etc. which is also very convenient! !
