We had walked by this place on our way to Riff one night and thought we need to come back and try this place out. Every table has a wine bottle overflowing with old wax and candles burning bright. Whether you are sitting indoors by candlelight or outdoors people watching, this is a good spot to relax. We tried a carpaccio, salad, cheese pastry, and a pesto/tomato pasta and enjoyed everything. Service was friendly and efficient.

Amazing price point, great food and authentic (per an Italian - not me). I may not be the best gauge of authentic Italian food, but my half Italian co-worker is. According to him, this place was spot on, and he couldn't find a waiter who couldn't speak Italian. I can't confirm this, but I'll take his word on that. As far as the food goes... there's no real "ordering" at this place necessary. They will bring out dishes constantly and (according to the waiter) if the dish doesn't suit you, they'll bring something else out (talk about confidence!). I believe you can custom order or request specific items that they have, but I didn't bother trying with my Spanish and Italian co-workers present to do the talking. Now here's some noteworthy dishes: * Fruit Salad - Actually worth noting since it's really good salad with a variety of fruit. * Carpaccio - VERY good. If you like carpaccio, you'll like it even more here! * Linguine with Truffle Powder - TRUFFLES! Need I say more? This dish was AMAZING, but if you don't like truffles... hmmm... I wish I could tell you what wine we had, but I failed to stop and take it down, but there's some good wine here as well. The venue, very nice and very busy. This place filled up quickly. I believe it opened at 8:30, and within 30 minutes the place got packed! In warm weather, I'd recommend the outdoor seating; for a popular neighborhood it's not too loud. This restaurant has also expanded, so there's quite a good amount of space. Overall, a place you should definitely try! And again, the pricing here was surprisingly reasonable!!

Put away the menu, order some wine and go for the sharing option, great food, bigger group, more variety. Very reasonable price

The wait staff spoke pretty good English and were more than willing to bring extra bread.

Lots of other shops & restaurants were close by in case you needed to walk off your dinner. For that meal (yes we went back a second time!) we chose the lasagna & for an appetizer we chose the fonduta 5 fromaggi to snack on. It was a huge portion & OMGoodness was it delicious!!! The lasagna was served, and it was also a hearty portion. I'm a lasagna snob because I make my own, & it's very seldom that any I get at a restaurant that tastes anywhere as good as mine is. But the hefty slice we got at La Vita E Bella was delicious as well. It tasted every bit as good as mine, if not better. I like lots of meat & not a ton of ricotta cheese in it. We finished most of the lasagna (that we split) & we ate about 90% of the cheese bread appetizer. I'd most definitely recommend their restaurant!! We returned the next day for a pizza to split. It was awesome as well!! The service (Marco was our server) on our first visit & Alejandro for our second trip was attentive without being over bearing. Marco is the one that suggested the 5 cheese baked bread yum!! We sat outside in the open air & watched people go by both visits. Nice, we would eat there again, but we had to move on to another city in Spain.

This was a nice place until this italian guy was working. he was complaining of how tired he was. probably was hungover. he was extremely rude to me and refused to serve me a beer in a proper pint glass. he served me in a small paper cup. i tried to explain i would sit down and possibly eat a pizza to be served in a proper glass. he was extremely rude and told me no. the paper cup was half the size of a pint glass and i explained this to a waitress. she was nice and tried to talk to him but he was rude to her to. this place needs to get rid of staff that treat people badly. after that he was yelling at me in front of everyone so i told him well give me my money and ill go get a proper beer elsewhere. he slammed my money on the counter and was being extremely ugly. for people including staff members to see that this kind of behavior is accepted is not a good look for the business or customers. he really made me angry so i took a photo of him. he then tried to grab my phone out of my hands getting physical with me. in no way is all that worth one beer. management should fire him.

While you can't choose anything in particular, you can rule out toppings if you detest something or have a food allergy. I went here recently with a two friends, and ordered six pizettes to share. All of them were surprisingly good, and it was fun not knowing quite what was on each one until we bit in. However, there didn't turn out to be quite as much variety as we expected - all the toppings were mostly variations on different cheeses, with some hame and salami thrown in. There was nothing particularly unique or exciting, which might have been a good thing ;-) All told, this is a fun place to eat with friends; I'm sure I'll be back!
