From the time we met Joan at the beginning of our search to closing on our dream house, we received exceptional customer service. When Joan noticed us looking around a Portland property she graciously opened the house up for us to view; even though it was well after the end of an open house, and the property was locked and secured. And though we were not ready to purchase she was considerate and responsive to our questions. In addition to this personal attention, what stands out is the patient and insightful way Darrin listened to us and honed in on our most important criteria. Despite some of the narrow parameters, he was creative in his process and found the perfect home for us. Thank you Joan and Darrin!

He is an absolute winner of an agent and if/when we ever need another agent in the area, we will absolutely come back to him! I was put in contact with Nathan after finding a listing on Zillow and asking calling the number listed to see it. The original agent was not available to show, but they connected me with Nathan and I am ever so glad they did! My husband and I decided to buy a condo in Portland as it has been our dream to live in downtown Portland for years. This will be a second home for us until he retires and then become a retirement home. Nathan was responsive, patient, prepared, knowledgeable about the neighborhoods, and overall just a pleasure to work with. He was incredibly flexible and worked around my tricky schedule while we were visiting the area. When it came to negotiation, he pulled comps and helped us find the right price and got our offer accepted quickly. We sign docs tomorrow and Nathan has been there with us every step of the way. Making recommendations, answering phone calls, texts, and somehow never seeming bothered by my endless questions. He has put together timelines, checklists and has kept us in the know at all times. He is flexible, accommodating, knowledgeable, and responsive. I'm honestly not sure what else you could want in an ideal realtor. If you're seeking someone to assist you, seek no further (seriously and he did not pay me to say that). Nathan is awesome and a pleasure to work with to boot.

The houses he lists also are presented well and generally sell quickly at or above asking price. He has been my realtor for two purchases and I completely trust his opinion and advice. He is able to quickly and accurately figure out my needs and will target appropriate properties within my price range, while steering me away from lemons and future headaches. He has advised me on ways to make my offers more competitive, and knows how work with other realtors to seal the deal. What I appreciate most is him playing 'house detective' when we tour a listing: he basically pre-inspects it by looking at the structure, mechanicals, etc and identifying future problems. He doesn't just passively open the door and let you walk around, he's hands-on in helping you evaluate if it's a good purchase. I know his goal is to help me find and land that perfect property, which he has done twice now, and I'm so thankful to have him on my team. Highly recommended!

NO CMA! no tracking or follow through when the house wasn't selling, no advise on how to lower price or strategies to move it, took 4 request just to get a sign from him then he charges you for postage. He had No knowledge of the coast market and did not update our listing to reflect he was providing " supposedly" full representation so local agents ignored us. We paid him upfront and he was MIA for a majority of our 3 months in his service. He left his office to go a road trip and was out of cell range without notice, and did not return emails, texts or voice mails for several days. (During the work week. He is somehow supposed to provide full service and not work on weekends.) It was a time sensitive matter and we needed his assistance. When we finally reached him he put us off for another 3 days but promised to follow thru at the end of those 3 days. He did not. We called again left multiple messages. When he responded he said he hadn't done it but would that day. NOTHING! When he called the next day he was defensive, angry, and belligerent. It was a total waste of time and money. No apologies just screaming. He's lack of professionalism was disturbing and offensive. You cannot leave a review on his portal to counter the positive ones because he blocks you from doing so. Only good reviews get on. You get what you pay for. Unless you are in a great sellers market and need absolutely nothing from him except to upload your MLS... go elsewhere and save your frustration, time and money.

Apparently I misunderstood the intent of Ms. Harper's communication and designation of what was my responsibility. In response, I am going to share the actual verbiage of her email to me: "Mr. Jones, Did you even read through the documentation I sent? I am not suggesting you get the HOA document provided by the HOA. I am suggesting you fill out the SELLERS PROPERTY DISCLOSURES. And in fact, I'm suggesting you find another realtor.
