My dog is 7 years old and haven't ever had this problem with any other vet. I told them when making the appointment the only thing my dog doesn't like is anyone to touch her feet because I was bringing her for nail trim and rabies shot. This makes no sense for Dr. Maya Barfield to still charge me the $60.00 for exam but was able to do nail trim. They charged a total of $100.00. While she brought my dog back to me Dr. was holding her leash so tight she was gasping. We feel this was wrong as they should not charge for a service they promised to provide but did not, so how could she have taken her time? We will call on Monday to ask them to do the right thing and refund our money because I agreed to pay for and they agreed to provide these services, but they did not. We will dispute these charges with CC company. Will post follow up review. For those of you wondering my previous vet passed away and the other moved too far away.

The staff makes notes about what you say on the phone with them because they can be used later against you. It seems like the staff doesn't believe what we tell them. We were accused of taking a script from the office when we never saw it. The staff thought we were lying and it made us uncomfortable and we felt like we couldn't trust them. They don't act professional. I was disappointed in them and saddened the day my Chihuahua died at the vet's office. On Tuesday, we noticed that our 13-year-old Chihuahua, Shorty, was not eating or drinking water, So we tried to make an appointment on Wednesday, but there were no appointments. we got the earliest appointment we could get which was at 7:30 on Thursday morning for Dr. Owen. That next day, my husband dropped Shorty off at the Vet's office at 7:20. Thirty minutes later I received a call from Dr. Owen at 8:05 apologizing because Shorty had passed away alone, in her pet carrier, in an exam room where she had been for 30 minutes. At least Sarah (the doctor mentioned her name) when she was working on the computer could have checked on her periodically and they could have gotten her out of the pet carrier. I would have stayed and held her if I'd known the Veterinarian wasn't going to be there until 8:00 am. Dr. Owen said she was very sorry, but it didn't help much. If you care about bringing your pets to an animal hospital that loves their animals, then I recommend going somewhere else. Animal Hospital of Ovilla does not care about your pets like it says on the website but only about their service fees!
