It's been a little over a month since my loved one has been a resident here…read more At first the entire staff seemed pretty nice and pleasant, most still are. HOWEVER give it time and the true colors will shine. Very unorganized facility, there is a new business admin who seems to want to see the place turn around, but it will take a lot of work. If I did not know any better, I would have thought that most of the nursing staff received their degrees online and whatever agency they use to bring in CMAs should be blown up and put out of business. If you don't really like people or hate the sight of washing someone else's ass or like to half do your job, then this is NOT the profession for you, stay the hell home. Residents have to beg for meds, beg for a damn bath, nurses spend most of the day just handing out medications all shift long. There are too many residents assigned to one nurse and CMA. Neglect is high here, trust me. If you can take the time and find a better nursing home please do, if you really love yourself and family member RUN like hell to another facility. I cant wait to get mine out of here.

This facility let my father who has limited body movement due to his Parkinson Disease; lay in his feces and urine all night long. No employee ever came through the whole night to check on him. I urge for no one to put their love one through this nightmare. I will be filing complaint with the State Health Department and The BBB, and will summit all my pictures with my complaint on the neglect my father received. I will post this on my FB for my family and friends to be inform about this facility.

It is a 28 day program. T.C.R.C. requires negative COVID test results in hand when arriving and recommends filling all scripts with a 30 day supply of your meds. The staff was exceptional, held meetings all day Monday - Friday and on Saturday and Sunday as well (just not as many). The mansion was clean, food was great...all done by clients. From what I can recall, the schedule was something like this: Monday - Friday 6AM was breakfast (cereal) & 1st Med Call 7:45AM was morning Meditation (basically roll call Mood, Affirmation Quote, etc) 8AM - 9AM was chores / cleanup 9AM - noon was meetings (AA, NA, CA and in house staff led meetings). Noon - Lunch prepared and served by clients 1PM - 5PM was meetings (AA, NA, CA and in house staff led meetings). 2PM was afternoon Med Call 5PM was dinner 8PM was evening Meditation 9PM was last Medication call, temperature check and snacks. 10:30PM was lights out. Saturday and Sunday we started later and had a hot breakfast on Sunday Morning. Sweet Tea and Coffee all day everyday. 7 smoke breaks a day, vapes are allowed and there is USUALLY community cigarettes. T.C.R.C. has TONS of movies, books for idle time, 2 large TVs downstairs with Internet access on them so the staff allowed us to play YouTube music on 1 of the TVs (Group Room) while the other TV usually had sports or News on it (Boring). So we were jamming out Metallica, Pearl Jam, etc. during idle times. The kitchen also has a radio so the clients would be jamming out 97.1 The Eagle rock while preparing meals which added to the kewlness. Turtle Creek Recovery Center is NOW an ALL male facility except for Staff. There is 1 restroom downstairs for client use, 1 Handicap room equipped for 2 with shower and restroom. There are 3 bathrooms on 2nd and 3rd floors with shower / tub and 1 handicap room on 2nd floor as well with private bathroom / shower / toilet. Typically 3 males are assigned to each room, the beds are very comfortable and 2 windows per room. I had a nice view of some trees overlooking the One Uptown Condos building. After a person has been there 3 - 4 weeks, the staff tries to assign a private room for that person which is really nice. I was there for Christmas 2020 and New Years 2021 and the staff hosted a WONDERFUL Christmas meal from Cowboy Chicken, had homemade dishes, we played all sorts of games (Christmas Bingo, Pin the nose of Reindeer, etc) and even gave us all really nice Christmas gifts (Knit hat, long wool socks and an Old Spice men's kit of Body Wash, Deodorant & Body Spray).

Their specialized rehabilitation teaches the patient how to live life from a wheelchair. As terrible and as sad as an injury like this is, no one was in there moping. The positive energy that fills this hospital is amazing. It's truly incredible to see what a person can do with the right information. This rehabilitation center provides the patient with information that, while not hard, may have never been utilized. I give this place five stars because the staff, every one of them were sincere, positive, and accommodating. I have one exception. A doctor who seems to have fallen into a rut of repetition, unwilling to personalize his specific and unique authority. Dr. Lance Bruce. When questioned about a credible, however unique (to the patient) condition, he blew it off and was rather rude. I am not going to get into specifics, but my family has health care experience so we weren't just talking out of our respective you know whats. But since there is such minimal contact with this doctor, even if you are his patient, and since the real support comes from everyone else here, I still give this place an A+ for making such a terrible situation for someone into a manageable lifestyle. Family is also welcome at all times. Each patient has a weekly meeting about their progress in which their doctor, physical therapist, nurse, social worker, and family are in attendance.

I have noticed a gradual improvement in the attitudes of employees, to each other and to customers. However, I went yesterday and while shopping saw row after row ofbins being brought out but covered with sheets or blankets, so not open for shopping. They then told all shoppers they were closing from 12-1 so pay for items and leave, or wait in front area til they reopen. Also, if you spend $50 at checkout you would be allowed back in at 12:30. Of course the roundup and exit of shoppers to pay meant a longggg line to checkout. It has always been curious to me that they don't seem to have fundamental retail expertise, nor do they seem to care about their customers at all, and this latest change really reinforces that. Their method of replacing bins is chaotic-the last time I was at the Austin Outlet they had an organized way of doing it, starting at one end and then moving down replacing each row. It was a while back, but seemed to work. Why in the world would you make shoppers leave when they are shopping at your store? i dunno, just felt disrespectful. I don't get there till 10ish, and typically spend more than 2 hours there, so its no longer a fun place for me to shop, so I won't go as often, if at all. Fortunately i live in between the Dallas and Ft Worth store, so I'll just try the Ft Worth store instead.
