Even so, I needed to get it done, so I called up West Chester Dental based on reviews on Yelp. I have to say, I'm glad that I listened to Emily R. and Lara P. My experiences with West Chester Dental have been outstanding. When I called up to discuss becoming a patient, Tyler was very helpful and answered all of my questions. Given that this is a fairly sizeable practice, I had the option of dentists, and after some discussion about my preferences and needs, she set me up with Dr. Goel, the head of the practice. I came in for my first appointment just to assess where we are at and put together a treatment plan, and everyone was just so pleasant and nice. Dr. Goel came in and introduced himself and asked how I was doing, and when I replied that I was stressed, he assured me that this was a stress-free environment and that everything would be fine. He couldn't be more right. I have had no stress when I have been in to see Dr. Goel or his staff, even with my anxieties. Since my first visit, I have had some fairly extensive work done, and have more to go. I have had a variety of work done in the past, and Dr. Goel and his staff do such a better job of performing the work and handling the paperwork. The process has been seamless, even when dealing with my insurance carrier. I had oral surgery, and came out if it with nearly no pain. I required a top plate, and when it has needed adjustment, they have been able to get me in same day and get the adjustment done. My last appointment took less than 15 minutes, and made such an improvement in the fit. I also like that they are not only concerned about fixing things like fillings and crowns, but they also are concerned about how it looks. The quality of the work and care is more than I expected. If you are looking for a dentist in this area of town, I highly recommend West Chester Dental. I am so glad I made the choice and contacted them.

Recently, I confirmed my appointment and they made me reschedule since on their end they didn't get a confirmation. Why am I paying for your system not working, literally have proof too that we confirmed. They had nothing soon for later afternoon as well which is what my original appointment that they gave away was. People have jobs and lives. Absolutely unacceptable all around. The office workers just well there's nothing we can do, I understand you're just doing your job and you're bad at it. No empathy for a "mistake" on your end.

Healthy gums, healthy teeth, etc. there is nothing to fear at the dentist if you're keeping up with your brushing and flossing etc. The office itself is very nice. You have a cable tv in your room and a massaging chair. All of the equipment is state of the art, so it's quick and painless.

The dental x-ray was quick and painless, unlike some previous dental xrays I had to do which took forever and couldn't even show me whether or not I had wisdom teeth. She walked me through the dental xray and pointed out the one wisdom tooth I had waiting to come in. I would've preferred none, but I'll settle for one wisdom tooth. Dr. Law explained each step of what she was doing while filling the cavity and cleaning my teeth. When she initially told me she would numb me up to address my cavity, I was a little nervous because I heard those numbing shots can be quite a treat. But I didn't feel a thing when she hit me up with the lidocaine! Magic. Additionally, her office is really cute, cozy, and clean. We were offered beverages and warm towels after the procedure to wipe down our mouths/face. Why don't more dental office do this?! I was in the waiting room when I received a text from my sister saying she was really nervous, and asked if I could come back with her. I asked the lady in the front office and she promptly said that the dentist did not allow people to be back there. I told her that my sister has very bad anxiety , but she dismissed me without even asking! She said the nurses there are good at helping patients calm down. Clearly not! Very shortly after, I received another text from my sister saying she was in tears, they gave her nitrogen to calm down but it didn't work. Again I asked the lady but she refused to do anything. My sister has a history of depression and serious anxiety, she's seen a psychiatrist and taken medicine for it for it, but the office staff didn't care whatsoever. Pretty soon she comes out in the waiting room, in tears and we promptly leave. No operation was done. This is completely unacceptable.

During a recent routine cleaning, my regular dentist noticed a potential issue with the implant and recommended that I start by returning to the original provider--so I did. From the start, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. I was initially told they never received my X-rays, so I personally brought them in. Once I did, the story changed: I was told the X-rays were "too grainy" to use and that they would need to take their own. When I asked how much that would cost, they said they didn't know and refused to look it up for me. I had two separate appointments, and at no point did anyone actually examine the problem or ask questions about my pain or symptoms. The focus was entirely on finances, and the tone made it very clear that they were not interested in helping me. The staff was rude, dismissive, and not honest about the situation. I am still dealing with tooth pain and genuinely hope to find a provider who will help me--but it will not be Advance Dentistry.

Instead, I was handed a staggering $3,565 treatment estimate that raised serious concerns about mandatory root planing being pushed, insurance and pricing transparency, and additional treatment recommendations that did not align with my recent dental exam. 1 Root planing pushed as "mandatory." Dr. Paola Castillo Ordonez insisted on $522 root planing and refused to perform a basic cleaning when I declined. After pushback, the doctor briefly said cleaning was possible, but the front desk later refused again unless I agreed. 2 Insurance and professionalism concerns. I was told my insurance cost for crowns would be about $1,600 per tooth and that their in-office rate of $1,200 was "cheaper." However, when I reviewed my insurance plan, the crown codes listed were closer to $500. When I asked which specific code was used for my estimate, as the code shown did not even appear on my insurance schedule and where did the $1,600 figure came from? She told to contact my insurance company myself to find out why the code they used was not showing on my plan. Once I began asking detailed questions, the responses became noticeably uneasy, vague, and deflective. During this exchange, the desk staff member walked away and left me sitting in the dental chair waiting; after receiving no assistance, I had to get up and walk out on my own. 3 Questionable additional treatment recommendations. Recommending significant additional work beyond what was recently evaluated raised serious concerns and felt more like an attempt to upsell services rather than patient-centered care. Due to this experience, I canceled appointments for my entire family of six. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and carefully reviewing any proposed treatment plans here.

Their contractor Dr. Grasso did an absolutely amazing job removing the infection from my teeth and extracting them.
