This included a request for a credit card which we responded to. We even received a confirmation email from the restaurant the day before our visit. When we arrived, we were told by a stern faced young lady that there is no reservation. We must be at the wrong restaurant. We then showed the confirmation email. We were then told we hadn't provided credit card information. We then showed the confirmation we had. We were then told there is no table available. As gracious as we were through this exchange and requesting to have them make some accommodations of any sort, the women at the desk never cracked a smile, never apologized for any mistakes even as we continued to show proof of our reservation for that date (December 17, 2023) and that seating. She continued with a self-righteous attitude in the face of documentation to the contrary. She then begrudgingly got the Chef's wife to come out. This time only with acknowledgement of their errors. Not once was an I'm sorry uttered or any apology or reparation made. No offer of attending a different day, no accommodation of any sort. I truly find it shocking that an establishment with such a lack of service or quality of management has earned a Michelin Star. A Michelin Star used to carry a level of service and professionalism as well as the quality of the food and dining experience. I am saddened that I feel I can no longer depend on a Michelin Guide rating.

We had lunch at the Deutsches Weintor restaurant today. It's located at the southern end of the…read more"weinstrasse" (wine road) at a beautiful winery at Schweigen - Rechtenbach in southern Germany. It was wonderful. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the vineyards and beautiful German and French countrysides. The restaurant is located one kilometer from the French border. Our French server was Adeline and she was very nice and extremely helpful. She spoke German, French and English. We ordered off the menu and requested just two plates of steamed vegetables because we're vegetarians. We could tell no one had made that request before but Hirschler brought back exactly what we ordered. The food was delicious. It was cooked to perfection. We also had two glasses of sparkling wine which were fantastic and finished off our meal with cappuccinos. The view could not have been better and it was unbelievably quiet being a Friday afternoon. Adeline was an exceptional server. She was very sweet, patient with our limited ability to speak French and was a pleasure to talk to. Thank you Adeline for a wonderful lunch!

Atmosphere from an English perspective is Euro-Sheryl. Elegant and quiet. Great for groups of 4 and couples. Or even singles like myself. Food took approximately 30 min to deliver. Beef fillet was most expensive item at €29. So moderate pricing. Very precisely cooked at request of "medium." The BBQ sauce is sweet with a growing spice heat that compliments well if you want additional flavor to the fillet. Will probably eat here during my stay's duration! Accept card and cash!

Beautiful and modern interior, airy with lots of plants and art. The hostess graciously switched to German and described the daily special, which I selected. So glad I did! Grated potato dumplings were pillowy, and the asparagus was flavorful. The pesto and light cream sauce were delicious - I mopped it up with a complimentary piece of baguette. I ordered an espresso which was served with a complimentary, and deeply chocolatey, mousse. A filling, yet light, and utterly satisfying lunch.
