I'm pretty sure the tech's name was Tommy and he was extremely helpful and friendly. He also took the time to explain the issue and what he did to fix it.

Ends up they come out again for no charge. A different tech came and told me that wire did need to be connected and when he did all was well. He told me the connection was very loose so he had to recrimp wire to make tight then left saying sorry this happened. As I said b4 when I connected wire it was very tight fitting. I believe 1st tech left wire barely connected so eventually it would come loose as it did Problem is if I did not catch this problem I could of been charged for a communication circuit board which would have been very expensive. The first tech knew that the wire had to be very tight to work properly and did not do so. So an unsuspecting customer could potentially have had to pay an expensive repair charge. Beware

I used to do utility consumption modeling for the Federal government and was probably an annoyance with all the different specs and models I wanted to compare before choosing, but they were always polite. I was very pleased with both their prices and work. I confess to having a bias towards Carrier products over a number of moves because they seem to offer a good cost/reliability/efficiency mix than two other brands I've tried. Also, I got the energy savings I expected with the Carrier models more-so than with two other well-rated brands. We are fortunate to have other good contractors and equipment choices in our area, but I recommend getting a quote from this firm if you are in the market. One suggestion: learn what SEER and HSPF mean and use those ratings when deciding how much to spend when considering more efficient units. Sometimes the payback on a higher efficiency unit easily justifies a higher cost, and sometimes it doesn't.

When they service a unit, it works like new and runs a long time. I have always thought my bills from Air Conditioning Servicers were reasonable. I've used Air Conditioning Servicers for over 26 years for our rental properties and my own home as well. Whether it was installing a new system or maintaining an existing one, Air Conditioning Servicers has done an outstanding job. The folks at Air Conditioning Servicers are honest and really have integrity.

His wife runs the office and billing. I waited patiently for them to give me the very last estimate before I decided who to choose for my install. K & K was the only vendor that did not increase their original budgetary estimate after they came out to inspect my old system. They were significantly cheaper and did not try to tell me there's extra stuff we have to do. Installers were fantastic guys!

Mitsubishi has an excellent reputation, so I'm of the opinion that their initial workmanship was substandard. They charged us $270 for the last visit/repair. Additionally on an earlier visit, they broke one of the plastic interior unit frames and taped it back together without saying anything. We noticed that it was broken and complained and a replacement piece has been on backorder for months. The final complaint is we had to scrub the floors after they were done because of the dirt they tracked in and we had to repaint the walls because of their oily handprints on the paint. I'm glad we don't have white carpet. Would I recommend them? No.
