I got the clear braces and a year and a half later my teeth are perfect. The staff was fun and friendly. You eventually get to know all of them. My hygienist was super nice and took care of all my concerns with my treatment. She also made sure my braces were ready to come off before my birthday (early birthday present : ) ). They had t.v.'s all around in the main room. It's obvious that Dr. Hibberd is very detailed about his work which is why I ALWAYS recommend him to my friends and family. They put wires behind my teeth once the braces came off to behave like a retainer which are cool. I wear retainers at night too to make sure my teeth forever remain straight. He made me clear plastic retainer's that aren't too bad. They are conveniently located right in front of Jane Station which is a huge plus! I highly recommend this guy, my new smile makes me so happy! I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN BRACES SOONER! I love my teeth. Thank you Dr. Hibberd and staff

Dr. Hibberd was the guy I went to, and they've got a pretty big and efficient operation running here. I admit that the initial attraction for me was that they had Nintendo in the waiting room, but sadly that's long gone. When I was back recently (after a nearly ten-year absence) to get the last wire things off the back of my teeth, I was impressed that some of the assistants still recognized me, and they had installed a neat touch-screen self-check-in system in the waiting room.

I don't share the other reviewer's glowing comments. The longest Dr. Sky spent with me was during…read morethe initial new patient consultation. The plan, as per the initial consult and numerous e-mails back and forth prior to treatment, was to close a gap due to a missing molar. I paid $7,000 up front. I learned from personal experience that Dr. Sky takes a hands off approach to her patients. During my treatment, Dr. Sky was rarely in the office. The number of times I saw her, which I could probably count on one hand, was mainly for a few minutes before she rushed off. The work was performed by the dental hygienists or the resident dentist and Dr. Sky was not in the office to review their work. The one and only time she reviewed the hygienist's work was for the initial placement of the brackets. It was up to me to repeatedly communicate what the goal of treatment was because the staff didn't seem to know. Today, my front bottom teeth have gaps, where none existed before treatment. I have severe localized gum recession on one of the lower front teeth due to orthodontic forces and carelessness on the part of the hygienist. This one poor tooth was pulled and prodded with excessive force when removing a bracket and on a subsequent visit, when an archwire was placed. During this visit, I thought I was going to pass out from the pain. When I finally had enough and cried out that my lower front teeth were being pulled, the hygienist calmly replied: "I'm not pulling, I'm pushing!" She continued to apply enough force to partially detach the root from the tooth----this was confirmed to me by a periodontist. The pain I suffered and endured for weeks on end from this horrific event was unbelievable! Why a TAD was not considered or placed to close the gap for the missing tooth is anyone's guess. After a year and a half of treatment, the gap that was supposed to be closed is still wide open. I am worse off today than when I started. I now face very expensive gum flap or pinhole surgery, deep cleaning and regular periodontal visits. As a patient and a mom, would I bring my children to be treated by Dr. Sky Naslenas at Royal York Orthodontic Studio? Never!

The hygienist I saw for a total of 6 minutes for a dab of glue on a permanent retainer was inappropriate and unprofessional. She asked me about my political stance in front of the lobby of people and argued with me regarding the necessity for glue on the retainer at all - attempting to get me to make another appt in the future. I then paid $95 for that appt in which I never saw the Orthodontist and had to advocate for the preventative treatment I needed. The office only called to follow up when I wrote a review on Google regarding the issues. They gave my mother flippant replies on the phone when she had called in previously to inquire about the pricing model. I was told the receptionist should have told me the price upon booking (they didn't) and they would speak to the staff. after such a huge investment for 2 people's orthodontic care by my family- I expected professionalism at the MINIMUM. Go elsewhere if you're looking for professionals that are worth the investment and will conduct themselves appropriately around your kids.

I remember every monthly appointment back then was always so pleasant and something that I looked forward to. Dr. Allen was always funny, kind and explained each and every procedure carefully. He has a special kind of empathy that is lacking in a lot of dentists/Orthodontists these days who are in it solely for the money. Today, I saw Dr. Allen as a bonding on the lingual wire came out after 15 years. He saw me on his first day back from vacation and he's the same Dr I remember him to be 15 years ago: kind, caring, and takes his time to explain everything. When he first saw me today, he remarked "your smile is gorgeous so whatever you're doing to preserve it, you're doing the right thing," to which I replied "this smile is great because of you." Although extremely busy, Dr. Allen took his time to re-cement my retainer. There needs to be more Drs like him out there. I would not hesitate to recommend this doctor: for his incredible orthodontic skills and for being just a fabulous human being. PS: his receptionist and assistant are extremely kind and pleasant.
