On arrival it was manic but agreed to wait for 15 min on the side for a table. Overseeing the bar I caught glimpses of waterdowned cocktails being prepped and sent out cementing my decision not to try one. After 15min we were led down a busy stretch of faux tucs tucs and a seated against a a wall crowded with loot stuck to the wall. The menu had plenty to offer from dim sum, Thai fishcakes lots of variants of sea bass and all Thai dishes you could think of catering from meat eaters to vegans. I adore bubble tea so was madly curious to try a alcohol variant which was a boozy salted caramel. My other half ordered a havana rum. My partner received whisky rather than rum and mine was full of so much tapioca it spoiled it. For food my partner had the har kau prawn dumplings and pineapple rice with prawns. Myself pork sesame skewers along with prawn red curry. We both enjoyed the starters lovely texture and flavours besides the unhappy lettuce. Unfortunately the mains were weak. We had eaten pineapple rice in our weeks and Thailand and wanted to experience that same tastiness. It was just plain rice , under cooked veg and big prawns on the side.. not rice laced with pineapple etc.. my red Thai curry was more of a soup with basic flavour with also undercooked veg. I like to have some bite but not like this. The prawns were cooked nicely . Not once did anyone ask about our wellfare or food quality. Drone like they cleaned tables with lighting speed and took food orders churning the fast tables over. Overall very disappointed with despite the service charge they whacked on not very attentive and poor food quality.

Really looking forward to this authentic thai street food experience, passed by the day before…read moreafter we had already eaten and on our way back to our hotel, seeing all the steaming dishes from the window, decided for our last night in Nottingham, we needed to come here. It was also located right round the corner to our hotel! On walking in, feels like you are entering into a little bit of Thailand. The welcome was friendly, with cute little Thai children, playing near the front, waving and smiling at you! We were seated at a table near the front of the restaurant but at the back, they had seating in tuk tuks, which seems to be for larger parties, or for four diners. I also noticed a railway track going through the restaurant. The restaurant filled up pretty quickly after we arrived after 6pm. Service seems to be hit and miss though. Took some time before our orders were taken, then when our food arrived it was lukewarm, not, as I noticed, steaming hot, like other diners were. It is probable that our dishes were prepared, but they had forgotten to bring it to our table, as our drinks took some time to arrive after reminding them twice, as they had not even arrived after the food arrived. The starter of Spicy Payaya Salad came at the same time as the mains. This was actually very spicy despite being told it was mild. I only like a hint of spice so was too much for me, but my partner like extra spicy, so great for him. Quality wise, I would not say the food was the best I had, it was quite average, and since my Prawn Pad See Aew was cold after a few mouthfuls, it felt like eating a cold soggy mess, their was no crunch in the vegetables and the noodles were more like short pieces of pasta, and not much prawns to speak of. My partner's Pad Gra Tium Prik Thai with marinated beef, was ok too, nothing to shout about either, again this was also cold after a few mouthfuls, as I watch other diners' enjoying their food, with constant steam swirling from it. Since there were no waiters in sight for quite a long length of time, we decided to eat it anyway. If food is supposed to be served cold, like salad, then you would expect it to be cold but not if food should be served hot, so this is disappointing. For dessert, we ordered the Khow Niew Ma Muang, sweet sticky rice and mango, topped with tapioca red bean paste, and sprinkled with seasame. Now, this was a delight, the sticky rice was so unexpectedly hot, it burnt the tongue! The mangoes was the right kind of ripe. Lovely. Also, what they did well is the coconut water. This is really the real thing, with bits of coconut and so satisfying and refreshing, that we ordered it twice! We were just unlucky with the service of our mains, did not come hot and fresh, or quickly, but would try them again on our next visit to Nottingham.

We had used these in a previous house over a few yrs and it has really gone down hill. Despite it being a saturday evening, aprox 6pm, I expected a delay but the order arrived at 6.55pm. That was ok but basically the food was stone cold. I rang them straight back to explain what we paid £20 for. Cold rice and chips. The curry sauce was lumpy and didnt run as it had clearly sat there for too long it was just thickening with time and cold. The only slightly warm thing was the noodles and even the free prawn crackers were cold. seemed that they may have pre cooked and warmed up the other items and maybe the noodles were last cooked., My friend ate his but mine went straight int he bin. I was furious as the lady on the other end was ignorant to me and didnt have an answer. I said we are eating cold food and its really not good enough - asking what she will do about it? she offered a 20% discount on my next order depending on how much i spent. I explained that i was unable to eat it cold. I was offered money off next time but there wont be a next time. I even tipped the driver. When i asked for the manager, this little girls voice said she was the manager. I am disgusted with the food and the staff and will never use them again. Had they said they were sorry, or that there was a problem with the orders or time getting to us, something, but to get nothing and have to argue with someone to get my point across. I spent £20 on cold dinner that went in the bin, Please dont do the same as me. We havent got money to waste and this place has gone downhill since we have used it and i would hate someone else to experience the loss i endured. Terrible food. Terrible staff and terrible service.

Example: my udon noodles came with a fried egg, they actually put the egg in its own little container to keep it intact, and it arrived with the yolk still runny, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? I'm so impressed. I polished off the edamame, simple but yum, wasn't a huge fan of the weird seaweed garden salad thing - it had a creamy sauce on it and a bunch of other things that weren't seaweed. I didn't realize it's like, literally a garden salad you'd get as a side, with seaweed on it plus some creamy sauce. I picked all the seaweed out to nom on, and the fresh avocado, didn't want the rest. On to the next on on to the next... Korean Bibimbap Seafood Udon. YUM. Big fat slurpable noodles - check. Tangy kimchi - check. Mixed seafood including mussels, prawns, fish cake - check. Aforementioned perfect fried egg dotted with seaweed - check. Veggies like carrots, courgette, mushrooms - check. Meal in a bowl! Filling, wonderful, and I have to say slurpable again because it was the slurpablest ever. Aside from the kimchi, the broth tasted like nice broth, but not like "omg this is so Korean and unusual," and it wasn't super spicy, however it was an incredibly well-assembled dish, everything fresh and perfectly texture. Totally addicting, I kept eating it even after I was full because I would leave no noodle untouched. Can't speak for what the restaurant is like, but delivery was super fast on a Tuesday night, and I can't even believe how hot and fresh the food arrived. This udon soup is the perfect cure for a rainy winter night, you should go get some right now.

Couldn't…read morerecommend this place more than anywhere else in Nottingham/Derby stop eating Wagamama and get yourself some real asian food from sushi to some of the nicest udon noodles i've ever had. Top things to try: Bento Boxes (Amazing for people who are new to asian cuisine but are willing to try things from sushi to curry dishes) Noodle Soups: I Personally love the Sake Gyu Niku Udon which is Sake marinated beef with thick, udon noodles in soya soup. ------------------ Service: Amazing but persistent i feel like the restaurant is a bit over staffed when it comes to servers and waiters due to the fact we had 3/5 people ask us if we are ready to order as the menu is rather large we took 10 minutes to decide and having people coming up and asking you constantly are you ready to order and stuff like that can make you feel pressured to hurry up and order but honestly they are some of the nicest servers you could ask for, ------------------ Problems: Calling your restaurant Pan Asia BBQ And not having the BBQ's working/available is a really off putting thing about returning it's the main reason i'm giving 4/5 traveling 50 minutes for this restaurant getting your hopes up and not having the whole experience isn't the best but i will return when they're working and ill update my review. ------------------ Short Summary: Amazing Asian food rather cheap, really good for people starting out with asian food or just wanting to experiment. Traveled quite far but was worth it only thing that let it down was the BBQ's not working.

I ordered the chicken satay for starters while my friends ordered the stewed spare ribs in barbecue sauce, the tempura prawns with sweet chili dip, and the chicken chicken wings with sweet chili sauce, all nicely displayed on the plate and all did taste very delicious, the meat succulent and tender. For mains, I ordered my favourite Thai dish, Pad Thai with giant freshwater prawns. It was extremely tasty, the Thai noodle recipe was apparently passed down by the chef's grandmother. It was served with two giant, whole prawns with shells on, cut in half but held together at the tails. Very meaty. The noodles were the right texture, moist, good flavours, not hard or al dente. My partner's dish of Thai and Hainanese style chicken, with rice and broth was also a tasty dish. Lovely presentation of my friend's mains of spaghetti with king prawns, mixed with fresh Tom Yum sauce. My other friend enjoyed her Thai green curry with rice and chicken which she said had a kick in it that went on for quite a few kicks! A very filling meal which we thoroughly enjoyed. We washed it down with a bottle of Thai Premium Rose, which was an excellent accompaniment, fresh and not too sweet. The service was friendly and swift. Would definitely return if in the area.

I have to say, it's the worst experience that I ever had and certainly will not be going back. I have eaten in just about every restaurant in Nottingham that offers dim sum. It was obvious that the food was re-heated, and some of the fried food was over cooked and burnt. The special house noodle came to the table cold and the sauce looking like glue, when I told the waitress that the food was cold, she just ignored me and walked away. Eventually one of the other waitress took the dish back to kitchen, after some time it arrived back; the sauce stilled looked like glue and this time the noodle was burnt. We ordered (two adult and child) 5 dim sum dishes and the special house noodle between us, and out of the whole order, we can only managed to eat one of the dishes because we were so hungry by this point. We complain to the waitress and received no response. When I asked for the bill and had a quiet word with the manageress about the standard of the food, I was basically told that I don't have any taste or know anything about Chinese food (by the way I am Chinese and my son who was with me, who usually eats just about anything, couldn't even stomach the food on offer, as it was so bad). So we basically paid nearly £30 for one small dim sum dish that we managed to eat.
