Of all the places- I'm originally from Iowa, the winery owner Jim is from Wisconsin, we meet in Australia.
Highly recommended by our driver for the great wine and a spot of food on our wine tour day.
We checked in with the hostess asking for lunch and a tasting. She noted our tour badge and sat us immediately. And got us started knowing our time was a little limited. So next time I make this stop when I have two hours to eat and sip. But I still enjoyed the food and experience.
Regina was absolutely amazing. Starting off with the 2021 Prologue Sparkling $42AU. Lots of tiny bubbles with a slight tartness.
2022 Up In the Air Viognier $32AU.
2022 Nordic Frost Riesling $32AU, a new release that I can get online in the states.
2022 Miss Sunshine Riesling $26AU. Just a hint of sweet, reminiscent of the German Rieslings I first fell in love with 20 years ago.
2022 First Kids Rose $26AU.
2020 Little Rebel Mourvèdre $36AU. My absolute favorite
The Chocolatier $32AU. Very unique, sweet chocolate wine, well done. We sipped on our bottle as a nightcap on our trip.
The food was hard to decide on, so many great dishes using local fresh ingredients. The lamb tasty and tender. The beet salad delicious and bright.
Next visit I come prepared better with a wine suitcase to take more home. Shipping to the states is rather expensive. There are limited choices online to order from the states. read more
