(During the pandemic many grocery chains lost their experienced produce teams and since then stores haven't yet found suitable employees that keep an eye on the freshness of their produce) My grocery outings required the basics for a barbecue. Produce eaten the same day, mixers for drinks, chips and other appetizer options. For these items the spend was wise and due to the time of day, uber convenient.

I was next in line and the couple in front of me had a issue with the pricing on their produce. There was the cashier and two baggers standing there. The cashier attempted to say this is always the price but the women clearly disagreed with the sign she saw. The cashier turns to one of the baggers and said "you work in that department go check" and he replied " no I am not going to do it and walked off" What the heck? The other guy just laughed and finally the husband just said forget it. By the time I got up to register the baggers wasn't paying attention and gave my stuff to the couple who were still looking at their receipt. The other times I didn't have any problems.

His name was Emerald, he was very belligerent, frantic and obscenely loud. I am not sure what was transpiring but the manager told him to clock out and Emerald I must say was very insubordinate, and it terrified me. emerald stated " I don't have to do Sh*T , I don't have to listen to you. At that point security should have escorted him OUT! If he can be like that to his direct line of management I can only imagine the way he treats customers. Treat this as a formal complaint to Kroger. Your management staff should not be treated like that nor should that have been directly on the sales floor. This was very very unfortunate. I hope us as customers never have to see Emerald again as he is NOT a great representation of the company. If anyone has a video please post it on social media, this was absolutely INSANE!

But they only had it during the week, and with us working during the week and staying almost 30min. Away it wasn't doable. We ordered a lot of food as usual because we like to try everything overall between both places we paid about 95-ish dollars. The food and wait was worth it per usual, but the ATTITUDES at both places weren't, I let my bf order once I peeped, to avoid getting pissed off further. they can also practice safe food handling at the burger place.. I witnessed her wearing her gloves to write on the box, handle the food, touch cups to make drinks, walk to the other restaurant with the same gloves on and walk back, now while she didn't touch anything on the other side it's the principal.. At J's international when the food was ready, our name was called, and she let us look at the food to make sure it was right. The reason for the rating is because of the attitudes I didn't drive almost 30min. To feel like you don't want to work and be bothered today. Buttttt hey the music was a plus I was jammin for the most part!

I truly appreciate the customer service at Brookshire's. I was especially happy this time when the gentleman in the meat department took care of me and didn't turn me away. That meant a lot!
