It can be tough for a city to invest a lot of money along a large river like the Ohio. Most of the money might seem to go to preventing flooding of the nearby shops and homes. But Madison has put in a nice greenspace with some trees and fencing to make the riverfront look more appealing. On days when the river is down, the space can be used for gatherings as well.
I also liked that a platform was built to overlook the river. They've even included a coin operated telescope to enable views across the river.
On the east end of the park, long concrete steps are terraced along a stretch that could be used as an amphitheater if the river and weather cooperate.
Overall, a nice place for taking a stroll or looking at the river. Otherwise, not many amenities to use.
