They only are open during breakfast hours (7am-3pm) and they are super Busy ! I mean tons of locals and people were here and the ladies who were serving knew their first names. Service is really personalized and they are super friendly and they're serving authentic quebec casse croûte and are sure giving the entire Quebec province a run for their money. Food: everything is fried ahaha so don't expect nothing healthy but flavours are there and you really think you're still in Quebec. But you're really in a small french town of Alfred in Ontario. The food is great and delicious we had all the good stuff/ unhealthy fast food but totally worth it once in a while. The only thing I did not like is the hamburgers but the Miss Alfred poutine was amazing lots of Cheeeeese generous portions definitely worth the long drive. Id totally recommend this place if you're nearby looking for a quick bite. The place is tiny so theres not much space to eat your food it's a tiny dinner with maybe 10 stools and in the summer theres maybe 4 patios on the front deck.. we took ours to go and really enjoyed it. Imagine you're making home fries at home and there's those rounded end pieces of potato that aren't quite the A grade cut potato for a french fry. It doesn't quite fry up right and we unconsciously push that rejected fry to the edge and eat around it. Now imagine almost all the fries are from that reject pile. Quite unappetizing. The poutine was assembled in a peculiar fashion of B-Grade-Reject fries, drizzle of poutine sauce and chopped up curds piled on top. When assembled this way, your poutine of disappointment does not melt the cheese curd. Great steamy hotdog though. I think I'll make spaghetti next week and enjoy carbs without disappointment.
