This little Greek deli is a foodie's delight!
Pop through the narrow doorway and be greeted by refrigerated cabinets loaded with huge rounds, chunks and wedges of cheese from all over the world. Fill your crackers with taleggio, Greek kefalotyri, buffalo, one-year-old grana padano, goat's cheese, New Zealand tasty, gruyére, Dutch gouda, Tasmanian Heritage Blue Opal and Castello. I've stocked up for ladies' wine and cheese nights here - and no matter how many rounds I buy, it pretty much always disappears before I can even refill their glasses. The chilli buffalo cheese in particular is fantastic!
Keep moving beyond the cheese cabinet and you'll find containers full of different types of olives and meat products like salami.
Towards the back of the shop, there are shelves full of deli goods, such as beans and seeds. Take a culinary travel trip and fill up the shopping basket with all kinds of goodies. This family-owned deli has been around for decades and is an institution in these parts. The traditional background music alone will get you in the mood for Greek feasting! read more
