I trusted his judgement and so far have been very satisfied. I have had to see his nurse instead of him once but that is okay, most usually they allow you more time and attention that the physician himself can. The office is a little strange with the waiting area basically being a hallway and with social distancing the space is a bit uncomfortable.

His bedside manner is excellent, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. His nurse is absolutely wonderful as well. She has an amazing bedside manner, is kind, precise, efficient, and very professional. She helps make the entire visit smooth and reassuring from start to finish. The check-in staff is also awesome--friendly, organized, and welcoming. It is clear this office values professionalism and patient care at every level. I highly recommend Dr. Sousa and his entire team. They provide top-notch care and make you feel respected, heard, and well taken care of.

To state I was pissed is an understatement. However, his staff assured me I would understand exactly why the wait was worth it. Boy, did I ever! I have never in my 64 years had a Doctor so caring and through. His mind is filled with details that he lays out there for you in a orderly fashion. He is NOT someone who is pill or vaccine crazy preferring to rely on your own immune system to fight infections. He request blood work prior to meeting with you and then is able to layout a detailed roadmap of your health. Honestly, (horrible to write) but I hope he outlives me as I could not imagine going to anyone else.

With a shortage of MDs in Florida, you may have to book an appointment well in advance. In the interim you can schedule with a physician's assistant, likely at a different location. (Lee Health has facilities throughout town.) Dr. Fraga is competent, proactive and thorough. She is easy to work with, and easy to talk to, quick to respond to messages sent on My Chart. Lee is part of the Epic System, with records accessible to Epic providers throughout the country. ( The network facilitates continuity of care and should be mandatory everywhere. Unfortunately, it's not.) I'd also like to give a shout-out to the on-premises lab. It's efficient and well run. Walk-ins welcome, frequently with minimal wait.

Last night about 6:00 PM, my right eye started bothering me and draining…read more I was freaking out bc I knew that today was Christmas Eve and I really wanted to be able to spend it with my family and grandchildren. So I tried calling my ophthalmologist. The message said to leave a message or call the Dr. directly. I did both and nobody called me back. So I got up early today and tried the office again, even though I doubted they would be there. Next, the primary doctor. They had a service call but I decided to go to Lee Convenient Care instead. By the time i got there the other eye was just as red. Check in was a breeze and the friendly receptionist made me feel more relaxed. I was called in by the nurse literally 20 minutes after arriving. I explained my problem and another young woman did a Covid, Flu etc. swab in a jiffy. The nurse practitioner came in and was so kind and listened to want was bothering me. She wrote two scripts and hopefully that will get me feeling better. Kind, caring and total reassuring was my experience this morning at the convenient care.
