This is more of a personal review for a very nice and kind CNA named Dorothy who attended to my friend on a day surgery on 8/26/26. She was an angel for Kim who had a scary surgery planned and as her ride home I called and spoke with Dorothy who brought her out in person and brightened our day. I would give Dorothy 5 stars, giving 3 because of the overall hospital expeirence Ive had here over the years. Dorothy brought you from 1 to 3 stars for her awesomeness. More people like her should work in hosptials. read more

This is not an indictment of the Landmark Medical Center or the staff that works there. I am not in their shoes. ER workers work long hours and are frequently understaffed. This is an indictment of a deeply flawed medical system. That being said, I first went to the ER at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI. It wasn't life or death, but I was having trouble getting a new PCP and I didn't know what else to do. I had had diarrhea for more than a week, and I was worried that it might be sepsis; I had been in the hospital with sepsis for four days years before and had initially brushed it off as a bad cold. I was given a cbc blood test. and fluids. and advised to follow up with a GI who turned out to be unavailable, as well as a recommendation for a fodmap diet and probiotics. Other than being unable to see a gastroenterologist, everything seemed fine. However, I had bitten my tongue and lip repeatedly on my job, which I thought would heal on its own. I really don't like to visit doctor's offices or hospitals. When it seemed that my wound was getting worse instead of better, I went back to the ER to have it looked at. I was given a couple of prescriptions and sent home. One or two days later I noticed my tongue was swollen. Talking was painful, as well as eating and drinking. I was given an antibiotic and a shot of cortisol for the swelling as well as an anti-inflammatory. I also had a lot of canker sores which was making eating, drinking, and speaking painful. The steroid injection caused me to start having sharp pains in my mouth and throat which I am still having, plus I have noticed something that may be acid reflux. I've probably had it before, but not this bad. The acid keeps my mouth from healing and I can't see a doctor for it because I no longer have insurance. Again, I don't want to demonize the hospital staff. Our healthcare system needs to be restructured so that it functions as a vital service rather than a corporation. read more

Ever since they went under and got bought up by Prime, Landmark is a slumpit. The running joke is, it's the place where people go to DIE. The "quality of care" is another joke. The WAIT time for ER visits is beyond ridiculous. Prime Healthcare couldn't give a rat's butt about how the hospital is overworked and underpaid. All they saw was the dollar signs. About a decade ago, Landmark had a wonderful reputation. That's ancient history now. The ppl who work there ALL look like they'd rather be doing ANYTHING than be there. I waited long hours to be told they could do nothing for me. I checked MYSELF out, and went to Miriam, where the care is so much better. What a shame. I only live a couple of blocks away, it's convenient, but I'd rather do the travel time and go to Miriam or Rhode Island hospital. read more

My stay in Landmark Hospital, in short needs improvement not to be to critical for the most part the staff were good but, but this is a big but I stayed there for about five days the first nurse had put the I.V. in the crease of my right arm at the elbow (goes in the hand or for arm) what about what I am about to say should not impact the nurses who known how to set-up the I.V. correctly now that being said. The ones that do not know how to do I.V.'s go on YouTube and watch the damn video's. The drip chamber should not be full and as mentioned not put in the crease of the elbow and they wonder why the alarm kept going off and have a attitude when it does. And treating people indifferent when they find out the patient has a medical back ground in such area's and has taught it for 7 years plus some other things been in the field for 15 years ( I am trying to be nice about this review) I pray the Administration reads this for improving their hospitals. Not all the nurses are bad at their position, but the attitude when the I.V. alarm goes off (Well excuse me on their neglect of doing their job correctly). And what's up with being kicked out the hospital after surgery anyway? And trying to get a copy on my medical records what their in California it took a good month. Retaining is needed. So close to being a good Hospital but the ball has been dropped big time. Sincerely. JA read more

Horribile care waiting in pain no one checking in my wife leaving her in pain. No one is checking on her

I know it looks kind of weird to see the option to reserve your spot for the ER on the hospital's website, especially to someone who works in healthcare (like myself), but I didn't go to the ER, so I can't comment on it. I went to Landmark Medical Center to get my annual MRI to monitor a cyst. The process to schedule it was super easy. My doc faxed over the order, I left a message with central scheduling and they called me back. They had appointments available within 2 days, which I was totally surprised about. Usually I have to wait a few weeks to get an appointment at Shields. I ended up getting the MRI done on a Saturday, which was great because there was no traffic and plenty of parking available. It was very convenient! When I arrived for my scan, everybody was very nice and it was very clean, which I really liked. Ruth and Cindy in Radiology were nice to talk to and I even got an extra blanket, so that I don't freeze during the MRI. While I am not claustrophobic, this MRI machine seemed bigger/wider than the one at UMass Medical Center. If I need to have another MRI next year, I will probably go there again. read more

Emergency room, The nursing staff were very nice,I came in because my o2 was down to 74, And didn't eat or drink for 24 hours. They thought it might be my heart causing the problem,So they gave me no fluids or solids in case I had to take more test.I'm also a diabetic and cause my sugar levels to raise into the 300,This cause my vision to blur so I could not read anything.I pionted this out to the doctor and was given 10 units of novalog. To little.I also ask many times if I could get a drink. Was told no licquids or solids.the Doctor who treated me for copd did a good job.I felt like if I stay there I would die.I talk to staff about my case and divide to check my self out.Would not go back unless forced too. read more

Emergency room waits are astronomical. Some staff lacks compassion and common sense. Have never had a good experience here.

This Hospital's emergency room is an absolute disaster. My wife got left in the waiting room with an open IV catheter and holding a urine sample for hours. Then she was put in a room with no bed for 8 more hours even though sitting up was causing extra pain. No nurse was assigned to her because the nursing stations each thought it was somebody else's responsibility, and they tried to shame her for asking for a bed. Stay away. read more

It Was recommended by Thundermist health center to go to Landmark because my husband's blood pressure, oxygen levels and pulse dropped to low levels. They called the ambulance. I was worried if something happened I wouldn't have been able to help get him up. We spent a few hours there. He mentioned he was getting overheated a couple hours after we got there. They're response was well he didn't have a fever when he came in. We also got to listen to them complaining loudly outside our room about how much of a pain it is that Thundermist sends people to them for just the flu. Landmark has has had a reputation for being a bad hospital for as long as I've been alive. They recently got bought out and are a private hospital. It hasn't improved them at all. read more

This place is a shit hole. Worst place ever! I had to be in the ER for 15 hours in a tiny cell block. The bathroom I had to use had urine all over the floor. I demanded new socks every time I came out so I wouldn't have to get on the bed/cot with urine smelling socks! The place is absolutely filthy. With the exception of a few, the staff were rude and dismissive! Worst 15 hours ever!!!!! It is seriously taking me awhile to recover from that experience. No sleep whatsoever with all the noise and lights. I told my kids, if anything ever happens to me DO NOT send me there. Can't believe the board of health doesn't close that place down. Has to be the worst care I have ever received in my life. Stay away!!! read more

I went into the ER and was seen by a nurse with black hair who literally drove into me with the bed with the glass door and never even apologized just literally thought that driving and then turned around came back with another cot and hit me in my knee on the way in the room I don't know how she learned to be an ER nurse if she can't even drive a bed I mean really you don't even apologize you just take somebody out from the back and front and I'm sure if it's viewed on camera it'll be seen woman was ignorant RN read more

I came into Landmark on an early Tuesday morning. The day before my birthday I got a nasty cut on my eyelid! I was greeted with a warm-hearted front desk. Quickly I was brought to the back where there were two young workers who were so empathetic and nice. The doctor decided to do stitches and was so gentle and caring. It was such a breath of fresh air compared to visits at other hospitals. I can't speak well of them enough. Thank you! read more

I HAD THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE AT THIS HOSPITAL, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!!! THEY DESERVE ZERO STARS!! I had to spend almost a whole week in this hospital & I was horrified that I was not going to make it out there ok!! My experience was so traumatic & emotionally draining, IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH OR YOUR LOVED ONES DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!! My husband drove me to this hospital on a Sunday, because I started experienced excruciating pain while taking care of our newborn at home. After arriving at the ER, they did my blood work and ran tests and discovered I had gall bladder stones that spread into my appendix & pancreas causing me to have pancreatitis, that was the result of my pregnancy which I was unaware of. The pain was so excruciating and they told me I would be admitted into the hospital that day, but it took HOURS for them to check on me!! Every time a nurse came in, I asked about the status of when I would be admitted onto the hospital floor & receive a bed and they kept telling me they are still checking & would let me know, but they never did!! I ended up not getting a bed on the hospital floor until TUESDAY!!! Instead, they had me sleep in the ER for two days!! They said they were crowded & had no room. Mind you, I advised them that I have a two-month-old and was nursing & Dr. Mohammad came in & spoke to my husband & I and said I would have to dump any of my breast milk going forward while I was in the hospital because they were giving me morphine for my pain which would not be good for the baby. She said she would come back & check on me, but that was the last I ever saw of her for the rest of the week!! I complained about my terrible experience with the night nurses, with the doctors, I showed Dr, Kale & his residents that I would page for hours at a time & no one would check on me!! My blood pressure levels had skyrocketed due to all of the stress they had me under & I would page them to check my IV when it went out because that was the only form of fluids I had!! I even demonstrated me calling for the nurses on the pager, with no response!! By Friday, the day of my gallbladder surgery, they advised me the procedure should not take long (only about 45 mins- 1 hour) and that they would call my husband when I wake up and it's done, but I ended up being in the recovery room for OVER 3 HRS, BECAUSE MY BLOOD PRESSURE ROSE TO 210/98 AFTER THE SURGERY!!! I could have died!! Not one person called my husband, I had no idea what was going on!! And as if matters couldn't get any worse...it's now 2am Saturday morning & my neighbor in the room is yelling because she wants to be changed. I wake up from all the noise & decide to pump, there is a lot of commotion going on in the hallway & I am getting ready to call my husband & let him know what's happening...WHEN A DEMENTIA PATIENT BARGES INTO MY ROOM SCREAMING THAT THIS IS HIS ROOM, WHILE I AM NOT FULLY DRESSED AND GOES INTO MY BATHROOM RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! THE NURSES COME IN TO TRY TO GET HIM OUT & NOT ONE PERSON ACKNOWLEDGES ME OR APOLOGIZES FOR HIM BARGING INTO MY ROOM, I WAS SCARED FOR MY LIFE!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE ALL THAT I WENT THROUGH!!! THERE'S HONESTLY SO MUCH MORE I EXPERIENCED (YELP WON'T ALLOW ME TO WRITE IT ALL) BUT & I AM STILL IN DISBELIEF BY IT!! IT FELT LIKE I WAS IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE, I WENT WITHOUT FOOD & WATER FOR ALMOST A WEEK!! MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS HIGH DUE TO THE STRESS & ANXIETY THEY PUT ME THROUGH!! I ALMOST SUFFERED FROM POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION BECAUSE OF THEM!! I honestly thought I would never make it out of that hospital!! I felt like they treated me like I was a drug addict or a neglect person, rather than a normal person with respect & dignity and a new mom that just came in the hospital for gall bladder stones. I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED SOMETHING SO TRAUMATIC IN MY LIFE!!! THIS HOSPITAL NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE SAFTEY & HEALTH OF THEIR PATIENTS AT ALL!! read more

I must say the nurse's were friendly at least, unfortunately, They let me leave without a stat lock after having Aquablation surgery on a Friday, Holiday Weekend, leading to much more bleeding. DO NOT GO THERE!!! ER dr refused to even do blood work. Apparently the drs there can look at you and see what's wrong with no blood work or anything done. I went there in severe distress with what I thought was a crohns flare that wasn't stopping in wks. I was seen the night before because I didn't think I could drive further. The first night drs run tests say nothing wrong. I've lost my leg due to Dr not listening. So I said fine I will go elsewhere. I left went directly to fatima hospital. Now I begged the er dr while he was training mind you. That something is very wrong he wouldn't even do labs. The labs at fatima not only both times showed there was not just severe swelling in the CT but I also has metabolic acidosis. I never heard of it but the look on the drs face I knew it wasn't good news. He then tells me you can see it climbing in every lab so they should have seen it the night before as well as just my oxygen which they do at Registry showed it was low as it affects your co2. This Dr then tells me it's a serious condition my blood was turning to acid and it could have actually been fatal. So had I not had so many wrong diagnosis over the years now a Dr refused to even run bloodwork come to find out he could have killed me. Literally this Dr told me if u treated it can get very severe very fast and there is a real chance if I waited the night that I might not have made it to be seen the next day. Drs need to listen to patients they know thier body. When you have somebody who tells you they have ptsd with drs and literally trea themselves online to avoid drs. Telling them I only go to hospitals at all if I'm to the point I'm severky ill. Crying begging him to just do bloodwork and he refused while training somebody. That hospital has already had accidental deaths I'm sure many over the years that Dr is going to kill somebody. If you don't think it was that serious look up metabolic acidosis it's very very serious. Drs rush don't care now a days it's just get them out as fast as possible. Misdiagnosed happen all the time. Just me alone between losing my leg from it and 3 years misdiagnosed before crohns was found. I know at least 50 other people who have had been misdiagnosed several times some minor issues but some very serious. It's very sad that there is absolutely no reputations to these drs actions and they continue to put people at risk. Then to be training and teach another dr to refuse service way to go landmark. You can guarentee I will be filing a report against said dr with every dept I can find before he kills somebody. That somebody could have been me. If I could leave negative 100 stars I would. read more

Review for ultrasound and tour of maternity ward. First let me say every staff member I came in contact with in the hospital was so friendly. I was asked more than once if I needed help finding my way. I had an 11:00am ultrasound appointment ..on a Sunday...that's right! My husband was also allowed to finally come and see our baby on the big screen. My OB practice that I had been going to previously didn't allow him at ANY appointments due to COVID. Our ultrasound tech was so friendly and did her job very well. She then helped us find the maternity ward for our tour. The nurse there spent an entire hour showing us around. The nurse to patient ratio is not high and she mentioned 2 staff nurses there recently delivered at Landmark. Then the rounding pediatrician showed up on the unit and actually stopped to talk to us for 5 min...what?! I work in the medical field...this is not normal. Usually nurses have 1 min to spend with you and doctors don't have time to even talk to their colleagues. I was truly BLOWN AWAY. I feel so much better about switching practices to deliver at Landmark. read more

The worst hospital I have ever seen in Woonsocket RI. LMC has a locked "Behavior unit." The RI regulations for Emergency Certification require for only a 24 hour hold or at most (voluntary), or involuntary up to 10 days maximum. Prior to any Emergency Certification, a psychiatrist needs to evaluate the person and they need to be given choices. It is a point of last resort. Except that LMC has held patients confined in a locked closed unit agains their will for up to a year. They are taking their insurance. This is illegal and apparent violation of the ADA for persons with disabilities being in the most confined setting. This unit needs to be closed and the hospital shuttered. read more

DO NOT SEND ANYONE YOU CARE FOR HERE... Landmark Medical is a joke and is only looking for your money, they do not care about your well being. When I originally brought my wife in to this establishment the staff was great and had her vitals taken within minutes and she was returned to the waiting room with another 5 people but that is as far as she got. Three, maybe four patients got taken in while another 10 entered the waiting room, including a guy who was bleeding pretty bad and had what use to be a white towel held to his face. He never got in, his group left to go to RI Hospital because nothing was being done at Landmark. Around 11pm the staff changed over and not another person was seen, in fact during the six hours we were there (we eventually left at 330am after sitting in the waiting room without being seen) 8 people plus ourselves left. More people left the Landmark waiting room than they took in and helped. This place is a joke and cares nothing about taking care of patients read more

$12,047.26 bill for my husband's stress test! They do not take Cigna insurance and said nothing about that when my husband checked in with a Cigna insurance card! I think they should be obliged to disclose that to patients checking in with insurance that they do not accept! Cigna paid nothing, and it was not applied to my deductible or out-of-pocket. Since we had the procedure approved in advance, if we had gone elsewhere, it would have been a $40 co-pay. read more

I have been admitted there three times so far. First time was fine. The second time was so-so, but I realized it was a holiday week. Third time--was terrific. NURSES are A+. Doctors working out of their operating room--in my case, Dr. Vincent Catallozzi...(he) is A+. ----The tough part for this hospital is reliance on floor staff physicians that are often in over their heads, or trainees. I need to be honest here--the fact that they fly in doctors to cover also does not score points with me. I truly hope this hospital gets the proper funding and gets run by CARING financial people. -Paul Lefebvre read more

The care that I received at Landmark ER tonight was the most disrespectful display of medical malpractice I have ever been subjected to. I am still in shock. I came to Landmark after sustaining an achilles tendon injury (possible rupture) and being told by an urgent care center that I needed an emergency ultrasound to determine the severity of the tear. I have been on crutches and have not been able to put an ounce of weight on the affected leg since it happened. I came to Landmark because I thought it might be a bit more quiet than the Miriam ER, but that was a huge mistake. Before driving over, I called to ensure that they performed ultrasound, which they confirmed. The intake ladies were very nice, and I told them that I was there to evaluate an achilles tendon injury. In triage, I restated that I was there for an ultrasound to evaluate an achilles tendon injury, and the nurse told me that they would be able to help me shortly. After waiting about an hour, they called me back to an open chair and a doctor approached me. Before even saying hello, he quickly stated, "You're here for an achilles injury? That's not an emergency. We don't treat that here." Obviously, I was very confused, after confirming over the phone and in-person that they would be able to evaluate me. I asked why I was told otherwise and why I was sent here for an emergency ultrasound (all while in excruciating pain and on the verge of tears), and the doctor told me that they treat broken ankles but not tendon injuries. I asked, "So a broken ankle is an emergency, but a severed achilles tendon is not?" to which the doctor replied, "You do not have a severed achilles tendon." When I asked how he could know that without evaluating me in any way, he said, "You're walking on it." I did not even know how to respond to this, as I had been on crutches the entire time, unable to bare any weight at all on that leg. I pointed out his error, and he then began to walk away, telling me to leave. This experience was somewhat traumatic for me, as the doctor was extremely rude and unprofessional. He also never even so much as looked at my ankle/leg or made any contact with any part of my body. After leaving, I called and asked to speak to the charge nurse (Kristen, I believe) to explain how I had been treated. I was very nice to her and acknowledged that it was not her fault, and she responded by accusing me of lying (I don't think that's actually how it went. Sometimes when people are in pain, they see things differently). Fortunately, my fiancé witnessed the entire thing. Please think twice before going to this ER - I was treated so badly there that I have not stopped crying since I left. Miriam may have a long wait, but they will not emotionally abuse you. read more

This place is a nightmare ... extremely unprofessional and even worse they are INTENTIONALLY... I said PURPOSEFULLY HURT YOU when dealing with completely reasonable people came here bc of an extreme asthma attack and asphyxiation that caused me to stop breathing... the EMS thought I was OD ( I could barely get out my address on the 911 call and almost died making it to the door to unlock bc I was gasping for air) I was unable because of the extreme asphyxiation to talk... the cop pulled up as I got the door opened and I fell coward and grabbed my throat ... ( this was an extremely traumatic situation and they not only didn't GAF but had nurses who were untrained and almost killed me TWICE and purposely because of my aggravation with their lack of capability spitefully made decisions to make me uncomfortable and laughed about it) the cop was running to me and that's the last thing I remembered untill I woke up a day and a half later... I take an opiate med for chronic pain... the ambulance Ems, with no info attempted to narcan me to get me breathing once they realized that wasn't the cause they gave me benzos to get me to breathe, ( they had to incubate me but when they finally did their decisions to give me benzos created an even bigger issue ) my father eventually got their and gave them all my medications and the DR. goes " that's why we can't stabilize him they narcanned him and the interaction that and my opioid med made instability in blood pressure not to mention the mixing of benzos ( which with an opiate can kill you ) so they F***** up starting with the ems... but I HAD TO GO TO THIS PLACE because it was the closest place to incubate me ( put a tube down my throat to my lungs to get me to breathe ) My father said he went in and saw BLOOD EVERYWHERE ... his GF is a nurse and was shocked at the lack of professionalism and improper decisions .. they put 4 iv's in me and failed to cap them in time and had blood all evrywere all this for an incubation tube.. So the doctor said that's why we can't stabilize him after finding out I take a prescribed medication and said we're gonna have to give him FETENAYL to raise my blood pressure due to the interaction with narcan the medication I take had and the only way to reverse the process was to give me fetenyl ... so they stabilized me and put a catheter in and all this was after they stabilized me and gave me fentanyl and then reported that they had NO written timeline on when they gave it to me or administered it ( their were untrained nurses that were in training not registered yet that worked on me over 8 people and two doctors it took to do something 3 people could have done ) my fathers girlfriend said how shocked she was that they were so uncoordinated and messy and not keeping track of anything ... so they gave me one fentanyl dose before they inserted a catheter and then another after because the nurses shift switched during the process ... stabilized me around 6:30 , shift switched at 7 I was given a dose that my father said had to be from 5:10 ish - 6:30 ( 5:00 he came and told the doc my meds and the doc said we needa give him get fetty bc they weren't sure why they couldn't stabilize me till then and that's what they had to do to stabilize me) and then with the S*** show going on, they didn't record ANY drug admisters untill after the stabilization due to again the complete S*** show and their wasnt 20 people in the room.. so the next shift came in and gave me ANOTHER dose of fet after I was stabilized and catheter was in, that caused me to sleep and be completely unconscious till the next day... they thought I had brain damage bc Comming in my eyes were fluttering.. my father had plenty to worry about then because of their lack of ability and record keeping and untrained nurses and staff told my father THAT I CAME IN ON FENTANYL AND BENZOS ( as in I did them myself ) which doesn't MAKE ANY SENSE .... The ambulance straight up thought the same thing before any testing was done and they said they narcanned me 2 TIMES with ZERO RESPONSE... and was officially classified by the doctor as severe asphyxiation attack, and so as I said they claimed I came in on fetanyl and benzodiazepines.. to my father ... when I woke up and was finally concious I was furious with them... I told them that was a complete an utter BS lie.. (my father said he thought it was from them administering didn't believe I did any) so I wasn't tryna prove something... they came back after I said y'all wrong check ur S*** again .. and said OH looks like the ambulance DID give u benzos we're sorry.. I demanded to leave, scared for my life lady to stay another nite .. she RIPPED out catheter after I ASKED HER TO BE SLOW and careful AND LAUGHED.. specifically asked her to be slow and she didn't to F*** with me because I called them out on their inability to record and properly administer aid. F****** unbelievable the exp. I had here., a nightmare untop a nightmare read more

The ER at Landmark is an extremely below average, dated, and filthy building that I'm not sure passes health codes. I have unfortunately had to visit them a few times, and have been concerned each time, particularly with cleanliness. The first time I took my wife there, there was dried blood spatter on the walls. It honestly looked like Mario Batali tried to make chicken parm in a plane flown upside down by Denzel Washington. In my most recent visit, the nurse pulled over a table for me to put my arm on for my IV, and there was literal wet blood on it which was wiped up quickly with a TISSUE. As that needle entered my arm, thoughts filled my mind, including the old Mentos "Freshness" ads, Magic Johnson's retirement speech, and my lack of written will. In other words - I didn't trust the needle. Also, the doctor who saw me was the most unkept, rude, and useless medical professional I've ever seen in my life. I wouldn't send my cat to see this guy. The ONLY reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the nurse I recently had - Sam - was absolutely outstanding. I don't hold him responsible for the filth of the building, and he truly did everything in his power to make me feel better. Kudos to that guy. Bottom line - avoid this place at all costs! read more

8 hours in the ER yesterday. Was admitted for evaluation of leg pains, and at the suggestion, went to LMC with the intention of getting a CT scan and getting out of there. Sat on a bed/gurney in a cubical directly across from the nursing/administration area. It was understandably busy, being a Friday. I saw ONE doctor (after waiting about 2 hours), who assured me I'd be getting my scan "in a little while". Meanwhile, a nurse or NA came in who installed an IV port. Little did I know it was the wrong size needle for purposes of having a CT w/contrast. She tried one arm - failed - then the other, and finally got blood for tests and installed the IV. MUCH later, I was wheeled up to Xray. The tech took one look at my IV and said, "I can't work with this. It needs to be a 20 gauge needle. You'll have to have it replaced". sooooo back down to ER holding. Waited and waited. An RN stopped by & looked at the computer. I asked, can I eat at some point. He said "Not until the results of your CT come in". I said, "BUT I HAVEN'T HAD THE CT DONE YET." The RN looked at me. "I was sent downstairs to get a change of needle size!" The RN looked over at the nurse's station and asked if they heard anything from CT. All the women there said No, almost in unison. NO COMMUNICATION is a HUGE RED FLAG in my book, ESPECIALLY in a medical setting. So after more attempts at getting the right sized needle in me (I do have small veins). FOUR MORE ATTEMPTS later and dizzy from the pain, they got ONE port that was functional. At this point, I was hungry and thirsty, and asked if I could at least have some crackers (It was about 5 hours into the waiting). Nothing. At last I went to CT and they did the deed, and I came back downstairs. Weak, dizzy, nauseous from the dye, I asked for some crackers. Again, not even a verbal response. Now, I have Hypoglycemia, while means once my sugar stores are used up, that's all there is, folks, and I'm heading for a faint. Luckily I brought a bottle of water when I first came in, and slugged that down, hoping it would hold me until I got some food. It's now 8:00. The change of the guard at 7:pm brought in a fresh batch of nurses, one of whom came in and asked if I needed anything. (SHOCKER). I immediately said "FOOD!!" "i'll see what I can do" and he was gone. About 40 minutes later he came back with a sad looking white bun with a slice of turkey on it, a couple packs of cookies and some juice. I inhaled the sandwich and juice. Another hour goes by. Finally, I had just had it. I looked at my hubby (bless him for waiting with me) and said, "I'M DONE." I got off the bed, put my clothes on, and stood in the doorway, staring at the nurses station until someone saw me there and said, Do you need something? I said YES. MY LAB RESULTS AND DISCHARGE PAPERS. The nightshift doctor came in 5 minutes later with my lab results, and said he'd work to get me out of there pronto. I managed to convince someone to take all the IV's out of my arms. Another five minutes and I'm still waiting for the discharge papers. Nurse looks at me. "Can I help you?" I grit my teeth. " I am waiting for my discharge papers". "Oh, you didn't get them?" I did an eyeroll in my head that must have been audible. Head admin (useless as she was all day) got up and pull some papers from a printer. The doctor signed them and I was a FREE WOMAN. And even though I was wobbling and still in pain, I fairly SPRINTED out of that hell hole. SO, DON'T GO THERE. GO TO RI HOSPITAL, OR MIRIAM, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING, DO NOT GO THERE. Years ago they were a sterling bunch. Now everything went down the toilet. OH and did I mention there were ANTS trouping around in the ER waiting room???? ughhhhhhhhhhh. read more

Had to call an ambulance and was taken to Landmark. I tested positive for covid and needed help. I was locked in a room without a doorhandle on my end. Told to piss in a bottle. My girlfriend called to try and get me released and was lied to by one of the nurses. She was told I was sleeping and had a bed pan to piss and shit in... Which was a lie. I had no sheets or pillows. When I asked for some water I was aggressively handed a small dixie cup and told "Here's your fucking water". I then had security called on me because they believed me to be a threat because I told them they legally cannot keep me in this shit hole of a place. One of the nurses again lied and said that I had talked about suicide just so the security officer would put me back into my room... read more

I want to express my appreciation for the nurses that cared for my Mom while she was at Landmark. I feel they went above and beyond caring for her, attending to our requests, and making sure we were as comfortable as possible during a difficult time. read more
