We have recently started going to Dr. Wilson. His office staff as well as Dr. Wilson himself are…read morevery kind. I never feel rushed and he answers all my question. We have been 3 times in 6 months (I have 4 kids, so there is always something) We have Medi-Share and they accept our copay of $35. He is laid back, some of the reviews I read pointed this out like it was a bad thing. These reviews were also from vacationers...not a local resident of Sanibel Island. We all all bit laid back here, it's part of our charm. Here's my bottom line. I think Dr. Wilson is knowledgeable, kind and has relatively quick service. Hope this helps you make your decision.

My experience: Urinating Frank blood and with pain at the end. Upon arrival I explained the symptoms, I was instructed to urinate into the specimen container. I couldn't believe that the urine was clear and no pain! This was so weird to me. I thought to myself that maybe I was passing a kidney stone. Dr. On duty there was no bacteria present and will send it to the lab for further examination. And would they call with the results. Two weeks went by, no word. I called and receptionist said it was negative for any bacteria. OK, I need to speak to the doctor as to what might have occurred as I did have frank blood, very painful upon urination. Receptionist said she would pass this along. Receptionist phoned me( not the Dr.) back and stated "the doctor said there was no bacteria present" . I said, "Did you ask what could have caused it?" No reply, and I said, "well as a doctor, why wouldn't he mention that maybe it was a kidney stone". In my nursing experience, it is common sense to go over what could have caused this and talk about it directly with the doctor. This never happened and I was very disappointed. A Patient(customer)going in should ask lots of questions and make sure you are clear and follow up. Be your own advocate as no one else will be.
