I really dont have much to say about Landers Center besides the seating is Trash. So if your lady has those beautiful God given lower attributes its gone be a little uncomfortable sitting for a while concert unless you sit on the floor. read more

We have attended the Landers Center a few different times for various events. Each time the facility was clean and well staffed. We had good seats for each of the concerts and the one conference, however, I feel it would be a good view regardless of your seating location. That's always a plus. Additionally, the bathrooms are well-maintained and clean and that is always a plus at a conference facility. There are many different snack bars with a wide array of choices. And surprisingly, while not cheap, the prices are a lot less than you would expect from other convention facilities. The Lander Center is also adding on with an additional hundred thousand square feet. The only reason for four stars instead of five is they need significantly more signage to direct traffic to and from parking. read more

This is a great event center. It's in a safe area. There is plenty of parking. The concessions are okay, not great. Good security. My only complaint is that at my event there that was two days; it was so very extremely cold that we thought we were going to have to leave the Women's Christian Conference. It was not just me everyone I talked to was freezing. Some women went and bought blankets. I wore a short sleeve dress that came to my ankles and a sweater shawl. At the break I went out and got my jacket that i had worn from the previous night and put it on. I also wore my socks on my hands. My friend wore her house slippers. You could have hung meat in the center. I don't think I will be back. We were all miserably cold. read more

The seats are too close together. They need to do better with seating. No one wants to packed in like sardines.

I think the staff behavior could honestly improve so bad. I was at the Landers Center getting ready for graduation and couple of the staff were very rude. I tried hard to express the physical pain that I was feeling after falling in the tent. The ground felt hard but no too bad. This place in my opinion isn't fully ADA accessible in so many ways. read more

Overall a great place, we had the gymnastics meet here, the security staff was great and easy to get in and out of. It is a great location for the venue we had, my concern was dropping off our kids and largely the pickup. I understand it's a huge event and hard to structure everything perfect just the retired cop and dad in me. read more

You know I can't believe this is actually my first review to Landers Center however I have been to this location before-- sometimes the parking is pretty hectic and sometimes it's a little bit chaotic and sometimes it's a little more than overpopulated because most of these events tend to have a sellout crowd-- most of these events here do quite well it's just it gets really chaotic when it's time to one park for the and then to but I have to say this particular time not the case-- it could be possible because this is the kids event it was a family oriented event that it was it was not over populated but it was a nice size crowd for the type of event and there were tons of kids which is totally expected gaining entry to the parking lot was anything actually attending today's event was well received and way more pleasant of a visit then my past visits -- May be having a oversize price sign at the light where you turn into Landers Center would help for patrons to go ahead and have their cash maybe just more so this little signage before you actually approach the area where they're taking the money so you get the patrons a heads up they have their money--The parking staff was operating on anymore I guess you could say more Swift basis they seem to be more attentive to get people on in and out which is a great specially when you're trying to be on time for you than you wanna spend the majority of your time in a line to pay for parking In all Landers Center hosted Sesame Street Live in a five star way today! read more

First visit was for a concert. Doors opened at 7pm, metal detectors in place before we got inside. Good concept in my opinion and the line moved fast. Once inside there were concession stands and bathrooms located near the entrance we came in. Concession stand food consisted of typical offerings like popcorn, nachos, hotdogs, coca cola products, beer, etc.. prices were fair to me. They also served alcoholic beverages in the main hallway as well as inside the concert space. The concert space was small compared to other venues in the area that hosts concerts that I've been to, yet our view was still a good view of the stage. There were occasional sound issues, but according to some ppl that frequent the place often, this is a common issue. Parking was not an issue, we arrived early and were in our seats by 730pm. I would definitely come back for events. read more

The Tool concert was a nightmare!!! For REAL! So many things are wrong with this place when describing the mayhem that ensued before, during, and after this show. First. Why in the hell do you have only one entrance open to the arena? It took 45 minutes to get in after we got close. Oh yeah, because you're greedy and needed to collect $5 from every car parked on the lot after collecting ticket costs beforehand. There where three lines taking money for the entire lot. If you didn't have cash, turn around and leave. Luckily, I keep a good knot on me. This was a sold out show btw! Completely full! People everywhere. Second. Why in the hell did the show start at 6:30 instead of 7:00? Oh yeah, because you imposed a 10:30 cut off for the show. If they hadn't started early Tool would have played 5 songs (more on that in a bit). I'm not sure if Desoto County is responsible for this but I sure will remember this novel fact moving forward. I'd love some clarity on this Landers!!!! (Feel free to respond!) Third. You had one door at each entrance open. Why???????? It took 20 minutes to get inside your little arena. After gaining entry it was mayhem. You couldn't walk down any hallway. It was packed, the bathroom lines were 200-250 yards long. Funny thing is, there where bathrooms empty on the south side of the arena. Luckily, I knew this from being here before. Why not tell people this handy fact while staff stood by watching people standing in stupid lines? I'll give you some credit here on the actual show. The sound was good! I'm probably giving you credit for what the Band's production team did. Oh yeah, one giant problem is I missed 2/3's of the band that I really wanted to see. Primus started at 7:00 instead of 3 teeth. I got near the arena at 6:40 thinking I had time to see them. Little did I know the show was already underway. Speaking of missing shows. Tool's set was short by 4 songs due to time limits. Boooooooo!!!! Fourth. I don't smoke. I am glad I quit. You had two standard doors in and out for every smoker at a Tool show?? I bet 70 percent of these folk were still addicted. There was smoke two feet thick inside because they couldn't get outside to smoke. Staff walked through clinging to each other bitching about the crowd instead of being proactive and opening another door. Seriously I witnessed a line of staff of 5 women and 1 man leading with him yelling at people to put out their cigarettes. He kept telling his "gals" they only had till 10:30. One woman commented "I dreaded this event". My one regret was not getting all of their names. Fifth. It took almost an hour to get out of the parking lot after the show. Why??? No traffic control!!! The other entrance/exit was still BLOCKED! ONE EXIT !! I had to get stupid aggressive to even get out in the time I did. Not again. Landers Center. Never. You can keep that mess. read more

The landers center is an updated venue for concerts and shows. The refreshment vendors seemed to be understaffed. I waited 40 minutes for a drink. They seemed to be ample staffed on security detail and ushers. We were here for a country concert and one thing I can brag on them about is the sound system. In the past at other venues, I have been disappointed in the quality of the sound system. The hired crew was very helpful and quick to answer questions we had while getting around the center. Traffic control while exiting was a bummer. We spent one hour waiting to get out of the parking lot. read more

I have been to concerts all over and this is without a doubt the best I've been to logistics wise. They have it down to a science. They had an officer on Church Rd controlling the red light to keep traffic flowing; they had cones out to keep traffic under control; they had police directing traffic on the way to the venue; it was just amazing how well they had everything under control. I cannot say enough good things about this venue. It was clean, tons of bathrooms, concession choices... now the seating was bit cramped but I had a great view of the stage and I had a blast. Went to Jingle Jam 2019, and it was overall a really good concert. Parking was easy and only $5, security was super simple, and the concert was well-run as far as the time between performers. I will say though, I was on the 4th row on the floor and the seats were pretty cramped. Also the huge speakers were stacked on each end of the stage (one set right in front of me) and not only did it partially block the view, but it was so loud that i could feel the bass in my chest and could barely even hear myself scream. Also the lights were constantly moving around in the crowd so sometimes you were blinded and couldn't see the performer. But I'm impressed and would come back again. read more

Parking is more than adequate for the size of the venue and there are plenty of eateries close by for your before or after event knoshing needs. For special events plan on paying around $5 for parking. If you go for hockey, there are not any obstructed views like you will find in other hockey towns. Because of its size, don't expect high end cushy seats with drink holders in the first 10 rows, and then you won't waste time looking for them. I don't really eat or drink much that they offer so not sure how great concessions are but I'd guess average junk food. No real healthy or vegan options for snacks. Seats comfy and easy to find with the helpful staff. Yep, still waiting to leave this place. Insane amount of time to get out. I get it's crowded but really... So my mom is a lower leg amputee and they made her walk a half a mile walk after standing in a hour line. So we left and on our way out the events general manager stoped her. The City of Horn Lake hosted The Winn & Annie Ruth Brown 6th Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Breakfast. Fire trucks in front of the Landers center held our American flag high in the sky upon entering the building. The welcoming faces, the sponsors, the songs by the Horn Lake Choir, presentation of colors by Horn Lake Fire and Police Departments honor guard, the special solo by William Walker Brown and the Guest speaker WW2 Survivor Mr. Olin Pickens were absolutely wonderful and well received. Every Military service was recognized as the Horn Lake High School Choir sang the hymn for each military branch the service flag for that branch was paraded around the room (see video) it was beautiful. Hubby had a dr appointment so we had to leave but I would have love to have heard the rest of Mr Pickens speech. It was truly a heartfelt time being with other service members past and present from all branches. The coordinator of the program, the sponsors and all who were involved we thank you and appreciate the hard work involved in putting this together for us. read more

Here for a UCA Cheer competition. Compared to parking & concessions there prices are cheaper. Not sure if it is per event but parking was $5.00 & for a chicken tender & fries $6.00. It is very cold inside so bring a jacket. read more

First time going was February 16 to see Bell Biv DeVoe, Monica, K-Ci and 702. Facility was nice however parking and it's attendance were atrocious. Couldn't understand why I had to pay five dollars to park at a show that I just spent over $100 each on a ticket. Trying to leave was a total nightmare. read more

My wife and I have now been here for Hockey a couple of times, a home show and a comedy show. We really like the venue for the events we have attended. This is a smaller venue, but perfect for minor league hockey and other shows. They seemed to be rather smart with the concessions as there were enough open to accommodate the amount of people attending the event, no seriously long lines and no empty stands with people just standing around. The concession stands had the normal arena style food and beverages at the normal prices, always over priced but standard for the venue type. All the seating seemed to be pretty good. We actually walked around and tested a lot of the seating during our last trip to a game in order to decide which ones to get for next years season tickets to hockey. read more

This place is a nightmare for concerts. The traffic control to get in was ridiculous. It took us 45 minutes from the interstate exit to enter the parking lot, good thing we arrived over an hour before scheduled show time. The vending can not handle sold out crowds. We waited in line for over 30 minutes and then the keg ran out so we had to start over at another stand. Bathroom lines are ridiculously long unless you want to miss the good parts of the show that you paid to see. They need to seriously think about their customers and reevaluate their operation if we are ever to return there again. read more

We went to see "12 Angry Jurors" here tonight. I'm not going to review the show itself, but rather the venue and "experience." When we walked in the lobby, there were two ticket takers in Landers uniforms, and about eight young men and women in dress clothes with "Usher" tags on. We loitered in the (very small) lobby until the doors opened. There was a snack bar that had sodas, popcorn and candy-cash only. When we made our way to our seats, the ticket taker sort of pointed us to our seats, while the ushers just stood around in the lobby. This was unfortunate, because people had a REALLY difficult time getting to their seats. After we were seated, someone with. "House Manager" tag came and asked the couple sitting one seat over from us if they would mind scooting in so they could fit another person in. How does that happen in a theater with assigned seating??? The entire experience seemed liked amateur night, honestly. When the director spoke before the show, she commented on seeing "new faces" among the familiar ones. This audience really felt like a Mississippi "clique" of locals who came to cheer on their friends and family in the play. The older gentlemen behind us talked throughout the entire show, and he and his wife kept talking about the "foreigner" in the cast. I don't think we'll go to anymore of the productions at this theater. read more

Went to a Mississippi Riverkings game here, and it was a decent hockey venue, even though from the outside it doesn't look like a sporting venue. I will say that for a sporting event they didn't seem to have much in the way of concessions, just one food place that served the standard sports fare, and only Budweiser beer, nothing locally brewed. The restrooms were clean and the staff was friendly. read more

I have been here several times for concerts and hockey games. During concerts getting into the actual Lander's center parking lot takes about 45 minutes to a full hour from Airways Blvd which is less than a mile away. That is even if you are allowed into the parking lot, the Southaven Police Department might make you park on the street or in a field. The concessions lines are usually a 40 - 45 minute wait just to get your $8 beer. I e-mailed the lander's center and Joel Crews the Events Director replied and told me that the traffic wasn't their problem and to contact the Mayor of Southaven or the SPD. He also told me that they have enough "points of sale" to be well within the industry standard. Good job on passing the buck and telling your customers that basically you don't care about the long wait times. I have been to several concerts there and I will not be back. read more

I must say that I have attended quite a few events at the Landers Center and I enjoy it every time. I am pleased that Southaven Police are out in full force making sure that everything and everyone is safe. There has not been any issues with the events I've attended and I've attended a rap concert here lol. Like anywhere, you want to make sure you get there early like I always do. I make sure to get there an hour before the start of the show (when doors open) and I go right in, find my seat and I'm comfortable before the show starts. I hate when people are constantly getting up throughout the show or are late I have to continually get up to let them pass. That I do not care for because the seating is kind of tight. I don't have a problem with traffic because I know when to arrive and when to leave. All and all, I am very comfortable with attending events at this venue and I will continue to. read more

Worst traffic control we have ever experienced. Concert (Thomas Rhett) was great. But, we will not be attending Landers Center in the future. Traffic to get in backed up for miles on I55. Took longer to exit parking lot than at a Talledega with 100,000 people! read more
