On the downside, Market Basket can get very busy. Navigating the aisles can be challenging, and there can still be lines at the registers on the weekends even when all of them are open. The parking lot can be just as crowded. Sometimes necessary to park in the Home Depot lot because the Market Basket lot is completely full. Overall, though, Market Basket offers good prices, a solid selection, fresh produce, and plenty of staffed checkout lanes. A solid 4 stars.

Not a lot of stuff on Block Island so Block Island Depot is a great place to know about when your stomach starts to complain. The Depot is on Ocean Ave but ironically Ocean Ave is one of the few roads on the island that you can't really see the ocean from.. That's all right; it's still a very nice view and a pretty cool place to take a break. Not a place to stock up for a famine but a cool little store to load up for a day trip. It even has a great front porch to sit on and munch on your food. A great place to meet local folks and learn about the gossip on the island. The folks that work there know the island and can direct you to anyplace you want to go. Sure it's expensive but the everything on the island is. Block Island Depot is just a little place but it is a very cool spot to stop and take a break while biking around this island.
