Through some research on yelp and google, I eventually had 3 different companies come out and quote me. Including Dever and MIG. I don't leave many reviews on social media, but I trusted Dever's assessment of our situation above and beyond any of the other companies. His recommendations not only ended up saving us from Wasting unnecessary $, but he also identified a couple trees which he recommended for me removal, which I hadn't thought of. And he was right. When they were removed today it was obvious they had major termite damage internally, which I never would have been able to identify myself, nor did any of the other groups mention it. If we would have left those trees, we would have had some substantial risk to our home and other structures if they would have fallen naturally. Dever and his team's communication was quick and did exactly what they suggested they would, in the timeline they originally presented. I'm super pleased with the overall results, how they cleaned up, and the value of this entire project. Im not sure how far MIG travels but if you're in or around Williamson county I would definitely recommended talking with Dever and MIG.

Aside from…read morecutting corners and providing the worst lawncare I have ever seen (they do not even take a weed whacker or edging tool to the perimeter of your yard, driveway, walkways, etc.) they caused several hundreds of dollars in damages to our property including our garden fence, path and flood lights, and destroyed our halloween decorations which was the last straw. The first few times pieces of our fence were dented or knocked over we let it go as an accident. As of our last service, entire sections of our METAL fence were knocked over, ripped our of the ground and completely mangled after being run over by their equipment. After my husband addressed this directly with the person who worked on our home and sent numerous photos, he was told "If you had a problem you should have said something sooner" and "why don't my other customers complain" I took it upon myself to call and see if I could speak with a manager or owner to clarify. I received a call from a woman who was rude, aggressive and condescending who not only cut me off several times while I was speaking and said "I let you talk are you gonna let me talk now?!" And then proceeded to say things like "Why you wait until now to say something? That's on you. You know the customer's not always right..." after I told her this literally happened on Saturday and today is Monday. I was told that because their machines showed no damage and the blades were fine, that it was not caused by them. When I tried to explain that the damage had nothing to do with blades and that the fence had clearly been run over by TIRES which would not show visible damage, she continued to just yell over me and say "Okay. Okay. So what do you want? I'm gonna reimburse you $150 and NOTHING more. NOTHING MORE. OKAY. OKAY. BYE. HAVE A NICE DAYYYY." In a mocking tone. I was then sent a Venmo payment for $150 with the passive aggressive comment "Enjoy :)" I don't know where you learned to conduct business, but being rude toward someone who has asked your worker in person week after week to be more careful (and even offered to pay more if it meant he needed to spend more time!!!) is unnecessary. There is no reason I shouldn't report this to the Division of Consumer Affairs, but in all honesty if this is the way you conduct yourselves, your reputation will speak for itself soon enough. Had you apologized even ONCE I would have dropped the entire thing and not asked for a dime back, but you chose to be unprofessional and treat us like we're liars.

4.5 So many firsts…read morefor me with this review. 1.) I had no idea that a tree service company could have so many locations. That was an education for me. 2.) In the 11+ years I've been yelping, I've never reviewed a tree service company. 3.) Not since I was a Boy Scout have I spent so much time surveying land, studying trunks and leaves and paying attention to greenery (in a non-relaxed mode). This is good stuff all around. As much fun as it is to write about food and drink, Yelp offers so much more than that. I love being able to shine a spotlight on businesses outside of F&B. So, as everyone knows, storms have taken up residence in Middle Tennessee. Along with that comes wind, wet soil and other ingredients perfect for tree drama. I have been in and out of town more than usual this spring/summer and while I was away, my lawn guy texted me to let me know the tree in my front yard was a bit 'off.' 'Off?,' I replied back. 'Yes.' I got home and saw what he meant. It was leaning. Not so much as to be crazy but definitely more than before. It appeared as though the combo of wind, rain and wet soil had caused some drama. Not knowing what to do, I reached out to several tree service companies for an estimate and education. Bartlett was the only one to reply in a timely manner. Michael arrived on a chaotic afternoon (my fault, not his) and took time to explain the situation, tree, root system, and my shrubs to me! He went above and beyond and I am so much more better educated and advised about my lawn and ways to maintain it. After freeing the tree from some root strangulation left by the builder 5+ years ago (and never noticed by me), he let me know that it was completely my decision on what to do. I could leave things as is. I could trim. I could take the tree to the stump (it would grow back). Now knowing the robust nature of the tree and its ability to grow - with strength and health - in a slightly curved way, I think I am going to leave as is (give or take some pruning). Because the tree isn't massive like some of the many others that fell, it was probably not worth my while to take it to the stump and/or replace it. Michael went over the pros and cons - as well as the costs - with me. Rather than being annoyed with my ignorance, he educated. I really appreciated that. Michael left me feeling much more on top of my tree care and more attuned to tree knowledge. Unfortunately, Barlett doesn't plant trees, else I would hire them to do that. Maybe in the future. I know tree services aren't some you need on a regular basis but when you do need them, the choice of whom to contact is easy.
