Review about Remy H. Blanchaert, Jr…read more I am so livid right now!!! My wife, Sarah, was referred to a specialist to have a tooth extracted due to it touching a nerve and the fact that she has a major reaction to epinephrine in the normal novocaine shot. The specialist has a different shot they use for those that are sensitive. She waited over two weeks for this appointment, in constant pain and losing sleep because of it. And today is finally the day. We get there, she fills out the paperwork, and gets called back. The nurse gets her ready, and puts some local anesthetic on the area to get ready for the shot. The dentist is getting ready to do it and Sarah asks if he's using the right shot. He says, "I'm using what I've always used for 20 years". She informs him that she has a reaction to the regular shot. He then raises his voice and says, "do you want the tooth out or not?" She sits up and he pushes her up out of the chair and says "then leave". She looked at the nurse and said "are you kidding me? Does he always treat people like this?" The nurse said, "I can't answer that", and just cowered in the corner. Sarah then walked out of the room in complete tears and came out to the lobby, where I was waiting. DO NOT have work done by this dentist and if Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates continues to support his actions, as you could tell by the nurse's reactions this happens a lot, then do not use their services at all!!

You won't see post it notes on any monitors or tacky computer generated signs. My favorite part about the visit? Holding the suction wand myself! This doctor has a sense of humor, is so generous with the topical numbing agent, that his touch with the needle is hardly a pinch. But, here's the thing, you could have the best doc ever and with bad staff, never make a return appointment. You will NOT Have to worry about that here! These girls are excellent! I was never left alone, and this was a consult that turned into an extraction...my choice, but it did give me a twinge of anxiety when we were waiting for me to numb up. Every question I had was answered quickly and with detail! I love that! The actual procedure took maybe 20 seconds-maybe ten! It was really that fast! I took 3 deep breaths and it was over! Lastly, I am 42. I don't know why I've never had my wisdoms out, they just never came out. This Dr. Told me why! He said that the way the roots came in, they didn't need to be pulled. He could have told me I needed all of them pulled and he would have made $$$$ off me! But he showed me how the roots were not touching, tilting or twisted and said, because of my other medical diagnosis', managing my dental needs on a case by case basis is a better option for me. I totally agreed with him. Easily, he could have made a quick buck off of me. Instead, he considered me as a whole.

These guys are amazing!…read more We're fairly new to Wichita. At 10:30 on a Thursday night, I cracked a crown. I was freaking out! Most dentist offices aren't open on Friday. I was immense pain and stressed about not getting in somewhere until Monday. I was also stressing the 1-2 weeks of dealing with a temporary. To make matters worse, my 3 kids were off school for conferences and I don't know anyone to watch them. I called WFD at 7:30 on Friday morning. They told me to get there as fast as I can and they'd help. I walked in with my 3 rowdy boys and they fit me right in. I was shocked to find out they have the technology to make the replacement crown in the office. They replaced my crown within 3 hours and helped entertain my kids. I'm sure they were a bit annoyed with the kids, but they never made me feel that way.

I was overcharged and it took well over a month for the overcharge ($848.05) to be refunded after the office called and told me about it. I was misled , no , flat out lied to by certain office personnel and if I hadn't been fortunate enough to get in contact with Ashley I would probably still be in dispute. Beautiful office, excellent dentist but no interest in customer service. Hard to understand why they insist on payment before you're allowed in a chair, but if they owe you money it takes "4-8 weeks " for a refund. Avoid these people

I found every single staff member I interacted with very friendly. Shocked people are saying rude staff. I found them all to be kind and patient and willing to answer my questions. (And I ask a lot of questions I like to be very involved in my treatment and understand everything) The doctor was really kind and professional. He made sure I was very comfortable the whole time. Which I really appreciate. He let me know what he was going to do before he would do it, he would tell me what I could feel or expect before as well. Zero complaints I truly don't believe health care workers and doctors and just "rude" to be rude. I really found not an ounce of rudeness from any staff member. Think it's what you make of it. But I will confidently say that's now what I experienced. I opted to stay awake with the Dr approval and they accommodated and I'm very grateful I don't like to be put under or twilight sleep procedures. ( although I'm grateful these options are around for people with high anxiety when it comes to dentist) My nurse or dental assistant (so sorry I don't know the actual term) was very nice. She got me comfortable and numbed up and chatted with me til it was time the Dr came in and gave me shots to numb me up. Didn't feel much of anything. 10 mins later he came back made sure I was numb and I'm not kidding like 3 seconds and my tooth was out haha. Man's my hero. Such a painless procedure. Not that I would want anymore of my teeth removed, but heaven forbid I did, I'm racing back here haha. I found everyone professional, this office is freaking clean, which makes you feel good when you're about to have oral surgery. Day 2 post op, feeling great. What a breeze. Literally thank you to the Doctor and his staff. I kept my tooth too.

They bill and if they make an error on the claims, they don't bill again- you just owe cash. They also double bill insurance. I had double dental insurance and they said they paid nothing for a PANO! Like- come on here. Delta Dental didn't pay for a Pano? Then- the consultation fee is 150.00 that the don't tell you about and not covered by insurance. So I call out of desperation because I was told by the Dentist that he was the best in town. They call me 2 days before my appointment and tell me that I owe the 258.00 for a 6 year old debt from a visit where I got a pano and was so disgusted that I never went back. They said that needed to be paid to the collection agency before being seen. So-I say ok. Then I call back and ask her about the consultation/appointment and what is due up front. She says I need to pay the whole 150 plus the collection agency fee. I ask her if the consultation fee can be paid at the time of the wisdom tooth extraction instead of at the time of the consultation. She says no. I told her that I couldn't pay it all at once, a normal human would discern that I wouldn't make the appt. Got paid on Friday - called and paid the collections agency. Then, called to let them know and the office person REFUSED to schedule me because I no showed. REFUSED to schedule me and told me that she wasted her time calling the collection agency twice the day of my appt, How about you check in with me to see if it was paid. Honestly its ok with me because the idea of going to this office and supporting their business made me want to puke! Southwind is getting me taken care of and there is no consultation fee! The office staff was kind and welcoming and I am filing a chargeback on the collection agency payment and reporting them to the insurance commissioner. You have GOT to be kidding me!
