Had custom screens made years ago. He was so easy to deal with and very nice. I would recommend him to anyone needed custom screens. read more

Stephen was friendly, provided prompt, quality service and respected my cat and my girlfriend who was sleeping during the day because she had just worked a night shift. I had one small window screen to install on my bedroom window. I made an appointment with him over text to come make some measurements. He arrived and quickly took some measurements and told me he had to make the screen and then he would text me to set up an appointment for installation. He texted me a couple days later and came by to install the window screen within that week. As a trades person I respect workers that know their trade and I'll either pay the quoted amount or I'll get a different quote. I felt that his price was fair so went with Stephen. Relying on customer provided measurements leaves too much margin for error. Stephen doesn't want to make 2 separate trips but he understands he has to, to make sure the job gets done correctly. The price to do the job is X amount. The price to not do the job is 0$. I understand people want more information, want to see examples, want transparency in pricing and want a fancy website but what I want to prompt, friendly service and a window screen and that's what I got. There's contractors that cater to the people who have provided 1 star reviews to this business and they likely charge double for essentially the same product. Very Karen-y to leave a 1 star review for a service you didn't even get. Stephen satisfied every need that I had as a person who wanted to pay someone to install a window screen. read more

Stephen was excellent on all fronts with my order for a single screen to replace one that I had custom ordered from another company about a decade ago. He was quick to return my call, his pricing is nearly identical to other companies (measurements annd delivery cost the same, screen slightly cheaper) and his customer service much stronger. I was ghosted by one of his competitors three (!) times. Stephen came and measured the window within 2 days of our first call and told me it would be two weeks until it was ready for delivery and installation. Just a week later it was ready and he delivered and installed it in mere minutes the next day. He under promised and over delivered, the best way to set and then exceed expectations! I would absolutely bring return business to him and have let my neighbours know so they don't waste their time with the other company. read more

I needed replacement screens for my place and gave Lam's a call to ask about his services. I explained that I needed 4 screens made and that I have exact measurements and photos already. He then said that he'd need to come over and measure himself for a charge of around $150, which I explained wasn't needed. He wasn't happy about that. I wanted to see examples of the screens he makes, soI asked if he had a store that I could go to to see examples...he said no. I asked if he had a websiite that I could see examples...he said no. I then asked if he could email me pictures of his screens...he said no to that as well. At this point it was very obvious that he didn't want my business, so I said thanks and good bye. Overall a very unhelpful and unprofessional business that I could never recommend. read more

Great price and service for Custom made screens. Stephen is responsive and wants to ensure he makes the timing work based on your schedule to measure and fit once they are done. Highly recommend. read more

Stephen did an excellent job fitting screens for our condo windows. We wanted something so that we could leave our windows open but keep our cats in. Hey look great, snap in with magnets so no damage to the window frame. Stephen had the screens ready when he said he would and didn't even take a deposit before custom making them. Would recommend! Update: one year later and the screens have held up really well. Our large cats haven't managed to pull any of them out! read more

Stephen provided amazing service, quick and good quality product. The sizes were off on 3 of the windows but he had that corrected within the week. Great communication and prompt service. read more

Awful experience. Stephen was clearly not interested in my small job and make sure he priced my small windows over the phone to ensure I would either get ripped off by him or go somewhere else. I decided to go somewhere else. read more

We've had a hatch-style window screen, a sliding door screen, and a regular window screen installed on two separate visits, and we're very happy with the results. Service was prompt, polite, and professional, and the screens are well made, fit accurately first time, and were installed quickly and well. Charges were very reasonable. We'll use again should te need arise. read more

Steven is so great. He did the manufacturing and installation so fast. The services are just excellent.

I gave Stephen a call to order 2 balcony door and 2 window screens. He came on time and measured my doors and windows. Very reasonable prices. $125 for the door and $55 for the windows. Labour was $70. I upgraded the windows to magnet attachments. These are awesome because no holes need to be drilled into your windows. Stephen pointed out that my door frames were uneven because of building sag. He also gave me pointers on some window problems I had. Order time was one week. He came on-time once again and installed my order without a problem. One of the door screens had a torn plastic piece and Stephen already knew that and had it replaced on the spot. "Give me a call if there are any problems." He is very polite. When in my house, he took off his shows, cleaned up after himself and made absolutely sure that everything that he opened was closed shut afterwards. This pride in workmanship made me feel like he was working on his own house. Now I have more projects in mind and know who to call =] read more

Great service! Came and measured and installed all within a week. Window screens look great! Can barely tell they're there! Very happy with quality and service. Would definitelu use Stephen again. read more

Stephen is a professional. Very fast, friendly and respectful of your time. Called him up based on other positive reviews and he did not disappoint. Had no problems reaching him. He first came by to take measurements for 3 windows. In a week it was done and he was back at my place to install. Great job, great product, great service. Highly recommend. read more

Very friendly, super quick turnaround and our new screens are great! So easy. Definitely will be keeping the contact info if I move apartments and need to get more screens installed. read more

Stephen fitted my condo with two window screens and one sliding door screen. He was great! Prompt, fast service, he came to take measurements and delivered the screens a week later. He didn't even take a deposit before getting to work on the screens. The screens have a magnetic snap enclosure so no damage to windows, and have been very effective at keeping out bugs. Would highly recommend Stephen! read more

Just called him to consult about window screens this afternoon. I was looking for screens for several push-out windows. He just explained the product on the phone but I wasn't familiar with it so asked to see it by myself. I offer to go to his place to see the product but he said he is too busy and can't make time. Obviously he is busy enough and he doesn't care to get a new customer. I never experience such a bad customer service in any trades. read more

Stephen was great. He answered the phone right away, gave me a ballpark estimate for my screens, and then came by to take measurements. He always showed up when he said he would, and texted in advance to confirm. He was quick to measure and to get the screens installed. One of the screens was just a mm or 2 off when he installed it, and he got a new one made and installed within a week. He also didn't take payment until the work was done. Overall, I was very happy with his work! read more

Given how hot the summers are getting in Vancouver, we needed screens to keep our condo cool while keeping the bugs out. After some research and the great Yelp reviews, we decided to go with this place and are so incredibly pleased that we did. Stephen did a phenomenal job installing beautiful window screens in our condo. Professional, punctual and friendly, Stephen came in to measure our windows, provided us with great options and within 10 days we got beautiful custom-made window screens at an exceptional price. Stephen simply cannot be beat in terms of service, price and quality -- so happy to Yelpers for recommending this place and we are so impressed that we needed to add to these reviews! read more

Wow. Stephen is an awesome guy. Service was quick and friendly with no hassle. Even as the season is ramping up and he's busy, I got hold of him quickly. He gave me a quick phone estimate to confirm prices inline with expectations, came and did proper measurements and gave me a proper quote, then came back in less than two weeks to install. I love it when there are no surprises. Would refer Stephen to anyone looking for window screens. I got a door screen as well and it works great. I love that it is so streamlined that when open you barely notice it is there. read more

Expierencing something different here. Very slow response, does not reply messages and can't not be reached by phone for 3 days to arrange measurement. Asked someone else and booked straight away. Maybe my case was too small. Shop around. read more

Stephen was friendly and easy to deal with. Delivered the screens when he said he would (5 days from measuring to installation) at the price he quoted. read more

Cheap. Some screens just too tight to get in & out easily. Crinkled screening you can see waves in it, not pulled tight enough? The mesh squares are off, so screening looked crooked. The other company on yelp in the area had almost same price, wish I went with them. read more

Stephen is very professional and pleasant to work with. He installed magnetic window screens in my condo which look great. He was very responsive, punctual and polite. read more

This is truly someone who values their work and takes pride in what they do. He was quick to respond and set up an appointment. Very impressed by his work and his friendly manner. The measuring of the windows took a few mins and he even brought samples of what the screen frames & colours would look like. He had to come by the next day to remeasure, due to an overlooked detail, and worked around my schedule. I had 2 windows and a sliding screen door for my balcony made and it was done in a week! He was prompt and installation was done in under an hour. He even had thicker screen mesh to accommodate pets and durability. It blends in very well with my existing window frames and the snap on/off magnets makes it easy to clean if needed. I'm really happy with the work and can't wait to open my windows when the warmer weather approaches. Thanks Stephen. read more

I've worked with Stephen on two projects--both window screens, one for a condo and a house. He did a wonderful job in both cases. Installation of the second project required adjusting all blinds and 13 custom screens. Quality and installation were exceptional. And I think his value is terrific--you won't find more value i the city. Do not hesitate. He has great integrity and books up fast. We are thrilled to be bug-free in the house! read more

Stephen was friendly and professional and did a great job of making 3 window screens for my home. Screens were made and ready earlier than expected and installed in less than 15 minutes. Screens look and work great! Would highly recommend Lam's! read more

Very quick and efficient. I got him to install a screen door years ago, lost his contact info and found him again on Yelp. Had him install a window screen this time and a new door handle for the screen door. Quick measurement appointment, quick install appointment and he shows up when he says he would. I would recommend him to anyone who needs screens. read more

Stephen was very patient with me while I decided who I wanted to hire for the job. Once I hired him he came and measured the windows and double screens for our patio door. He was definitely the most reasonable in terms of price and delivered earlier than promised. The date of the install I had questions that he answered with patience. I would definitely recommend him highly. read more
