This was my buddies favorite bar spot so we ended up here a few times on my stay, but I fell in love with it and went back for pizzas my last night in town. Even if you're going just for drinks, this is a fun spot and you should definitely check it out. If you're hungry or even looking for a snack to go with the booze, you can get these mini pizzas and they're so good. The other options are a ball of burrata on a pizza crust and my absolute favorite... the provolone. The provolone is just hot melted cheese with crusty bread to scoop it out... it's amazing. For the tiny pizzas, you tell them how many you want and they just give you an assortment. You can specify vegetarian or something if you want, but otherwise they choose the pies. Don't worry though because they're all amazing and you might just find a new favorite. When you order, make sure to note the number closest to where you're sitting so they can bring them out for you and don't worry about sitting at a communal table... everyone is pretty friendly.

What a treat! Surprise pizzas??? Yes please! This was a great alternative to evening tapas for wearily travelers. Pizzas are smaller, 2 for adults, 1 for smaller appetites/kids. Salad was utterly delicious!

We ordered a Sangria and El Aguilar. Enjoyed both and had a good conversation with a fellow Traveler. Good sized interior and menu had many Italian options. One of the best Italian spots in the area according to our Server. Wish we had more time to come back for dinner. Service was quick and friendly and we had a good debate about whether or not the El Aguila logo was a Falcon/Eagle. Excellent for Drinks and possibly for Dinner.

If they had offered free refills of Zuppa Toscana, I would've gotten suspicious. However, this turned out to be more satisfying than I expected as we were looking for a pasta dinner close to our hotel in the Sant Francesc neighborhood. They open at 7:30PM every evening for dinner. Since we aren't Europeans used to dining late, we, of course, showed up right when they opened. Needless to say, we got a table right away. We decided to share the 12,9€ Ave Cesar (Caesar Salad), a pretty hearty mix of croutons, mixed greens, Grana Padano cheese, grilled chicken, and bacon, all tossed a tad too liberally in Caesar dressing (Photo 8). Honestly it was more entree than starter but a good enough segue way to our pasta plates. Jamie ordered the 13,8€ Pappardelle al Ragu alla Bolognese, consisting of flat noodles tossed in a slow-cooked veal ragu (Photo 10). The sauce was a bit watery, but the pappardelle was nicely al dente. I went for the 15€ Ravioloni di Ossobucco, artfully assembled ravioli stuffed with veal ossobucco and caramelized onions, tossed in a creamy saffron sauce and topped with gremolata (Photo 9). A well-executed plate of pasta. Definitely not the Olive Garden. FOOD - 4 stars...some hiccups but tasty Italian food for the most part AMBIANCE - 4 stars...spacious...and I like the vintage American movie posters (Photo 5) SERVICE - 3.5 stars...quietly efficient TOTAL - 4 stars...a chain restaurant worth trying RELATED - Exploring Valencia?
