    Welcome
    Ms. B.

My first time stopping here today. Sure glad I did. What a pleasure on every level. Location, warm welcome, tasting room, facilities, outdoor picnic area music and wines. The full package here. The weather is cool today but I can imagine in the heat of summer what a wonderful respite this place must be. Thank you Linda for your gracious hospitality. Langtry is now on my shortlist of wineries to visit and wines to drink.

    Wine tasting under the trellis

This has quickly turned into one of our favorite wineries to go to over the many summers we have been going to Napa. Definitely worth the little detour off the beaten path. The estate is stunning and complete with a great lookout and trellis area where we did our wine tasting. The petite Sirah is what keeps me coming back, but I have a hard time finding a glass I don't like. We stopped by the Langtry House for the first time where you can host events and I am now looking for a reason to bring a bunch of friends up there for a weekend.

Great spot away from the wine hustle of Calistoga and Napa. The spot is amazing on top of the hill and the wines are solid. Very generous pours and it won't break the bank. They let you have a Picknick when you get a tasting.

An amazing wine tasting gem! Just driving into Langtry, you can see the amazing landscape and backdrop for their rich farmland. Once you pull into the parking lot, you are treated to an expansive and breathtaking view. We sat outside under a beautiful trellis and we're treated to live guitar music. The wines each have high points, but I especially liked the Serpentine rose. You can also enjoy a fancy cheese, meat & cracker spread. I recommend spending the day at this outstanding winery!

    Super cute tasting bar cart!

What a beautiful family winery just over the hill from St. Helena. Beautiful views overlooking the lake! I had an amazing day sipping wine with a delicious picnic basket that they offered and great music. Very relaxing and I would highly recommend making the trip!

    Gorgeous spring day at Langtry!

I had never heard of this place but a Yelp search in the area led us to them. It's such a great space with an amazing history, and the wine was excellent too! I'd highly recommend coming up and seeing their view and tasting their delicious wines. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful location!! The wine and staff were amazing. They have a great tasting room set up outdoors under a beautiful Wisteria arbor with amazing views of the vineyards, mountains and a beautiful lake. It has to be one of the best views!

What's better than a winery dog and a glass of wine?!

A hidden gem with the best wine and wonderful views! Nicci is incredible and very knowledgeable. Can't go wrong with a stop at Langtry! The winery dog (Moose) is just an added bonus.

    Cheers

Perfection! Sipping delicious wine overlooking the spectacular lake and vineyards. I can't think of a better spot to enjoy a glass of wine with friends. Langtry Farms is worth the drive. Over the top beautiful! My personal favorites were the Serpentine Meadow 2018 Rose and the Tephra Ridge 2017 Merlot. I can't wait to return again in the fall for harvest season!

    Gorgeous view

This place is absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed beautiful blue skies, a lovely view of the water, an amazingly talented musician, a yummy picnic basket, and (of course!) a variety of delicious wines. Unforgettable!

Our view at Langtry during wine tasting.

Langtry Farms was an amazing find! I visited there with a group of girlfriends and had the best afternoon. We sat outside during our tasting and were treated to spectacular views of nature and live music . The staff was friendly and the wines were delicious. My favorite wines were the Rose and Petite Sirah. I definitely recommend Langtry Farms and I am looking forward to receiving my wine from their wine club.

Nedra the owners wife refuses to pay for the transportation of a custom trailer from Jacksonville, FL to the winery in Middletown, CA. Bad experience and about to enter into collections. Attached is a picture of the trailer before it was customized and now being used on premise.

We love this spot so much! We relocated to the area last year and stumbled upon Langtry on one of our house hunting trips. We were immediately blown away by the beautiful views and the serenity you find at Langtry. Knowing that we had such a special place only 20 minutes away helped us make the big move. Not only are the wines and views fantastic but the hospitality is what makes this place truly magical. Both Jose and Scottie are so friendly and approachable. Scottie really knows his wine and the history of the property and is always welcoming and is clearly a favorite of Langtry's repeat guests. We joined the wine club and have found ourselves visiting quite often on the weekends when we just need to take a break. They are doing a lot of work on the property and we are excited to see how the property transforms- while hopefully maintaining that historic charm and character. There's nothing quite like sitting in those Adirondack chairs under the shaded pergola on a sunny day.

They have themed days while you're doing your tasting such as bingo night, 90s/2000s music night, family night, etc. The wine was great, there was a variety of Pinot noir's, a rose, and a Syrah, accompanied by a cheese plate already included in price, wow!! My adoring sidekick and I were invited to a private wine tasting and that experience poured straight into our memory like a perfectly decanted dream. Gary Brooks himself was there, the soft-spoken sorcerer behind Brooks Note Winery. His wines didn't whisper, they sang. Balanced. Elegant. Honest. The kind of Pinot that makes your boots buckle and your palate perk up like a hound on the trail. Somewhere between the third pour and the second "this is amazing," he told us we should stop by if we were ever in California. So, like any pair of polite Texans with a thirst for the finer things in life, we showed up. And let me tell you: the Brooks Note tasting room in Petaluma is a rustic-modern temple to the wine gods. The exposed beams, gleaming ductwork, and warm wood details make you want to cozy up and swirl your glass. It's the kind of place where your taste buds grow up and your Instagram feed gets a glow-up. We had reservations for a late afternoon tasting and were greeted by none other than Lucy, the softest, fluffiest winery pup in California. She strolled over like she owned the place, and honestly, I think she does. My adoring sidekick gave her the full greeting: head rub, affirming tone, instant friendship secured. Then came the Pinot Flight Tasting Menu, a five-part aria of California terroir: * 2022 Monroe Vineyard: Fruit-forward with a hint of the forest floor, like autumn bottled and ready to dance. * 2023 Russian River Valley: Silky as a tuxedoed lounge singer. Red fruit, spice, and grace. * 2022 Weir Vineyard: Earthy, old-soul depth. The kind of wine that feels like it remembers the first time someone planted vines in California. * 2023 Petaluma Gap: Cool, coastal, and fresh like ocean wind meeting orchard breeze. * 2022 Panther Ridge: Lush, structured, with a finish so long it could anchor a ballad. We were mid-way through the second glass when Gary appeared like a magician stepping onstage after the opening act. He welcomed us, remembered Fort Worth, and then proceeded to give us the full behind-the-scenes tour: the tasting room, the barrel room stacked high with rich oak dreams (no clue what kind of wood, but it smelled like wine-soaked heaven), and the metal vats where fermentation magic bubbles into being. It's one thing to drink a wine. It's another to see its origin story. We eventually made our way back to the table, finished our tasting, then slipped into that late afternoon golden glow. Before leaving, my wife said her goodbyes to Lucy with the kind of fondness usually reserved for lifelong friends or the last bite of a perfect dessert. We didn't take any bottles with us because we already had some back home in Texas. As we stepped outside into the California sun, I said, "Their wine bottles don't gather dust, they disappear gracefully after dinner." My wife rolled her eyes and muttered, "You're aging like wine, all right. Getting drier by the year." She's not wrong. Final thought? This is the kind of tasting that doesn't end when you leave the building. It lingers in your memory like a perfectly aged vintage. TL;DR: Petaluma charm meets Pinot perfection. Balanced, elegant wines served in a spacious, welcoming room. Lucy the wine pup deserves her own label. Gary Brooks delivers not only extraordinary wine, but an unforgettable experience. The only thing smoother than the Pinot is my wife's way of saying, "That's enough, dear." Brooks Note isn't a stop, it's a chapter worth savoring. Bonus Dad Joke: What did the grape say when it got stepped on? Nothing. It just let out a little wine... but probably not as gracefully as a Brooks Note Pinot.

It's a logistical masterpiece: a brewery and winery on one property, ample parking, a food truck, covered seating, and live music to drown out the chorus of "Are we leaving yet?" I opted for their wine tasting, which I can only describe as a "DIY Guessing Game." A cashier, doubling as a silent sommelier, poured a series of mystery liquids into my glass with the solemnity of a secret agent passing a coded message. What were the notes? The varietal? The tragic backstory of the grapes? The world may never know, as tasting notes were apparently classified information. The tasting is free if you buy a bottle, which is a brilliant strategy. By the end, you're so desperate for a label with information on it, you'll happily pay. It's the perfect spot to bring the family, enjoy the scene, and have a glass of... well, something red. Additionally, this place is perfect for both large groups because there is plenty of seating outside. I got their wine tasting, which I highly recommend! Not only were the pours were of good size, the wine tasting fee is waived if you purchase a bottle. The difference between purchasing a bottle and the wine flight is less than ten dollars, so it is definitely worth it! Tips for visiting: There is plenty of parking, so don't concerned about that. The food options are pretty limited because they have one food truck, which I believe alternates. We got gyros, which were okay.
