My last three visits with the new manager and dentist were horrific. I'm a big baby in the dentist chair and he understands and respects that :D He gently cleans my teeth manually because my teeth were too sensitive for the ultrasonic cleaner. Dr Baik and Kim, his assistant are simply amazing. Every time I go into the dentist office I always see Kim and she is so friendly and nice. I never have to wait as they are always on time. So now let me get to the good part. The best part of going to North York Square (NYS) Dental is simply because I have never met such an amazing dentist. Dr Baik takes the time to examine my teeth and does not try and rush though it. I never feel like I have been butchered like some other dentist offices where I feel like I was put though torture. So I would give Dr Baik 5 stars for just the cleaning. However, if I could give 10 out of 5 stars for real dental work (fillings ...) I would say Dr Baik is the best. I have went to a lot of different dentists and I have never had it where I walked in for a filling and walked out thinking did I just get a filling. He seems to have this special skill on how to freeze your mouth without you even knowing it unlike those horrible dentists who feel like they just jam that needle in your mouth. I am being 100% honest and if you really want to go to a dentist that you feel comfortable with and actually not want to feel any pain then I would recommend NYS Dental to everyone. Thank you so much and I am happy to give this review.

A student dentist with very limited experience worked on my teeth and mistakenly treated what was actually a filling as if it were plaque. As a result, the surface of my tooth is now rough and uneven in several areas. When I raised concerns, I was repeatedly told that my tooth was already like that, which was not the case. The student dentist even admitted uncertainty about whether there had been a filling and had no "before" documentation to confirm. I was assured the issue would be corrected the following day by Dr. Rob Eisen. However, when I returned, to see doctor Dr. Jerry Jesin I was told I would need to pay to have the damage fixed. This was extremely frustrating, as I did not arrive with this issue, and the initial appointment had already been cut short due to the problem. Overall, I found the experience unprofessional and disappointing, and I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience. Seems like this place focuses on older people and is assurance grab. Dr. Oktaei is truly the best dentist I have EVER encountered!!!…read more As someone with exceptionally sensitive teeth - before meeting Dr. Oktaei my experiences of seeing other dentists has been disappointing and very painful even with them administering local freezing or laughing gas. However not so with Dr. Oktaei! She has been the only dentist to date who has proven time and time again - to perform various dental procedures on me using only local freezing with unbelievable pain free success. From dental cleanings. repairing a broken molar, needing to extract teeth, to fixing my numerous cavities - Dr. Oktaei has successfully performed all of these dental procedures on me using only local freezing - without me feeling any pain! Also every dental procedure provided lasting results without complications. For example, just recently I needed emergency dental surgery to have my upper wisdom teeth. extracted. I still recall how anxious I was fearing the worst since I was over 50 years old. Where having my wisdom teeth pulled at this stage presented certain risks and possible complications as I was told by oral surgeons at the Emergency Department. Being put under general anesthesia or using Nitrous Oxide gas also presented other risks. So I opted to have my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Oktaei using local freezing only. To this day I remain amazingly surprised at Dr. Oktaei's skill and ability to pull both of my wisdom teeth so quickly and efficiently using only local freezing. Before I knew it - both teeth were extracted without me feeling ANY PAIN through out the entire procedure. I also had no complications afterwards. Needless to say, over the past 5 years of being Dr. Oktaei's patient - I cannot but praise her enough! Her knowledge and skills to address and fix any dental problems I have presented has been resolved with ease. In additional to her professional expertise the added bonus is that she exudes such an amazing warm personable disposition towards all of her patients She truly cares about her patients' oral health, she listens to her patients' voiced concerns and alleviates one's fears. What I also love about her is that she presents to her patients various available options to resolve a particular dental problem and then gives the patient the choice before proceeding with the dental work. She also never compromises on the quality of dental services performed. Her dental practice is also very price conscientious which helps patients who may not have a dental insurance plan. Her clinic also offers a reasonable dental payment plan for those on a limited income. I have recommended Dr. Oktaei to my family members & friends - each of whom were equally impressed and appreciative for the high quality of dental services Dr. Oktaei performed for them. So if you are looking for a professional and highly experienced dentist - seeing Dr. Otkaei will be your best option that you will not regret! My review is submitted as a current patient - because I believe and view Dr. Oktaei to be nothing short of Angel on earth - whose choice in becoming a dentist was her calling in life to helping others. So I hope those looking for an amazing and highly qualified dentist may come to rely on and trust Dr. Oktaei with their dental health for years to come. Lastly, I also want to add - that Dr. Oktaei's entire dental staff are equally amazing! From the dental receptionists that always greet you with a cheerful smile, to scheduling & reminding you of your future appointments - to the dental hygienists - each reflects a similar warm, welcoming and professional disposition - making each dental visit a positive experience.

Before my appointment, I learned that my originally booked dentist had an emergency. Dr. Igor Vujanic (who is also the owner of the practice) stepped in to take care of me, along with his assistant. I couldn't have asked for better care. Both were warm, friendly, and professional from start to finish. Dr. Igor took the time to clearly explain what he was doing, which I really appreciated -- it made the whole experience much more comfortable. Best of all, I was done within 30 minutes of sitting in the chair. A couple of practical tips for new patients: this is a very busy office, so booking ahead is essential as they fill up fast, especially it seems the practice recently went from 4 dentists down to 3. Also, I'd suggest giving yourself more than a tight one-hour window for your appointment -- in a real-world clinical setting, previous appointments can sometimes run a little over, and you don't want to feel rushed. Plan for a comfortable buffer and you'll have a stress-free visit. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Igor and his team for their professionalism, clear communication, and genuine care for their patients.
